Closing Rag Tags!

Unless someone wanna pick it up its gonna be gone 2015.

Theres been a bit of help thru out the time Ive run it, but Im not really sure how much help it actually have done. Seems minor to abusal at least.

Good idea, but it doesnt seem to help as much as I wanted to.

This game might not have been rock solid to begin with, but it is now. It has all the foundation it need, sure it could use more fluff, but it has what it needs. More importantly theres no important bugs around the foundation.

All we can hope for now is a future, but that last part is up to us, because they are burnt out on idiots like you (and me?), if you love this game, do something to help it out instead of complaining on an already overworked small staff company.

No and no.

1.  In an asset wealth management game it is dire that critical bugs that allow for currency to be printed at a whim destroy a game like this.  And it has.  Think of it this way: Corp A can supply all its members with bots and t4 to fight in a battle but corp b requires its members to mine/harvest/rat and artifact to participate in the battle.  Which corp you thinksgoing to spend more time pvping?

-So one way the developer can curb this is,by adding another tier of modules and adding new robots.  This forces blood thirsty pvpers back in to the industrial sector.  Providing you targets and forcing breathing room.

2.  There isno foundation until spark teleports are fixed

Maybe Im just a little bit drunk, but youre saying a young corp like mine (or NSE) dont have a chance out there? Well I beg to differ. If it is because our "evul empire" is stagnating or whatever I dunno, but despite being rookies weve shown our worth. Dont you dare talk smack about our sacrificies big_smile

Second part about spark teleports... well once again, we are still playing on the same field, right? Seriously WTF? Are you just stupid or what, do you think we guys dont know about this, of course we do. We just dont whine about it.

Is this guy even on your side?

WHO'S WITH ME.

I love the tears, tho I had no clue this would affect you guys in this way. If I knew I would have supported this a long time ago smile

Dont believe the corp will do a microtransaction for pay2win, so these ideas are all solid.

This and more. We cant rely on the corporation to do the job, we need to go outside our little bubble to recruit outside our comfort zone.

Our enemies thinks we are nothing to deal with, despite hammering on them constantly. I say we have the stage set for a good comeback.

Welcome back!

Is the "evul alliance" done chestthumping?

You know Im gonna miss you guys once youre done for. I wish you would be around for some more forum talk once we are done with you, but poor winners are gonna be poor losers and you wont be around for that.

Meh, shameless bump to be at the top and the spotlight for a day or two smile

I havent looked into it to much on the numbers, but the new skills doesnt seem to affect the stats to much, feels more like specialist skills. Which means it pretty easy to leave them at low levels without to much concern (for now.)

The overall changes to the lights and such I can only imagine what it will do, but having the gear isnt the same as having the experience or the EP behind it also, so I doubt it would change much out there atm.

In general Im with OP (Ville) that the game needs more content and especially more PvE content, but for the rest Im with the second poster (Syndic.) Gamma aint supposed to be some safe haven, its supposed to be earned.

I like the idea of PvEish islands where you can put up a station tho, just not Gammas. How about making 3 islands going out from the starting islands which in all effects works as alpha islands except they allow for building of outposts? Of course there needs to be limits, I can see a moneydrain being one, making it less interesting for heavy PvP corps and more interesting for those corps who have no intention of fighting on Gamma islands?

EDIT: Sorta like putting up research and production POSes in hisec in EVE? They just take money unless you use them properly for production and research.

As one of the "new blood" or the "steamlings" (kinda like that term) I think the issue for many returning vets is the fact that all us new guys aint quite ready out there yet. Youve prolly seen quite a few of us in ND putting up a brave fight togheter with allied friends and vets. Before that CONS and lately NSE been growing quite good, but the numbers speak for themselfs.

In my corp alone, despite we usually manage to get out 4-5 active PvPers, we are still about 40+ active players who dont. People who dont feel ready for PvP or simply like to spend more time in PvE generally. Gaining that EP, money and gear to actually be out there on a regular basis isnt something that is built even in half a year.

HOWEVER, its now its so important for those returning vets not to just swing by and say "nae, not active enough for what I like to do, I come back later", but rather stick around and help out those actually large amount of people to achieve and reach what said vets actually like to do. Takes time, effort and patience, but without all that help theres a high risk the gap is simply to large for many new people and they see the path ahead as something impossible and have a higher risk of quitting.

In our corp weve got tremendous help from our allied vets and even occasionally from our enemies, but theres so many more out there I fear for. Im with Stranger Danger on this, we need to fight for the game on all fronts.

We have one italian guy, but not sure that makes us an italian corp smile

Ok, Ive been in this game for 4 months now. I was here during closed beta, but never saw the daylight of the release, so it doesnt really count.

So... what about the game. Its a lackluster one in content and all, but something the devs have done allright is making sure all the basics are in and properly working. Yeah, some of you vets might have a different version of that, but imo its true. Everything that needs to be in place is there and works. Well, it works, but could use a bit of a polish.

As my business as a CEO of New Dawn I had to learn a lot about the politics around, old as new. I still cant piece it all togher, but when I joined the game I read a lot in general chat and it was easy for me to pick an enemy (Yeah, I might be a bit odd about that, but its easier to pick an enemy than friends, friends comes by itself after youve picked an enemy.) Arrogant pricks basicly. Now, that doesnt mean I dont respect my enemies, I do, but its important to keep the passion running, for PvPs sake.

However, people seems to be a bit upset about the power projection or something. I really dont get that. If it means that some side have an opportunity over another due to something ingame I would understand it more, but there is no such thing. Its a sandbox game and a low populated such. Its not that hard gaining dominance with the right mindset, organisation, economy and experience. No wonder the "evul empire" is having so much area.

Onwards to the good stuff. What I felt when I joined (and especially stepping up creating my corp), despite declaring my enemies, is a welcome to the game. Both from my later allies and also from my enemies. In what other game have you ever seen that, especially the part where your enemies helps you? Ive also seen people from different sides of the politics hand in hand help new guys settle into the game. Surely theres the toxic things on the forums, ingame and such between old grudges, but in the end none of us, me as new or you as old, steps away from trying to help the community. Best community ever if you ask me. This game deserves more and we cant do it by just sitting here talking about it on the forums, we need to stretch outwards, Facebook, Youtube and whatever means we have.

I dont mean to cause a new political debate here, theres enough of those, but rather see what we are actually doing togheter and keep doing that. You know it and I know it, this game deserves more people.

It was actually a bit to long to read, but I think I got the essence.

Im passionate about killing you in PHM and your friends in CIR and 77, but on many occasions we think about the game in general and try to help out as much as possible. One of the best communities in that sense imo. Theres that little thing in the back of all leaders and vets head, "need to help the community" smile
