Topic: stopped working

I hit the launch icon on my desktop, I get the Windows do you want this software to alter your hard drive question, I select yes then window disappears and  That's it.  Software does not start. Currently using Windows 7 -64.  I've only been testing for one day although I did spend quite a bit of time and have gotten dropped off the server a couple of times.  I have tried restarting my system and that did not work.  So now I am uninstalling and putting in a fresh install.

I'm running Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, and I've never seen any such message over the months I've tested this game.

The game will ask for Administrative access as it requires writing back to /Program Files/ which, unless turned off, will offer the user the option to deny the program access. However once accepted a few seconds later the client should open.

If the reinstall doesn't work then I am not too sure what to suggest.

Someone mentioned to me before that it's a bad practive to use the client's directory to store userfiles (preferences, logfiles, etc.) and should instead adapt to using the proper locations on Windows operating systems (e.g. My Documents, Application Data, etc.).

Though personally I always liked it better when everything was in one place instead of 5 different places and leave leftovers in at least 3 places when uninstalled. Oh yeah, ... good ol' times ;)
