Armor Repair amounts seems to be a really stupid and useless choice on this Heavy Mech.

Please come up with something a bit more useful.

Do those bonuses apply if the scarb is remote repped?

If so, thats good, because it means you can support tank the scarb while your transporting; since it has only 1 leg slot you can use a lwf instead of sheild and drag a gargoyle along for support.

ROFL with 750 Base Armor...Yea I'm going to try a spider tank with it...Yea...

At Anni : Sure the hit size bonus is nice...but common Dev could of came up with a better bonus then a 5% To armor Rep.  Really They could have.

Mmm, yeah, 750...

Whats that end up as with max complex/mech. extensions and maybe a t4 med plate?


Edit: So looking at this in comparison to any industrial;

Basically, if any combat bot finds an indy bot 1000m away from a TP or outpost solo, its almost certainly toast.

So unattended, this isn't going to be any different.

The question is if it's worth making 1 trip at 720U with multiple support bots, or making (3) trips with a lithus.

As mentioned in the other thread, if your on beta mining and the TP's are covered, you can probably get away with using this to haul back-forth to your beta outpost since it should be able to drive around NPC's.

It certainly seems like a caravan type bot, where you have 4-5 of them hauling stuff from alpha to beta outpost (or vice-versa) with a blob of support bots.

tldr; I don't recommend using this bot to artifact hunt with solo on beta... just saying smile

1. i did not say hitsize, i sead stealth... the Scarab has 100 masking - thats as good as an assault. with a good t4 masking module it cannot be seen from very far.
2. it has a 1% armor bonus per industrial robot control
3. hitsize -0.30 per glide robot control, thats -2.4 at lvl8, and thus making it "smaller" then a heavy mech (if you want to fit shields thats good for you)

Working as intended (again the peanut gallery wants to change things they have not touched yet roll ). This bot as the devs said is move slope capable than other haulers but it lacks in other areas. If you bring one to beta better have some guards. To me it looks more like a TP hauler. We lithus just the stuff from beta to the Alpha TP scarab takes the 3 lithus loads and heads for alpha terminal the lithus' head back to beta terminal. Sure it seems like your not making it easier for most people but a corp builder using this to push titan to the beta crews and pull epi back to alpha makes perfect sence to me.

Way to miss the point.

If your going to go that route just pull all the bonus's off the Scarab.

Really if you make bots at least give them bonus that make just a bit of sense.
A armor repair amount with one leg slot makes zero sense at all.  Period.

you can fit a repair module there and 4 repair tunings into your headslot. you got a hitpoint bonus, and in theory, you could also fit an armor nexus to boost your hitpoints a bit.

weapon slots on any industrial bot makes no sense either under current module balance (not even the center slot on zenith makes sense... )

but they are there.

Time will show - first someone needs to build that thing...

I don't need time to tell me that with 750 armor hit points, you cant tank the thing...Period.  It just cant happen.  ANY assault will be able to *** any tank you could put on it.

But yea someone needs to build the thing first...then the QQ will start...THEN something will change.

also 750 is not right... that bot starts with 825 HP
(industrial robotics lvl8 is prerequisite to drive it)

summary: this thing has
- the hitpoints of a prometheus,
- the speed of a lithus,
- the hitsize of a heavy mech,
- the slope capability of a sequer
- the masking of an assault combat bot
- the cargo capacity of 3 lithus

did someone ask for a hybrid ?

Need to forget about the bonuses. I think they are there to encourage you to fail fit. Use a shield or take your chances with a lwf or evasive mod..maybe.?

OH WELL SURE.

That extra 75 Armor amount will surely make all the difference.

Still a fail bonus on a Heavy that needed something else.  Or just remove it all together.

OMG Cry lately? Seriously this is a niche robot its not gonna tank the spawn with you like your lithus can its a freighter.... Have you ever seen what happens to 18 wheelers when they flip a trailer? No, ok well cargo goes every where and the trailer is turned in to a couple of axels and maybe a mudflap. This bot isn't ment to tank crap its a paper thin transport, take it or leave it but stop crying until your sitting in it. Not many people like all the bonuses on all the bots would you rather it have the resists like the other indy bots? In fact truely I don't want to know what bonuses you want it to have. Lobo...I don't want it to tank like a lithus.

I want the bonus for the bot to actually make sense.
Having a Armor repair bonus amount with one leg slot and small pool of ACC to back it up just doesn't make the case for it to even have the bonus in the first place.

There are several bonus that would make more sense with out favoring one tanking or the other.

Such as:
ACC Expansion Per LvL
Recharge Per LVL
Sig Masking Per LvL
Added Slope Capability Per LvL
Nexus Range Boost Per LvL
Added Cargo Capacity Per LvL

And those are just off the top of my head.

How about thinking twice before just dismissing my claim and think for a second.
I don't want this thing to tank and run like a lithus, we already have a lithus.  What I want is a bot that is unique and has sense-able bonus to boot.

tbh, i want the current robot bonuses removed completely. They are to much of an deciding factor on what to fit on a robot, while the slot-count is a limiting factor of whats even possible.

each module should work with the same efficiency on any bot. If you need robot bonuses, than something like:
Artemis
-5% CPU/reactor costs for laser equip per adv. robotics
+5% accumulator output per adv. robotics
+2 point seismic resist per thelodica robot control
+1% detection per special ops control
