My CEO was balanceing her books, and knowticed only her [and the alt on the account] showes activity on the ledger; taxes, pay In, pay outs ,ect. The other members buy, and sell items.  But no taxes are collected.

PAYOUTs that go BYE BYE....

I did a few payouts to myself ,and another person. The NIC left corporate account but never got to anyone.  Lost,  Gone,  Finito. 300,000 NIC in the Ether.

While hunting on attalica I kept running into these Sticky tiles [they look clear even with the L key in use] I will get stuck on them for a few seconds. If I fire on or next to them my fire hits that tile. Most commonly on hilly terrain, yet can be encopuntered on flat as well.

Here are some coordiantes for a few of these sticky tiles:
935.00x665.00
986.00x612.00
987.00x614.00
991.00x623.00
1012.00x635.00
1015.00x630.00

There are many more in that region.

It seems that any value less than 0.01 shoes as 0.00 yet stacks with other piles to make 1 more. Seems to happen when a random resorce is garnered from Counsoles.

Started to DL the newest patch. 1/2 way through the patch I got an error message 'Unable to open file [<didn't get the name befor the message was gone>]". Then the client crashed.

Each time I try to open the client since this crash I get the 'Submit crash report'. I do so and the client closes. The patch was not complete. I tried 5 time to open the client and the same Crash Report request starts and ends the client.

I will have to Reinstall the Client and wait for a fix for the fix..

The new log in screen is impressive, but i knowticed a small missing pannel on the Bipedal bot o the left.  His upper right arm is missing the front pannel [or it's trnsparent] this makes the arm look like 2 thin plates of metal and no means to opporate the arm.  yeah small thing for sure  but it stuck out when I 1st got the new screen..  Toss that on the back burnner untill you have nothing better to do.

Last night after blowing up bloody drones for 6 hours I finally managed to ditch the starter Arkhe for a Prometheus. On my first run out of the base in my new rig I got ganked by a couple of mechs using EMPs and missles. By the time I realized that my lack of movement was not caused by some kind of terrain glitch the shrapnel was already flying.

Way to go guys, hope you had your fun, now here's some hot chocolate before you go to bed.

I don't have any problems with ganking or griefing per se, although I hope PvP will be a bit more in character than a bunch of rogue operatives cruising around yelling "Yarrr!"
If the two were playing one of the alien races it would be perfectly understandable.

What I can't understand is how PvP between human controlled robots meshes with the storyline. Aren't all humans working for the same umbrella organization? Aren't all assets controlled by a bunch of supposedly highly intelligent and highly trained agents who are jacked into VR while orbiting the Earth in a space station?
If one or more of those agents happens to go rogue (read: goes insane) and starts trashing corporate assets there would be no need to go hunting down their alter egos on Nia wasting time and resources doing so. The corp would simply jack the fragger out of the matrix and jettison his ass into space.
So basically the whole police tower setup would be totally superfluous, the perp is already in custody!

I agree the current story lline doesn't support the concept of PVP. and frankly that is what drew me to this Beta [and the possibility of Buying the game].  But since we all know that the PVPers will Cry till the Moon melts they have been incorporateing Pvp.

It will be easyer for them to rewrite the story line to fit the current motife of Humans once again slaughtering each other when the World we live on is dieing of a catistrofic energy shortage. Add to that the concept we are Invadeing someone elses world to take what we want shows no evolution of humanity. Now if they had invaded us somehow then we would be jsutified in our action.

Currently the YARR squad is a classic example of people more interested in killing others than in finding Bugs in the basic system. Perhaps they haven't told us how easy it is to smack down the Top line Enemy[NPC] bots, that they must smack the new players.  Griefing is a Curse brought into any game buy true Antisocial behavior. They always have some [lame] excuse for thier actions, and then laugh off those that complane..  At least they identified thamselves and I am sure they will conitnue in thier action even when game release comes. This puts all thier game adjustments into question [is it to server thier behaviour in the game come relase?]..  In every game I have tested ,and played those that grief the most Cry the most when a Change comes along to balance things out.

