Topic: Damaged gear
atm gear that is looted is maybe too much damaged making it hard to sell because you must fix it first.
maybe if we can just sell at a reduced price

That'd complicate the market a lot as you'd have to check more carefully what you buy. Damaging the loot a bit less should work out just as fine.
maybe damage the loot at 50% max
Personally I'd rather see the only stuff on market being 'new' or 'new like' (aka repaired) modules. It could be possible to sell damaged goods, but it'd be another database field.
i mean damage loot dropping from ai
Personally, I'd rather see that equipment dropped off NPCs not be damaged at all. I can't really say which would be a simpler solution, though.
Yesterday I was NPCing for an hour or so and as far I could tell I got only undamaged loot from NPCs.
I personally would suggest the undamaged NPC drops. This works in many MMORPG I know (EVE,WOW,Lineage II, ect ...) . It seems to be a good solution.
Correct, we have set the NPC loot to be dropped undamaged.

Correction to that: the drones drop undamaged loot.
So will you set all loot to drop undamaged?
Problems with damaged loot:
1, Is assembled and as such 5 times bigger then undamaged (packed) items. It takes up too much cargo and drastically reduces income.
2, Repairing is very expensive also reducing income.
As it is now I make about same amouth of money/hour killing "Drone" taking much less risk then killing "Rookie Mantis" which are much stronger and more dangerous. That is not ok.

I'd personally say instead that Drone loot drops seem like they're temporarily set unreasonably high, with the goal of getting new betatesters up and running quickly. I like the damaged loot - it makes sense, and can be recycled. I also like that equipment that is dropped is in assembled form - that's how it was being used.
Maximizing PvE income/hour from one form of play, particularly to the level that there's one "right" way to make money, doesn't make a game that's challenging and addictive.

True. My main issue was, that at the time I wrote this bots had 1/2 cargo they have now. So now it is nice. Altho now we need hauler bots.
If the item is too badly damaged recycle it. You will actually make more than if you repaired it and then sold it.
Correct, we have set the NPC loot to be dropped undamaged.
Is this still the case? ![]()
I was fighting some Castels earlier today and only dropped damaged loot.
As Gargaj said, only drones drop undamaged loot, all the normal NPCs still drop damaged items.
