+1, for maximum affordalble level button.
I often have 300-500k EP to spend (over 3m), and after introducing a grind-based progression it's no longer a big deal to train new skills even to max level.
Especially when for some reason the more skills you have the more laggy you cheet is...
Like the one in Garry's Mod.

It's uses BOINC client, doesn't affect games when running, by my experience. But some other(non-WCG) BOINC apps can eat some RAM.

How about adding some "time-based" progression to research?
Every day, add random amount of random type of research points to one character on account(to one with most EP, as example).
Can be done as one of the permium users bonuses.
Allow Steam accounts to fill email and password on site.
And non-Steam players to not lose their logins after linking to Steam.
Pros:
Use Steam or standalone client to play.
No dancing with multiple Steam accounts.
Can launch perp and other game on separate computers (Steam not allowing that for some reason. Can login in steam from multiple PCs, lauch multiple games on one PC, but not launch games on multiple PCs...)
Contact in-game is preferrable.

Filter checkboxes disables only the popups, but they still appear in log.
When there's too many notification in event log, it's takes a LOT of memory(2Gb+) and significally drops FPS. Pretty much like with a lot of loot in hangar. Which is instantly restores after clearing the log.
BUT when openning it before clearing, it's often just freezes forever or throwing some C++ error.
How many is many?
Maybe about 2000-3000.
Easiest way to replicate: launch 72+ factory jobs for ammo, send scarab to AFK mine, return after 15-24h and open log.
Sometimes a lot less time is enough, but just to guarantee...
Solution for this can be a cap for event log (500 by default, adjustable(or not)).
