Topic: Lasers getting the weight nerfed

So they are going to increase the weight of lasers. I feel that it's probably wise as a sideways boost to pelestial and to make people think about it before always choosing laser fits on ew. Was wondering on others thoughts, as the longest ranged weapon should it be the lightest?

Well in RL long range weapons tend to be the biggest depending on platform and are the heaviest.

Take a 50 cal sniper rifle ranges from 13 lbs to 34 lbs.

They weight in at 4 pounds, and of course have much less range.....

Does not matter, the bots who get bonuses are slow, if you ignore intakt.

Artemis, baphomet and Seth are all lard arses who go same speeds as pelistial.

Again, completely redundant nerf since it wont matter a jack *** on Artemis, Seth and bapho due to already highest initial weight.

I think it's more based on making people not autofit lasers on ew really.

So your saying they will upp the mass on lasers and ppl will still fit them because of all those   benefits?  unless they make another gun lighter

I think what he's saying and what the devs hope is that if there is a much narrower gap people might fit lasers over em even if they are heavier due to range provided you only lost a couple of km/s. Would you rather have a slightly faster ew bot that hits at a hundred metres than a slower bot that hits at two hundred?
