The Good

Enjoyable combination of physical and magical attacks
    Brutal finishers
    Nasty boss creatures
    Interesting story.

The Bad

    Extremely hard quick-time events

I'm getting this more often. Sometimes one client will be effected whilst another client in exactly the same position in-game won't be.

I've been wondering about this. Two clients and one will get worse lag than the other.
Now either this game uses a LOT of bandwidth and there just isn't enough to run two clients (Highly unlikely) or the server does not like opening and maintaining multiple connections to the same address/host. I've notice it when running on different computers but no where near as badly.

It's been happening for a while and every time I've looked into it I get the feeling it's not my network or the route to the server that is at fault. I don't seem to suffer as much N/A spikes when only running one client on one connection

So:
2 Clients, 1 Computer = Random N/A lag on one client.

You have to hide it a lot better now which on the alpha island is very very hard to do but not impossible.. I stood with a light robot in the middle of a perfect planting location and didn't see a soul for a good 6 hours to 8 hours.

But you're correct in saying that the average yield is now greatly reduced. On beta when they would grow to 50 units at a time I was about to get around 12k Noralgis per 50 cycles. One plant was enough to produce T4 fittings for one heavy mech or at least a mech. The way I see it the devs are trying to make T4 rare as it looks like there won't be much improvement on T4 gear. They should probably have looked at cutting the supply rather than the research and it looks like that's what they've final done.

The idea is to make it hard to produce or at least more time consuming. When the Norgalis plants were growing incorrectly (Growing far too fast) I was able to plant 3 small fields and harvest them every 8 hours for a week. This alone gave me, just for myself, enough Noraglis to produce T4 gear for the coming months if not more. If I was producing for a large corporation it would last a lot less but I'd also be able to gather a purchase a lot more.

The new yields mean it's possible to get around 20 units every few hours per plant but the plants mature a lot faster (It seems to anyway). In the end I am getting slightly less yield (As I can't visit every few hours like clockwork) but in some cases the plants now have more cycles in. I've lost a lot of yield but I am still able to gather much more than I need.

Static Spawns:
They need to still be static but roam a much larger area. The few static spawns that won't be able to roam an area should be placed around a building that they are "Protecting" no more spawns that just poof out of nowhere. Static spawns should NOT be on the new islands and if this means changing the assignment system to be global then so be it. I'd much prefer freedom to choose which spawn to kill for an assignment with single-run storyline assignments being linked to a specific area or building spawn. This could also introduce squad assignments which are set around small NPC encampments that need to be taken out. Key triggers would cause more or less NPC's to spawn and the resulting reward would benefit the squad not just one person.

The developers never liked locking down outposts or content and given that outposts are just stepping stone it's not important yet. It would be awesome however to get income from others doing assignments from your owned outposts or perhaps create your own assignments later on for your own corporation (And others) like collecting kernels, plasma, specific items and such and paying a reward to them.

It's a good move but it's not exactly been a deadly requirement.
I've never heard of the company so I'd like to hear from people that have used it to how they like and rate the service, I get a little apprehensive about using my card just anywhere. Having experienced £3,000 in card fraud can make you a little uneasy but that's not even the main issue.

It's good for people in a rush that just want to subscribe but honestly the EU players can purchase game time cheaper using a third-party website and accepts a lot more payment options. The same issue exists for many other single server games.

Sorry but people are buying them for 10 million each and the less you have the better.
Why would we want to sell them to you in the first place? If you think we need NIC I think you're barking up the wrong tree. Try RG. They've mostly got T4 Industry tunings now and they must be getting them from somewhere.

Yes. So? Since when is knowing what happens in a tiny part of the world game-breaking when it's even possible now?

Scouts are a huge issue at the moment. One person can run as many scouts as they like and see the movement in and out of any island.

Later on once EP is less of an issue you'd have a lot of players just playing for free as EP isn't important past the 1 year mark.

The subscription cost so so low I don't think it even matters to be honest. There is no purchase price for the game. It just seems some people are never happy.

If you don't want to pay $10 a month but still want to play this I think you need to think about how that is fair to the developers. They're working hard, or just working, on new content all the time.

I'd be heavy against a free to play environment. The 15 day free trial is a good start but we just need more of a storyline and things to do. The less scouts the better.

Sounds like packet-loss.
I have, what sounds, the same connection as you from around the same location. Perhaps you could run a ping plotter test?

The updater might need special permissions to take the old file and create a new one. Could you provide a print screen of the error message.
Where are you trying to run the game from? What other programs are running in the background?

Any and all information will help to solve this as you're not the only person but it's very rare.

It would be awesome but their shadow system really isn't the best right now.
First I'd like to see the shadow system improved to the point that other games can do it without issue and then see dynamic lighting out in to the point where everything creates a short term local light source. With lighting turned on I'd also like to see nights made much darker as it's all graphical effects this would just be client side so the server needs to do nothing new.

Geoscanner folders:
I really hope this also allows the data to be shared a lot more easily. In the end all you get is a snapshot of the area and currently sending the data to other members of a squad is very very difficult.

Event notification system:
Do want!

Explosion damage:
As long as this doesn't a) crash the server or b) create waves of suicide robots instead of real PVP then I am all for it!