Personally I would like to see the game follow the story line AS IS.  PVP is not important. You want to Kill people like Pirates then go play EVE. If Bill from marketing kept Blowing up Sally's [in Shipping] new car every time she got one. Nothing would ship, and the Corp would belly out [No Gov bail Outs here].

A small balancing issue:

IMHO the Termis should be able to target at least 4 targets, like the other mechs. One per Industrial slot.

another thing i would like to see, is a supporter variation of the Termis or Gargoyle - all three mining bonuses replaced with accu, remote-repair and shield bonus.

I am an Industrial harvester character. All I need is 2 targeting locks at a time, and I mine 1 spot at a time. Multiple locks while mining will fill your cargo just as fast as all harvesters on 1 spot at a time. If you plan on AFK mining Multiple spots with multiple miners then you will be disappointed.

Someone that watches the amount a spot has left [ works for harvesting not mining being that the mining spot doesnt show amount that remains] can turn off the harvies that will just waist Cap and a charge when  the spot is almost out [1 unit/1charge/harvy] a small way industrialists can save a few NIC here and there.

Discourageing AFK mining is why the hauler has only 1 Industrial hardpoint.

Currently this game isn't for the AFK player.

Medium guns/miners/harvesters require 5 times more cap then their small counterparts. I want to ask why there is such a huge gab?

= The damage of medium guns is about 2 times more then of their small counterparts. For miners/harvester it is only 67% better yeld.

= Mech do have like 6 times more cap capacity But the cap recharge is truly important and that is only 2,5 times better.

= When I am NPCing which requires to stay in battle longer it is accually better to use small guns. I do 1/2 damage but I got 5 times more cap to keep my defence running.

= I didn't find any skill that reduces cap consumption on Guns.

= Isn't there an inbalace with Missle launchers using virtually no cap?

The Larger bots that have much much bigger CPUs and Reactors can handle the load of meadium mods. This is a limiting factor samller bots. Samller bots get bonuses for Smaller Mods, Lerger bots get Bonuses of larger mods. Just because you can Puch a 286ci engine into a Vega doesn't mean it will work. You want to use larger Mods then get a larger mech that can handle the increases.

As for Cappacitors ,and thier recharge rates currently we have Standard Capacitor rechargers, and Capacitor Restoring Mods. With the release of the medium Cap Boosters ,and Cap rechargers [along with Level 6+ Energy management for Cap recharge rate increase] you can fit all those medium Mods onto your Mech/hvy mech with limited restrictions.

Efficient Weapon Ussage lowers CPU and another skill reduces Reactor usage. For cap rate use Mods to regen Cap or t Refill it. Energy Management is a god send skill.

ACs and Missles use little cap and it seems to work well. Once it fires there is no more draw on tha capacitor, compared to a lazer that pumps out a beam of energy. The fact that Missles have a lower range than lazers it tends to work out well as a balanceing factor. Guess that is why All bots have at least 1 Missle slot.

Now take into consideration working in a Squad.   One industrial piloting a hauler gathers the salvage that the other combat members kill. He/she then sells/recycles the items. As a Team you will, make 2 to 5 times the amount you would make working alone.

In 1 Hr 1 hauler ,and 1 combat bot useing Small lazers farmed 7.5 mill. If the combat bot had supirior skills ,and heavyer weapons that amount more than dubbles [the hauler will make multiple trips to base. yeah Field Containers...].

Baseing your tests on Solo Work your resutlts can not compare to the results working as a team. This way all team members share equally in a MUCH larger yield.

The AI of the NPCs will be modified repeatedly over the Beta. Working in Squads is the way to go. Besides the Leadership bonuse that the Squad members get [from the squad leader with that skill] you have the ability to have 1 or more Tank and the others support fire.  Tactics plays a Big Role in a fight.

EP form deleted chars:  BYE BYE, and I think it should stay that way.

If you can Recreate any char by getting a return on Ep from Deleteing another is bad form.  People would just have 1 char ,and then recreate it as needed from industrial manufactureing to mining to combat, and back. You can't appreciate that which wasn't a task to do.

