far less players active then, remember, you guys bored everyone out the game by avoiding pvp and allying up with the rest.

anyway enjoy your one man ninja sapping corp.

What do you care about beta anni? your in a one person corp that hasn't been active in 3 years.  You only once showed up to any pvp.  You think more of these dead vet corps with two active ninja sappers should own a station they couldn't possibly defend?

Nothing is more cool than continually asking for game changes for a game you just don't play.

No undocking once for pvp in the least 3 years, and no hanging out in chat for a few days doesn't make you active.

Vets need to stop clinging onto their dead ancient corps, get in with the noobs, and perhaps try to make a coherent and organized corp that could actually do something against the 20 people who own the game world.

That's right, 20 damn people, and that's on a good day.

Look I hate the current sap mechanics more than anyone, it just promotes inactivity, and casues people with no intentions of ever holding a station to take saps only if no one else is around.

Beta politics will change once the rest of the server, mostly the vets like you who are inactive and cling to dead corps, get involved with the game again, and when sap mechanics change to promote fighting for stations.

And if you cant get 20 people together to fight us, that's a problem for your side not ours.  This game has many times more active players than 20 (despite its typically 5-10 for us usually under 10)

I think some slight, very slight, counterbalancing might be needed to tweak some things.

Im never a fan of large, game impacting, mega balancing changes in any mmo...I think things should be done slightly and over a long period of time.

The result of high impact balance changes is over reaction from the community.

This patch saw just about every bot changed in a significant way, in a lot of cases more than what was needed to effectively balance bots.

I like what the goal of the patch was, however I think they could have buffed assaults, made heavies more tanky, and made light mechs more ??? demob reistant??  without the heavy handed nerfs we saw.

Im sure the balance change took a lot of time and dev work to do, so I don't think they are just going to undo it, despite I think the game was overall in a better place balance wise prior...at least in terms of bots having a real and necessary use on the field.  I think just a flat boost to assaults and nothing else would have been a better first step.  Then followed with very small, and incremental, balance changes to heavies and light mechs.

what other upstarts would NSE fight?

NSE is the only upstart corp in game?

Ok lets pretend they are.

Perhaps picking a fight with bad veterans might be a bit better?

Sorry im still dumbfounded how when given free reign of an island the new players always all ally up to make it a pve zone then complain they have no one they are able to properly fight.

I know you've been told by other failed vets that we are some massive unstoppable blob-zerg that cant be dealt with due to our massive numbers and all...but the corp size info graphic states quite a different story, and the fact is weve had a small number of players for some time now, and our numbers are well known...as is our fleet composition....the fact that no one has yet to make a counter fleet is disappointing, not even JOKE and the mega zerg this summer tried to make a counter fleet (other than gate games with short range tank fleets I guess...though that wasn't a counter fleet.)

You guys are not going to stop us by making and remaking disorganized and fractured mega alliances and fighting no one else but us....Youll never have proper enemies allied up with 99% of the server (even if its not official allies you guys need to fight people your level of skill to get at least a baseline of skill)

We tried twice to create this, luckily CONS took somewhat advantage of the opportunity the first time, unfortunately their leadership bailed some time ago.

On top of that, the vets in game cling to their dead and failed corps of the past rather than forming one organized and coherent corp to help noobs.

Holding hands, gifting stations, and trying to help doesn't and hasn't worked.  Only thing left is to play as normal and hope someone with brains and leadership rises us and a real pvp corp is reborn from the ashes.  Not holding my breath though.

I really do not believe anything Zoom says, and at this point a firm "No" is about the only answer you can give out.

They said they are working on the game engine overhaul which they said would be almost like a perp 2.0.

a game engine overhaul doesn't mean a server wipe.

Not to mention, you refuse to acknowledge the fact that a server wipe isn't going to give you better pvp skills.  I know you are hoping for a wipe so that you can be on the same level as some of the vets, but that isn't why we are on top.

server wipe wont make your fledgling alliance of dead vet corps and upstart noobs any more competent.

