How about this:
- remove levels from kernels
- increase a nubmer of kernels you need to complete KB
- balance plasma outcome accordingly to NPC level
As a result, newbies (and not only them) will get a chance to finish their KB farming whatever they like even on alpha. Fastest way to do so will be farming low-level NPC in huge amounts, as a result - increase of damaged common fragments amount which can be sold on market (optional - make then non-recycleable). As an additional, it can increase demand of rare resources, make high-level stuff more accessible which will increase pvp combats.
Why to bother in farming high-level NPC then? Same as now - they will be main source of high-quality fragments, loot and plasma.

Tell you what, on the loading screen it does load some other strange things (f.e. equipment including some we didn't even saw yet).

While I personally don't care about this game anymore and posting here just because I still have about 6 months paid on this account, I feel necessary to clear some things for you.
There already was lots of threads about nerf shields/erp/other stuff, and there will be more until things are changed in one way or another. You wonder why? Let me explain that for you.

As far as I can see, common players are thinking that some features are imbalanced, that leads us to:
imbalanced > balanced
Now, what do we see on the forums? Common players are saying that one or other thing is too op/weak, and bring something that they think is prooving their words. Very smart players are mostly telling "ALL OK STFU L2P GTFO" don't bothering to bring any prooves. ok but what does that mean?

How about just making shields vulnerable to weapon fire?
They are. They are unaffected by any kind of resists and absorbing even more damage you could get without them, rest is your hp/ap efficiency, which is, in Tyrannos case, not that high.
