If your diplomacy is driven to the ground by Jitas combo breakers I have bad news about your diplomacy skills...

It renders the forums useless in creating a conversation regarding land ownership and diplomacy.  You have a few toxic members who cant be bothered to log in, have very loud opinions on the game they don't play, and junk up others threads with toxic name calling.

Its not just jita, though he is by far the most toxic and frequent root of the issue, you have a few other people who just don't play at all, but feel the need to get in on the action, which makes simple things regarding diplomacy between players in different time zones all the more difficult.

You also have new players who were told were the guys to hate, and do nothing but try to jump on a bandwagon they don't understand, and often get their corps into situations they later regret.

You will appreciate our efforts on making this happen Rola, should you ever find a group of people willing to assist your active efforts in game.  I wish you the best of luck in this, the game needs more active players who try...as you do.

So salty.

On this note, why can't we gild comments?

ZOOM. COME ON.

Im all for circle jerk counters

but aside from that, we really do need a land owners political sub forums with restrictions on corps that are not involved.

we don't need the select few inactive haters junking up sensitive diplomatic threads

Careful what you ask for Stranger, the only forum posting criteria you could pass is volume, not quality, or relevance, or useful, elite, or even fun. Just volume.

Posting in another of a long line of CIR/77 "look at me being an ***" thread.

And please, I will quote Cindy in lieu of the inevitable stock replies, "I have a lifetime account, I can play or post whenever I want"

Please don't close this thread, it concentrates all comments of a certain type in one location for me to read quickly while at work.

Are you a wizard, Stranger

it isnt elitism

its. -   land owners. (good players)

not land owners.  (scrubs)

I don't know what personal reasons you are talking about but defining players based on who "owns" land is pretty much elitism in my book and quite rude too.

Take a look at corp dialogue  we had a thread up regarding someone else owning a station, as a way to open to door to political discussion and possible diplomacy.  The thread gets over run by Jita and Annihilator both of which have nothing to do with game politics or active game play.  Just posting on a thread that has nothing to do with them and spamming insults.

That is exactly why we need a subforum with restricted access, to prevent input from inactive players with extreme bitterness and borderline obsession.  Most of the forum toxicity is coming from inactive players posting regarding past politics that don't even matter at this point.

Some motive for you to put down the forum pvp and actually pvp in game for once perhaps!

The reason this will work is that based on the games political map the player who will be allowed to post there will change, which will be interesting.

Think about the future rather than right now for once.

I can see already a lot of forum pvpers who don't do a damn thing in game really disliking this idea, it would create a dialogue among active pvpers that for once doesn't involve their input....which will be a great relief for many who tire of seeing people who not only don't play but never pvp have so much to say on matters involving pvp and politics.

A:

You sir, know nothing about testing and experimenting, which surprises me, especially since peanut does quite experimentation and testing of game mechanics on live server himself.

In his own way, of course.

That's just the way you are, NEVER adding any REAL incentives to control beta, like the one suggested in this thread.

Wait... you mean this isn't a troll thread? yikes

No its actually be discussed quite a bit during our elite morning "coffee talks" in teamspeak.

There really should be some reward in posting abilities on the forums (or at the least a VIP forum section) for the higher end players to discuss politics, success, and the every day stresses of being so damn successful, without interference from forum alts, new players who are clueless, and failed veterans.

Perhaps having a sub forum for those corp tags who one a beta station would be a good start, it might motivate people a bit without any effort on your end, until at least you can fix the reward mechanics a bit.

meh don't waste time on a silly tourney when theres much needed stuff that needs to be implemented.

DEV Zoom wrote:

Thanks for the confirmation we are getting this, when can we expect its implementation?

Oh it needs to be physically higher up and not downwind from the normal forums, this way the stench of the great unwashed masses wont waft into our lounge and disrupt of discussions on success.

Its great to see a peasant support this idea fully knowing you wouldn't be allowed to enter such an elite forum lounge.

We need more peasants like you to help support our many great causes.

I award you one extra ration of gruel.

I think it should be more like a lounge rather than just a forum section.

I would have liked to see the miner change coming "softer", but don't think it would be good to counter that now with a 50% boost.
Such changes that influence the complete market should be applied in a very sensitive way. An increase ob base yield for 50%  means there is no reason to mine before that patch for endgame miners, as the change would be that drastical on the mined ammount/time.

So its not "too late" what 5 days after the fact, and all the minerals mined in that time will be enough to piss people off and make them quit?

This is a hot fix issue, patch it up tomorrow and be done.

But, what we will get is a half assed promise of "this is what we will do, but it will be 3 months before we might do it".
In the mean time, that three months is enough time for the reverse to occur, the damage will be done.

This is what Zoom plans on happening, a delayed tactic, promise something great and hope we forget about it.

imo nothing was more damaging than you getting your buddies kicked off kent and hokk, having to roll an alt forum account to continue your stupidity anonymously
