I wonder if it would be possible for a player to request a copy of his own data set from the official server to put it on his own server.

Do you also have problems logging in? I've tried to log in for 4 days now and it only worked once. All the other times there is a message "connecting to server..." but nothing happens.

There's also a thread about this on their forum but the Devs don't seem to react.

I don't think so if it's possible to enter negative values for bonuses. I know it's not the best solution but if it works and doesn't take much time to implement, who (except Zoom big_smile ) cares.

Can someone please explain if there is a valid reason for transport bots to be able to fit miner modules. Wouldn't it solve the AFK mining problem if you would remove that option? Or am I missing something here?

Of course Agent Ville would still be able to mine AFK with 8 Rivelers but this would require a macro or something to empty the cargo into a can which is against the EULA and could get him banned.

i am using my hauler for RR support, which wouldn'T be possible if they would remove the ability to fit INDSUTRIAL modules on an INDUSTRIAL robot.

and when gamma is back, that industrial slot is eventually used for terraforming or construction modules, and thats a very important factor.

That's a valid point. I haven't thought about RR as I don't multibox and have always played solo. Thanks for putting that out.

Can there be negative bonuses applied to certain modules? If so, they could apply a huge penalty for miner module cycle time.

With auto pilot fixed.

I'd like to see an NPC that would spawn from some sort of deployable device.

The NPC could serve multiple roles.

-Transport, after deploying the NPC would loot any available cans or container.  The npc would then transport the items to a terminal.
-Buff Bot/Miner/Harvester/Combat? - We could purchase tiers  with PC and different module setups.  Even nexus support.

These npcs would have a 30 to 45 minute  timer.  Once the timers up the npc disappear.

Killable on alpha or beta.  Flagging the aggressor and alerting the owner that its under attack.

The npcs can have different levels of tank/speed.

Any other thoughts or comments?

Interesting idea, but rather than buying it I'd like to hack one of the roaming NPCs with some kind of a hacking module to get it under my control (thinking about more PVE content here rather than more money for the DEV's).
Hacking could go wrong and you could end up with an angry red mob on your heels even on alpha1.
After some time your hacked bot could start to act strange regaining his consciousness. If you don't get rid of it quick it could go after you.

And +1 for a bigger hauler (freighter 5000u cargo). One that can only travel between main terminals would do. Maybe doable with new highway system?

But I'm afraid we won't get neither of it in the near future.

Edit: added a bit more thoughts

Zoom, what was the IP again you gave us last night to ping? I'd like to see if I have packet loss.

ping relay.perpetuum-online.com

Packets sent: 1000 lost:0 av. delay 60ms (with a videostream running while pinging)

Ping is about 64ms here in Austria (same as on the old server) but at the time of posting I have serious issues with autorun and autopilot stops just outside Hersh terminal.

OK, thanks. Now I'm looking forward to it smile

Does this mean that when I have more ore in my can than my Scarab MK2 can hold, I can't haul it?
If so, autostacking is not a good idea.