As for the NAMED items [weapons and Mods] the bonuses are a Slight reduction in CPU useasge ,and/or Reactor usage. If the proper exstensions are learned then the [named stuff] makes no sugnifficant difference.

Buying EP :  Bad idea !
Why should those with Money to piss away get an advantage over others?

What good is it to have exstensions so high that you can pilot Destroyer and use the most advanced weapons if you haven't earned enough NIC to buy even an assault bot?  The Current EP gain rate 1EP/1min is fine. You gian even when not online.

I noticed today that after I spent I relatively large chunk of change in the market on more  standard ammo that was not replienished from "dropped" loot that, perhaps, I could un-equip my newbie bot's fitted items (Arkhe) and send it or an alt's on a suicide mission at the nearby drones, intentionally get it blown up and request a new bot with a fresh, full capacity of ammunition...

And then repeat the cycle to avoid having to purchase ammunition for now, but save a significant amount of NIC, overall. Should be seen as an exploit, but perhaps this "loop-hole" is intended, as an olive branch for the n00bs? I doubt it, considering the nature of the game.

I apologize if there is already safe-guards in place to avoid this or if this has been touched on before, but I did not want to try it, nor did I see anything similar already forum posted.

To those that use exploits, I will p3wn you... perpetually.

The amount gained for all that time spent isn't that much, and probably won't make a difference in the long run. Considering that you will be upgradeing to larger ,and larger bots where that Standard AC ammo is pathetic to other ammo types.  The medium weapons do massive damage in comparisson.

I think that It's good atm. Because with robot's bonuses and modules the difference between longrange and shortrange weapon is pretty cool.

Long range fitted bot with mas reductors is surely good but it is far from 'cool'...

It is the short ranged bot that needs the speed to get in range.

Speed is important no matter what. It helps you hit faster bots, and makes slower ones miss you more. The Navigation Exstension is a must have. You can forgo some Mass Reducers if your navigattion is high. That leaves you with other nice addons.

Since small bots have Small weapons then you see the reason for haveing a few Heavy Mech in your Squad of Smalls. They can beat on the bigger bots while your smaller ones get on close and rip the bigger bot apart. Tactics play a BIG role in the outcome of a fight.

hello ..
i have 2 question .
1. way Long Range Medium laser selling only in PVP isle ?
all enather weapon can bay in guarder shop on normal isle.
not really got this laser on some situation.
its bad joke ?

2.Way Artemis have only 5 slot for weapon . 4 for guns and 1 for missiles .
all enather MEX got 6 slots . 4 for gun and 2 for missiles.
and maybe mistake in some bonus on MEX ? Artemis have  +shield bonus ??? its armor tanking mech..   turanos have +accumulator recharger bonus (turanos and some Green mech shield tanking)

1) Seems like someone made a misake. Might be posted in bug forums smile

2) Artemis got 1 head slot transfered from weapon slot so the slot layout is balanced. I do think that it might not hurt to have the last slot missile/misc though.
For the shield bonus, there are countless posts about it. Just wait for more stuff to be released, shields might get some loving.

Shields Block weapon fire OUT and IN. So you wont be fireing your weapons when the shields are Up.

Frankly I don't see why the lazer bot even needs a shield.  But as it stands the Theolodica bot [lazers] may have the longest range of most the weapons it does the least amount of damage, cost vastly more EP to advance the exstensions, and the Hit ratio is way way low compared to all other weapons.  All in all they need to upgrade the Theolodica bots to be compareable to the other bots.

Since the premiss of the game is to work in groups. Haveing folks specialized in Mining/Harvesting, and other specializeing in Combat is preferable. ALTs don't really make sence at all. You will be focuseing all your EP on 1 character at a time [or suffer slow progression doing multiples].

All characters no matter the occupation should focus on what makes thier speciality work best. Not trying to become a Jack of All Trades. JOTs will always suffer compared to Specalists. One Leader with good Bonuses to Squads is always a Plus. But the Key Word is SQUADs. Teams of players working/guarding one another from the nasty nature that is Human [Gank Squads]. No matter how good your Exstensions [skills] are if you come across multpile [player] opponents then you loose.