Spark teleport:
I'll pass judgement on that later. Seems like it'll go the way of the teleport beacon and interference transmitter. Not needed if not powerful enough or exploitable if too powerful.

Performance-based assignment rewards:
Scrap this idea and make a whole new chain of assignments with optional repeatable side assignments. Micro storyline for all factions with an Industry/Logistics and Combat/Logistics balance. With repeatable extras. 3 to 5 assignments per stage (Level 1 to 6). This would be very awesome. Performance based offers would be awesome. Kill 15 robots in 5 minutes of one type and be offered a special bounty mission to kill something similar. Only a 50% chance to get the offer or something like that.

I suggest allowing players to join corporations would be acceptable and direct trading (But not NIC) would be acceptable however the issue is as JeanMi has said, the trial is there to protect us and give you an idea of what the game is like. The idea isn't to experience it all, it's to see what you do and don't like about the game. If you like it and want to not just view the world but interact with it then you'll need to subscribe.

Think of yourself as a data ghost. You and I are in the same world but can't interact. I think trial accounts should be limited to the islands they can visit as well. A free 15 day scout is a very nice thing to have.

Honestly this game doesn't require installing. All that is requires to run the game is the EXE and the GBF. Perhaps moving the EXE and GBF to another directory and then back again once it's updated could work.

If not does moving the EXE to its own directory allow the game to open? Else it seems that the EXE is broken. I wonder if the Devs could do with looking at this corrupt EXE file or something like that.

your right, and such a wonderful waiste of useless ep....lol

That's a total of 30 days it can be increased to. Level 5 makes it 30 days..

Seems to be balanced to me. You can make a heavy mech cheaper than the market price as long as you input more time to it but then you suffer the opportunity cost.

What's next, the head of a gropho handbag?

How were smaller corporations getting kernels before?
Answer: Farming them.

How are smaller corporations meant to get kernels now?
Answer: Farming them and buying them.

Now I think if we all wait a week or so people will start to sell kernels. I won't and nor will my corporation as we're still using kernels but those who don't want kernels (Which should be most people) will either be selling them to their corporation or selling them on the market.

Insurance will not be changed. You can make a robot far cheaper than you could buy it. (In some cases but not all).
Insurance will never be touched because it's a massive NIC seed when used right.
Don't use what you can't afford to purchase.

I have to agree with Alexadar.
This change was good. Nothing has changed in effect. For some people they'll be better off and for others they'll be worse off.

Large communist corporations will now get NIC and research instead of one or the other. The fact is that very few people should be researching. One player in 50 should be using kernels. Any more than that is a waste and is pretty useless to the game. Now if you want to research kernels and don't farm them you can afford to buy them and people should now be selling them as they're only useful for science.

The 50% reduced drop rate is canceled out buy the 100% decrease in NPC buy orders. Kernels don't just vanish anymore. Whatever happens to them is player decided.
Research SHOULD take a long time. I've been with CIR on their farming operations and they're pitiful. If you want T4 you've got to step up your game.

New players can get T2 and T3 without even stepping foot on the beta islands and with the new island soon it'll be even easier to farm higher tiered mobs. Soon we'll see roaming gangs meeting NPCing groups and then fun PVP will be had where sometimes the NPCing group wins!

Truhold-Markson tutorial assignment / File #3-b (It sounds like the assignment you stopped at) is available from another terminal on another island. You have to travel there and accept it and then take a unit of cargo back to Truhold-Markson Alpha terminal.

5 / 627.3036 * 2 = ???

Yes, if this works it'll be great.
Can we have armour in the squad window sort by percentage remaining too rather than precise remaining?

I can tell you that larger beta islands should not be selling kernels. The only reason ever to sell kernels would be in some force of peace offering as anyone stupid enough to give advanced technology to the enemy won't be on beta for very long.

Kernels at a lower tier are fine. You'll get your T2 research without a problem but you won't be able to get that T4 without living on a beta island or at least being allied with a beta island that can't control itself.

Nothing really changed with this kernel change apart from some alliances will take longer to get T4 and some will get it faster depending on how they operated.

Email support with the old and new email address and as many factors as you can to prove that the account is yours. If you provide enough evidence it's possible they'll change it but it's not promised.

I agree but for different reasons.
You make it sound like standard fit robots stand no chance against big T4 fit players and most of the time you'd be right but the issue isn't smaller corporations not being able to catch up or join in it's there is no reason to.

Why would a 10 or 20 man corporation want an outpost? What else is there between nothing an outposts? Nothing. There needs to be some form of "Home Base" bonus to corporations that live out of alpha outposts. There are many outposts just not being used right now for the simple fact a blob can just wander through and ruin hours of work.

Kernels are the tip of the iceberg when it comes to why new players feel left out. The new player experience is terrible, the need for gear is minimal and the desire to improve just doesn't take root in most players because there is no reason to. Market dominance just isn't worth it when someone can come along and ruin all your plans just by mistake.

The game needs more players but at the same time it need alliances to desolve. It's needs outposts to be fought over and not shared. The devs need to make sharing harder.

Sellers should be selling as as many locations as they can to maximize profits however more NPC seeds should not be added.
