Good luck with that one. The DEVs seem to have gone to hibernate...

Yeah, and one should keep on trying, cause even if the DEVs doesnt care to respond, we show that we care about the game. And that's something at least... neutral

you can donate with booster packs

I wanna know what Im donating for. And how much is needed for it. On Mortal Online the DEVs did and are still doing this with several things. http://www.mortalonline.com/donations/ Now they already met their goal for "Character Animation" that has now launched with "This immense update replaces all character and armor art, from the models to their skin and all-new customization options". But they take that money, and hire some1 to work on that for them. Something similar could easily be done here. For graphics for instance.
I wanna know what the DEVs could do with the money we might contribute. Right now it's silence. A booster pack here and there wont change that. Sure, if they say. "Buy 1000 booster pack and we can do this and that". Then I would buy it.

Srsly. As I remember it the DEVs used to communicate alot on the forums. But now it's quite dead. I think many, with me, wanna know what you have planned for the game. We are also many that would like to help you out to get the game into a state where you can actually start adverticing for it. Come on now. We have reached out a hand here. So at least communicate with us.

Yeah, it baffles me that they just dont try it. I would easily donate if it ment that they, themselves, could continue developing the game. The sooner they do it the better.

I just wonder whats in stall for us next now that the syndicate bots are out. What r u workin on atm?

And again, is it possible to set up a donation system, so you could outsource stuff like graphic updates that I mentioned in another post. Cause I think if you did update the graphics, you could introduce different skins etc to sell for the mechs, and take in money that way as well. But during current graphics, there's hardly any1 that would put up money for something like that. Except the most hardcore fans maybe. I know StarVault did donations successfully with their sandbox game Mortal Online. So it's doable. You have nothing to loose with at least trying it.

But of course, I'll be glad to se anything that god for game, and i have my list of improvements to dream of roll

I agree. I also think the current graphics has it's charm. But I think it's because I'm so used to it. I've talked to guys in other games bout Perp b4, and they don't wanna test it cause they think it looks awfull. I think it's sad that many pass on the game, that has such depth, due to it's graphics. So if graphics would bring peeps to test the game, and see what a great game it is, I'm all for it. Just making the water look like water would be huge for instance. tongue

I would prefer to hire someone to ADD new stuff (robots, guns) in game first, not to improve what we already have

I want more peeps to test the game, and many wont do due to the sub par graphics. Personally Im all for that as well. But to attract more peeps to the game I think better graphics is the way to go.

As long as the graphics get a overhaul so peeps might take notice and give the game a shot. And as I said, I know the games strength lies benith the graphics, but many wont give it a shot due to aged graphics. But we could prolly donate to many things to help them get the game into a state where developers are happy and maybe can advertice it etc.

I'm guessing this might have been suggested before. But is it possible to set up donation to for instance, hire someone on remoddling bots etc, and invest in a better graphic engine? I bet many of us would help out. As long as it doesnt take away time from the DEVs to keep developing the actuall game. Just donation money for them to hire some1 to work on others stuff like better graphics etc. I certain many more would test the game if it had better graphics. Thats how it works. I dont mind the graphics that much myself, but I want more peeps to find this gem of a game and give it a shot.

Btw. If you have these packs from STEAM, but dont have Perp running on STEAM, can you add the STEAM version of it to a account outside of STEAM?

Edit. Cause I got the Zero and One pack. Wanna give it to my alt. But dont have him on a STEAM account.

Edit 2. I found a way to solve it. I linked that other account to my STEAM account, then downloaded the game through STEAM, logged in, and took it from there. Now back to using client outside of STEAM.

Once the DLC's are on your account, you login (on the character you want to claim the physical items with, some are account wide) dock into a terminal, and look in the top right corner.  there will be a gift-box button in the terminal background.

EP claimed is, as you know, account wide, the items are only claim-able once on the character that claims them.  Sparks however can be claimed on each character separately.  (should supply the correct number of total sparks to give each character 1 of each type)

That was it. Many thx.

Yeah. The first thing I tried. Thought I might get a code or something to redeem it. But no code so far and as I wrote b4, it now says "redeemed" when I bought it. Before it didnt say anything.

...havent gotten the items. It says I redeemed it, but I still dont have it on my character. Does it take a while before I get it or what? And no. I havent bought them before. This was the first time.

There is something about your posts that make me want to take a fire axe to your skull.

Maybe the game has been going for years and has had people making rational and realistic suggestions. Maybe the devs have been working really hard to implement them among their own great ideas. Maybe they understand the deficiencies of their own game but unless bill gates comes along and gives them 200 coders and ten million dollars it has to be an ongoing work in progress.

The Devs in this game, HHN that they may be, listen and react more responsively than any game I've ever heard of. While I don't agree with every change the onward steady progress has been undeniable and given their small size and diet of basement toast it's remarkable that they had the will to go this long. I truly believe that we are around the dark side of the moon and on our way home, ready for entry.

I get what your saying, and I hope things will turn for the better soon. But Squint still has some points. Let's hope steam etc brings success to the game, so they get the money to bring in more coders etc.

Thank you for your thoughtful response. I have been involved in successful and failed MMOs, and a few times as more than just a player. So I have the benefit of seeing things from both perspectives, and have learned a few lessons along the way. I believe in the end we can all agree that this MMO is not stillborn, and do have a few things in place that could make it great. It also has a few negatives (dommon mistakes/problems) that can be avoided and fixed.

I think we all realize that if the Steam release does not work out, this MMO might be shut down. The success is up to the players as much as the developers. Maybe it is time to help them, maybe it is time to apply some of your real life skills and make rational and realistic suggestions. Or be negative and let this game die.

Well said. And agree 100%.

They need to upgrade their servers either way. So might just as well hit "two flies in one strike" and do it both.

I totally agree with this, and I think this is a big turn off for many new players. The EP-thingy they have at least "solved" with boosters. Standard teles takes to long to activate. Maybe lower the timer on them with 1 minute, and increase all bots speed 25% and you'll have some happy new and ol players. tongue Shouldn't take to much time to tweak those numbers in coding.

To the point... Robolovers Online. tongue

With the current way sparks work I'd lower their complexity down a notch.

Spark Teleport is the new Navigation.

If its the new Navigation, can't we just get rid of the skill entirely and just give everyone 10 slots from the get go?

Yes please. Think about dem new players as well... Having to get at least spark tele to 8 as a new player is just stupid. Then you can have the adv. spark tele as a new skill. wink
