When there is a spike in player numbers it's usally because somebody convinced his buddys from the corp to login to do XY.

How about otherwise, make mashine gun bots (syndicate) high risk high reward.

They deal lots of damage but have very low resistance against seismic, termal and kinetic damage.

So you still have your triangle of blue, green and yellow but having "grey" as an omnitype that kills all and is beaten by all equally.
They would still be valuable as high damage dealing bots or "assassin"-types - but would need to be used tactical because they are easyly focused down.

not really sure how to fit chemical in there though.

This will never happen, and if it would happen it would take way too long for it to get implemented. Remember the time the mission/teleport rework was announced? Took way longer than zoom said it would.

Hiding from GC is tactic00l advantage. I even remember some people joining other language channels just to spy who is online. It's funny what kind of things people do to win a funny little pvp fight that has absolutley no meaning in a dead game.

Don't care what it is, if it just finally comes. It has been said to come "in 1-2 weeks" and then _after someone asked_ it was revealed that the next content batch was delayed and nobody knows how long.

I just came back to the game and thought "hell yeah active development and community contact, picked the right time" now after 1,5 months everything is gone and I return to browse the forum of a dead game for the next X months until a2 update finally comes and then? Who knows when the beta1 update will be released if a2 already takes this long.

Well how about keeping it simple?
Beeing able to join two "Squads" one named Squad one named Army or Fleet

Squad = As it works now, with mission running.
Army/Fleet = Squad before assignment update, without mission running (players in the same army/fleet as you, but not in the same squad, are not affected by your or your squadmembers assigment-related actions).

Is there a rough timeline for the new assignments coming to Alpha2 -> Beta1 -> etc?
Don't have to be exact dates.

Just add different views, big icons, small icons, list view etc. Would be best for everybody to be able to choose.
But I guess this is rather low priority