Well, also the title says it... i personally like the autocannons (must be some minmatar heritage smile ). I was somewhat disappointed, that none of the "real" mechs get a bonus to it. (yea... arkhe does tongue )

Now i know that the devs want the AC-s to be some sort of auxiliary weapons, but there could be some bots that get bonuses only for tanking and more general parameters, like tracking or falloff, so one could fit autocannons on them without effectively losing bonuses.

Yea, some ewar robots work like this, but i mean more of a combat mech.

Well, after all it is probably not that important.

The Auto Cannon does the greatest amount of damage of all the weapons in game.  They dont need a Bonuse.

Example: I have L6 in all the basic skills and L5 in the advanced skills yet my Medium Lazer does 1/2 the damage as the Medioum Auto Cannon that has the same exstensions. Add to that the exstensions for ACs is far less exspensive in EP than all other skills. [Lazers being the most exspencive in EP costs].

The following is a list of Exstentions ,and thier costs for a few of the weapons in game. I see some work is needed here.

Advanced Kinemetrics   Level 4 costs 762 ep
Advanced Optics           Level 3 costs 762 ep

Basic Kinemetrics         Level 6 costs 1524 ep
Basic Optics                 Level 6 costs 2286 ep

Lazers have extrordanarily High ep costs for the weapon that does the smallest amount of damage when compaired to all the other weapons.

There is a Massive difference between the Gamma settings of 0.75 and 0.94.  Take into consideration that the Scale goes from 0.01 - 10.00  it needs to be softened considerably.

The windows that open in the hanger will randomly place themseleves at diff  locations,  Sizes, even off the screen partly.  Needs  Hanger Settings  for placement of windows to be remembered.

DEV Boyce asked me to post this here.

Several Exstensions have been removed form game, and many Testers have spend Vasts amount of EP on those exstentions [ EXPL:I have Tracking at Level 7 ].  It was discuseed that there should be a return of the Spent EP for those Exstensions that are not being used anymore..

Many weeks were spent raiseing those exstensions high enough to be effective..  That is a great loss of testing time [EP wise].

I was recycling some damaged loot [mass reducer] the 1st one worked porperly the second one I click recycle and went to the 3rd  but the menu didnt close and a new menu for the 3rd item didnt open. It was then That I knowticed nothing was interactable. the game then closed and showed the Crash data Archived  message.

I believe it occured when I tried to recycle the 2nd item it may have been removed from the Hanger but the menu didnt close befor I opened the next items menu.  It could not find the item to recycle becasue it already was recycled yet the Icon in INV was still theye [ love lag]..

The fittings in your bot,  how about haveing an option added to it [change ammor ect] to include disable/activate.   This would allow the activation of another modual that was underpowered [as well as the Installation of an under powered/cpu item.].???

Activateing a modual when insufficient power/cpu would occure stops the activation. Disableing a fitting makes more bot resorces avaiable [power/cpu] so previously disbaled fitting could thenbe activated.  We have the fittings pot lack power there should be a simple ON/OFF switch  I think..

Bot has a 12.00 cargo hold. A packaged Arke has a 6.00 size. When Arke is placed inside the bigger bot's cargo hold [12.00] the Cargo Hold window shows it to be 1/2 full [6.00]. But when this is viewed from the Fittings window the cargo is Full at 12.00.  No other items can be placed into the hold..

This was repeatable..   Scan a tile pick a nice rich spot, and mine away with full [45] charges in each drill [2 drills were used durring this exsperiment] when the drill reached 28 charges my game would crash [Client?] . The program would reboot game [automatically-includeing the check for updates], and go to log in. I logged in ,and the drills were at 23 charges . Only one drill showed mining beams ,and that one drill had 3 beams going in opposing directions in Vibrant powerfull glows.

If the item is too badly damaged recycle it. You will actually make more than if you repaired it and then sold it.
