Thanks for your reply

EG Signal detection / masking, Sensor surpressing. Not sure if these are must haves for all PvPers or are they for EW toons.

Please feel free to critique my EP expenditure

Don't play the game at the moment, just log in to spend EP. So don't  know too much about how things are going on the field.

I have a Early Access toon. I have just concentrated my EP on DPS for Nuimquol. So hardly anything spent on Ewar and nothing spend on other factions.

It's getting to the point where any one of my marked extensions is going to cost 3500 to get to the next level and they are the ones that seem crap like CPU fitting skills and Accelerated Reloading for example. Some of the decent ones are approaching the 10000 to get to next level.

Just wondering if I should continue on the path of having a specialised toon who is Nuimquol, DPS only or should I start spending EP on EWAR or other races?

EG Energy Management and the other Accumulator EP (forget name) are both lvl 7and to get them to 8 will cost 13k each. With that EP I could probably get all laser related EP in the 4's and 5's.

Would appreciate some advise from the early access guys that PvP. Probably not too many I guess (50?)

Don't the IGN's and Gamespot's of this world review games like this?

My "faith" is starting to diminish but I'm subbed for a year so we will see what happens

As above, this change effects PvE making it more of a PITA.

You either loot only what you need which is a lot of tedious micro management right clicking or you loot all (hotkeyable and convenient) but then have to disengage to destroy whatever is crap.

As you get close to your cargo limit this means that if you loot all, you have to disengage every 2 or 3 mobs.

Fully support that being able to destroy your loot in a PvP encounter is completly lame so ask the Devs for a more elegant solution.

Allow accounts to have negative EP when deleting characters.  That will completely solve this problem.

This should be a quick and easy fix, devs. You got it mostly right, tho, so hats off

The No delete cargo should be changed to not effect PvE encounters.

I loot everything as I farm and delete crap as I get filled up (loot all is hot keyable)

Now I either unagress before I can delete (interferes with DPS and NIC earning potential) or I will only loot what I need (more of a PITA as it's more clicking than "loot all") resulting in more container spam on the ground.

Otherwise, good patch overall

Yes, GI Joe, I guess they can. But it's not without cost. The NIC spent on initially buying an Extension will be lost (probably 3 mill), all reputation grinding will be lost and all research progress will be lost.

But I am sure there will be a few alts on a seperate account that will respec into the Intact, without a doubt.

I'll be offering a "stuff" holding service for any toons that wanna delete themselves but pass their "stuff" to someone to hold for them to pass on to their new toon.

Obviously, if you are in a corp, use someone on there. This is for all the loners who have no mates.

You will need to trust me, but I won't scam you. All transfers will be using Red Five, not some obscure alt.

Let me know the time you will be on. Try and get all your "stuff" to the New Virginia Alpha.

There will be no charge, just wanna help out.

Just realised BoyC's posts are on another forum. The BoyC on there might be fake. Has anything been mentioned through official channels?

In this game they do, yes

My predictions on some matters being discussed recently:

EP cost for character deletion will be dropped within 2 months
Attribute respec won't happen at all
Farming of starter bots depriving n00bs of the spawns will be "fixed" within 2 months
Ewar will be nerfed a bit within 2 months
Overhaul of the radar system within 9months (what it will be I can't predict)
Overhaul of beta islands within 9 months (also can't predict what it will be)

Keep in mind that EP is account based. Why spend EP on another character just to try out new equipment, why not just spend them simply on your main?

You do know about the OCD phenomenon in stEve, right? There are plenty of people out there that hate to have wasted skills on their skill sheet and hate seeing it on others skilll sheets. It is not all in the mind, neither. Toons being sold in stEve that have wasted EP sell for less.

Lets say a combat toon has 40m skills in combat stuff and 10m skills in industry, he will sell for less than another toon that has 40m just in combat stuff and nothing else, cos of the OCD factor.

So because of this, in Perp, some n00bs are gonna start up new toons to check out the different wep sets.

This is not the be all and end all of reasons why people start new toons but it's a factor.

Confirming I dont have OCD btw, it's just other people

I don't know, I read it on forums and can't remember which. A few descriptions for a few extensions arn't entirely accurate.

Its not quite as bad as my above figures as if I am at the herald spawn I sometimes have to wait for a new spawn to appear which never happens at the grunt spawn so lower my herald nic/ sec by, say 5-10%

This can be solved by making harder bots pay more after accounting for increased travel time, increased kill time and increased ammo use.

The Sevant Heralds outside TMA net me far better NIC than the Sevant Grunts that are 500m further away.

I can 2 shot the Heralds so that's 700 nic on ammo but I four or sometimes 5 shot grunts, thats 1400 at best in ammo

Herald 500m away

Kernal              5500
Random loot, say 500
                       ===
Total income    6000
Outlay in ammo 700
                     ====
Profit              5300

Time taken to kill 10s so 530 nic per second

Grunts 1000m away (more travel time but not taken into consideration)

Kernal                6500
Random loot, say 1000
                        ====
Total income       7500
Outlay in ammo   1400
                        ====
Profit                 6100

Time taken to kill 20s so 305 nic per second

I go farm the Grunts these days cos I felt a bit of a douch farming those newb bots but it is costing me serious NIC

Yes it's clear, numb nuts. I asked cos it might be wrong (like a few other extension descriptions currently are)

Both skills raise the effectiveness of ECM modules.

Do they also raise the effectiveness of ECCM? If not, does anything else?

TIA

You will have to make a new account and become WeakBadMan or StrongGoodMan or somink. Sucks but that's how it is currently.

Mark my words, Devs will change this *** policy.

Stop costing yourselves subs, Devs. People new to games just dive in and screw up. If they are penalised for this they shrug their shoulders and find another game to try out.

Zoom just cos you announce your *** policy a lot wont stop people here complaining about it. As stated 3 or 4 times by others. it was knee jerk and ill-thought through.

Hasn't effected me in the slightest by the way. Just helping out the ignorant n00bs

If you insure a robot, what happens to the insurance when you trade it (by trade, i don't mean selling it using the market).

Does it transfer to new owner? Does new owner get the nic once robot gets destroyed?

Or is it invalidated?

Talk of the EA bonus is a red herring as it boils down to:

New players will always have less EP than older players.

Thats the issue to discuss.

Best solution: Player skill / knowledge being of far greater importance than EP.

Other solutions: Accelerated EP acquisition for new players /  Initial EP for new players