Hard to get experience fighting mk2 heavies. There are barely any of us to fight each other so we can only fight you lol

Yeah shame there isn't an option to...you know...not be allied with every damn corp in game other than us....

this might sound like crazy talk, but perhaps you should fight with the other upstart corps, rather than wishing the most organized group of 20 players in game didn't have mk2 bots.

Ill be honest with you, doesn't matter the class of bots we use, that's not the root cause of your guys inability to beat us.  It has more to do with organization, tactics, and leadership than it does with the type of bot we use.  Its a hard pill to swallow, but if the game was nothing but arkhes, we would still be on top...

You wont get to the higher class of pvper status by asking the devs to make it so, and to beg them to nerf what we can use.  Others have tried this.  The only path to pvp salvation is to gain pvp experience via fighting all the other corps on the same skill level as you, and to grow into a vet pvp corp by experience.

If all your pvpers would be granted MK2 heavy access with free t4 fittings the resulting pvp would be just the same as when we fought the other vets.  Joke/STC/REMEDY/FNAVY ect.  EP and bot class doesn't make for a win or loss unless the organization and player skill as a team are equal.

Its a truth none of the newer players want to accept...unfortunately.

Grinding without overall goals is boring in a sandbox, you need to create your own reasons and goals in a game like this.

Get some of your corp members riled up and participate in pvp with more than just yourself, this will add pve goals as youll all need to farm stuff to make bots to lose in pvp.

Most problems with lack of "content" can be solved by participating in pvp...

They had this games only chance for a wipe before steam, it would be impossible now to wipe....also I would like to point out that Celebro is right.

CIR/77 isn't on top due to EP.  A wipe isn't going to have the effect on the new players that would make them competent at pvp...only experience will do that.

Joke is a two man corp and chaos is too busy conquering their friendly neighbors in real life.

REST is the rest of the server against us.  A few minor alpha skirmishes doesn't matter they will be at your side the second they think you guys have a chance against us.

Those talking about "infinite minerals" seem to always forget that it doesn't really matter that much. NPCs are also infinite but I can't remember any complaints about that, although it's pretty much the same.

What matters is the number of players gathering the minerals and the time they invest into it. Those factors shape the prices, and then there is of course the question of demand.

My point is that its incredibly easy to get all the ores you need in game, most of which without any risk.

Well there would be catching up if you know....the vets here actually played the game and didn't have egos too big to pvp beyond random harassment skirmishes.

But ego is more important than game enjoyment.

Also who cares about mining amount?  Every damn ore in game is sitting there in infinite amounts....never ending ore spawns....and the vast majority in locations where there is ZERO risk to anything, not even red mobs anymore.

All you have to do is be active and the small amount mined that got nerfed doesn't even matter....

Hell the new players are all bragging about how almost every member of theirs is an indy only account....they should be rolling in the ores with more than enough left over to barter for whatever EPI they cant ninja.

This patch buffed noobs.

Your beloved assaults can now contend with heavies.

The vets got screwed, specifically ictus pilots and some green bots.

I love all the QQ's more than anyone here but the noobs should be dancing in the street right now, all your assaults are now badass.

The noobs are crying about new skills, however the new skills only require a 400-ish EP investment to use any bot, even the mk2, even the mk2 heavies, and all those skills do is stack on bonuses that were not present before.

Its win win for lower EP accounts.  Vets it doesn't matter for a lot of them, they have multiple roles decked out.

The people who got hurt by this were people who were specialized in one role that got nerfed into the ground.

But hey, last time there was a major balance change that saw lots of bots become useless there wasn't even an option to respect EP.  Its not even as damaging to players as the follow bot nerf that saw anyone with support bots get a major nerf, and people who relied on multiple support bots couldn't use them as before, rendering lots of their accounts 100% useless.

Give it some time an im sure some balance will seep out there....it sucks seeing what was the only use for certain bots be taken away...but to be honest, for the newer players, getting those assault buffs more than makes up for it.

This is the same problem the new players have with pvp.  Just because the vets are upset doesn't mean you should.  Just like how the whiney vets all cried about having to destroy us saw you all jump on that bandwagon.  The whiney vets should be avoided and left alone.
