Its ok... winter is coming.

Ok so we all know scanning fields can be a pain in the ***.  I would like to recommend an island scanner be implemented.  Maybe a universal tile scanner that has a huge range maybe like 10k or 20k that will pop up all the mineral fields in that area.  In order to make these not over power all the others maybe make this charge like 5M and maybe some tokens.  And if you don't wanna take out regular tile scanner tiles maybe implement something where you can't upload the heat map and have it mark on the map.  You would still have to manually scan down the fields.  We need tile charges anyway when we mine so no real big loss there.  There's already advanced tile charges how about making an advanced universal charge and making it have a huge range.  i don't think it would take much coding.  Anyone else thoughts?  would other people like to see this?

Im really curious inda, beacuse nse spend the first 2 days theory crafting and testing fits all day long.  We were testing everything: pve, pvp, indi.  How long did you test or did you go out get blown up and then you ran to the forums to cry about it?  Even Annihilator pointed out the obvious bad *** changes to indi.  Sure a t4 fit symbiont can't be cap stable with all head tuners.  But the multiplier you can get if you can balance it is so much better than perpatch.

"Just @ Game" - Badass

@Inda have you tested pve fits?  i can farm just as efficiently as i did before.  You're just not thinking outside the box.  Yes you do have to change your fit you just can't go out with your old fits.  If you're complaining about Nora and harvesting missions you're view is small.  Find something that works instead of complaining about it.  Stop waiting for other people to do the work for you... wait that's Ethoes.  i would argue and say missions are more lucrative now than they ever have been.  I just wish we could do them in squads effectively.

one thing that the patch did do was to place green bots on a level playing field with the others.  The problem is no one uses green anymore sad, well i should say missile bots anymore.

Observer are meant to be THE hardest NPCs to kill.

TBH, the only thing about them i dislike, is their extreme-range demob. With everything else can be dealt with.

My issue with observers is the loot they drop.. Why not have a random chance to drop a T3 mod that has the same stats as T4 but half the weight ? You could call it T3.5 or something..

+1 awesome idea

i would suggest more cpu and the cargo space is horrendous.

repair tanking isn't more vailid either.

armor repair always had a bad accumulator/hitpoint heal efficiency, especially with medium repair modules.
now with the penalty, they are even worse.
yes, in pvp you get hit with less DPS... but in PVE nothing has changed on that side.
just that you now need even more accumulator to repair between combat.

oh, and using any tuner below t4 seems a VERY bad idea...

Now that we no longer have as much damage against pve, i think Time to Kill rats should be addressed.  Beacuse shooting an observer with one tuning is cancer.

So... all jokes and trolling aside, what's the population like for eve?  Last i heard if you're not part of a big corp that camps gates and stuff you're just gonna get rick rolled.

Thoughts on the Hermes:  Not enough cpu to effectively run a speed nexus.  Biggest limiting factor is the cargo size.  If i had to run around and grab 1 or 2 artifacts and head back this bot would be awesome.  However, if you're looking for a long session of being out on gamma i wouldn't recommend.  I would use this bot if this were prepatch and i didn't have enough ep to max geoscanning.  Doesn't come anywhere near an artifacting sequer.

Any chance we can get a price reduction on T4+ modules? Because 7.5 Billion for a pimped out miner or harvester is ridiculous.  And now that the reduced acumulator stuff is looking pretty nice.  The market cannot sustain people to be able to buy some of this stuff.  Even if i did level 6 missions its like an hr for 100-120M.  I know a lot of T4+ should be out of reach for some people but ffs even privileged people can't afford that stuff.

I was there to help facilitate the negotiations of STC changing its name to Ethoes because Peanut was gonna rip their *** apart.

thx for yet another history lesson.  I'll read the rest tonight when i feel like falling asleep.

I liked the indi tuner change, however the weapons were never tested.  try shooting an observer with no 1 to no tuners.

Who's STC?...

Early thoughts: Lots of interesting changed THANK YOU for the gamma building changes.  Im on the fence about the "Tuning module rebalancing" idk if i love it or hate it.  early testing shows you can't have a head full of tuners without a recharge nexus and legs full of rechargers.  I love the balance of you have to sacrifice a shield and lwf vs fewer tuners and more suitability.  Testing continues.

double post idk why that happens

We have station masking... big_smile.  Like i said we dealt with it for 2 years and the devs did nothing you can deal with it.

I guess it's ok when it happens to us, but when it happens to you its the worst thing ever huh?

Wait... When everyone did it with us when we owned the station we didn't complain.  Now you wanna cry about it?  This has always been an issue we had to deal with for almost two years.  Deal with it.

You were gonna lose that Seth anyway.  It was flagged perma jammed and neuted out.  If Zoom gives you back that seth that's some BS.  If he reimburses you can i cry and get a bot back too?

ok at least someone got the joke.  ty for pointing it out.

when the new patch hits ill take the ikarus, herpes, and sequer out to do testing for you Zoom.  On paper im gonna say speed < Cargo size especially when its such a huge different 16% of 100.  Not to mention if you compare cpu and reactor from all 3 bots sequer still reigns supreme.  180u vs 100 and 120.  I like the reactor on the Hermes, however 3 headslots will be the limiting factor.  My Sequer running small shield, scanner, v-nexus, accu expander is running almost max cpu and reactor.  No way in hell the syndicate robots are gonna run anywhere near that set up.  i guess without the v nexus you don't need it.  We'll see should be fun testings the 2 against legacy.

Ill admit, most of my "I do this to take up time" has been artifacting.  But, when has artifacting ever been about group play?  IF you want me to throw in my two cents about group play fix missions.  I even had an idea about an NPC island we can siege maybe even as a server.  I may have a linear though as to what artifacting should be, but that's beacuse i started off as an artifacter.  I remember never mining, i provided all my own cortex's and minerals from recycled T3- and T0 stuff.  Im gonna try to say this so that if zoom does implement it he doesn't have to say he got the idea from me.  But what if there was a "New" artifact that required new charges that did the group thingie?  Last i timed, it took me an hr to fill up a sequer mk2 full, if we do the math 100/16 but fook that im lazy lets just round 16 to 20 giving the hermes 4 more U.  1/5 of the time i could be out in a sequer im going to have to be returning to station to drop stuff off.  I could drop them off @ field terminals but then i have to run around in a scarab to scoop everything.  Im gonna quote Garth "We fear change"... however, we don't fear new things.  Yes, there is a difference.
