One of the Devs mentioned that they were coming up with a solution for remote viewing assets a few days ago in general chat.

Personally I didn't find the 'all assignments' tab until AFTER I ran to the wrong outpost. XD

You need to raise your standing to above 1.0 then you can do lvl 2 assignments. Look on the 'All assignments' tab in the assignments window to see which of the outposts you need to go to for the lvl 2's

Currently its possible to see how many agents are in a password protected channel maybe that info should be hidden so its not used as an intel tool.

I don't.  Pure specialists should always be better in their roles than hybrids.

I think you misunderstand my point, I'm pointing out the fact that the game has essentially 2 specs despite having 16 combinations.

Unfortunately as the game has launched and they had the whole beta time to consider their system I think the way it is now is probably how they wanted it to work and I'd be surprised if they changed it. Not that I think there is anything wrong with debating alternatives. I think that the very fact that the common consensus states to either spec full combat or full indi to the exclusion of all the other possible combinations indicates a flaw in the design.

It takes some practice to get  used to how to get good angle on the mobs and yes sometimes the line of sight calculations are still a bit screwy but if you learn the terrain and look at how you approach each spawn you can improve your chances a lot.

indi all the way seems to be the general advice.
If you do mix in a little bit of something else you wont notice much of a difference though

Might want to add this as I see it asked in /help all the time:

You need over 1.0 standing for lvl 2 assignments, Check the 'All assignments' tab in the Assignments window to see which outpost you need to go to.

Very nice work Mark!

Thanks guys. I had a lot of fun over on Hokkogaros.
I'll head over to the forum and post an app.

Ok I've got a grasp of the game systems and it doesn't look like my friends that I had hoped would sub will be joining yet so its time to find some like minded players to have fun with.

I'm a 35 year old self employed British guy with lots of time to play looking for an active team focused corp with a good cover of time zones. I tend to play in the 14:00 GMT - 05:00 GMT bracket but can be on at other times depending on work commitments.

A game like this is all about the people you play with and as such I'm looking for a mature corp with strong team play. I would prefer a corp that takes the game seriously without taking themselves too seriously and it's also important that the corp is active in PvP and isn't going to just hide on the Alpha islands.

I enjoy all aspects of the game PvP, PvE, production.. even some mining if its needed. I enjoy PvP though I'm a bit of a carebear - I don't usually gank folks without reason or smacktalk and prefer it if all involved enjoy the competition.

I'm a veteran of Eve having played from beta (Evolution pre-BOB, Spectre Systems later), WoW (sigh, hate to admit it), AoC, Warhammer, PotBS (Yarr!) plus many other MMO's and I expect extensive use of voice coms as typing just gets you killed and doesn't cut it for a PvP environment.

I have two accounts to bring to the corp, one combat focused currently with an Baphomet and one industrial focused driving a Sequer.

Post here or contact me in game. Thanks

Eve had about the same things to do at launch as Perpetuum does but it grew into a success. Unlike a large and expensive studio product this game doesn't need a massive number of subs to survive.

If the devs keep improving the game, keep their costs down and slowly gather and retain more subs it could certainly grow in a similar fashion to how Eve did.

It might be better to just adjust the lowbie assignment bots loot table and mark them as assignment targets so the farmers move on to the non newbie spawns. From my travels around the world it seems most of the spawns aren't being touched.

I never had a problem getting the kills on any of the 5 chars I've run through the tutorial chain but I've seen a LOT of people complaining about it.

I'm a carebear but I like swimming with sharks. Stop making generalisations about 'carebears' some of us also accept the risks in a PvP game and find it adds excitement. Just need to approach the game for what it is and play it to its full.

Actually Eve did do a rollback, just a few days after launch.

The EP bug that they've had to roll back to fix had nothing to do with the number of players Evizaer

I gave it a good honest rating, some 10's some some 6's. Overall a positive mark as I think this game has great potential and its been loads of fun so far.

You'll be glad to hear there is no EP loss on death smile
