Stop *** around with new features or even the god damn Steam modifications, Till you FIX the LAG issue with the server and client..Maybe turn off all those structure animations because no one gives a *** if they sparkle...I know it's not my computer my cpu is only at 65% utilized and my GPU around 45% but hit I have to mash the *** out of my keyboard to get my guns to fire and loots...most can decay just not enough time to loot.
SO FIX THE *** SYNC ISSUES BETWEEN THE CLIENT AND THE SERVER!!!!!!!!

~20 day buddy keys subscribed accounts can use to invite brosefs to the game, if the brosefs sub then the account who invited them gets rewarded with either 30 days to sub-time or an ICE (their choice). Only works for brand new accounts.
I'm suprised you haven't ripped this off from EVE a long time ago, it's a great way to motivate existing players to get more players.
I would say 15 days instead of 20 and the new account would need to sub up before the buddy gets the reward.
+1 reward people that bring more players to the game.

thats been kind of the way it always was, out of 10 people recruited only maybe 3 would want to pvp actively. some would pvp that normally don't like to when wanting to protect there base but thats about it. So I don't see this ratio changing much even with steam release, just the nature of peoples play style that is in question. Plus you just don't know what your going to get anyway so there is no reason to speculate.

"Main effect" does not mean "massive effect".
As I've restated numerous times in this thread, run some though experiments yourself to see where the change will impact.
In the short term, with so few players, I doubt the change will really have much of any change to STC/NEBS. Other than maybe having to mine on (2) Islands to bounce the ores back and forth, but even then it would probably just be colixum... but that's just best guess since I have no idea who, how, or where anyone is currently mining.
This is exactly the wrong reason to make a change.

in the image you supplied you circled two npc with completely different names. The mission are very specific, if it is asking for "Patrician Gallowglass" you need to kill it, because killing a "Patrician Legionary" will not meet the requirement of the mission for a "patrician Gallowglass". Also the mission states you have to reach position "b" to kill those "Patrician Gallowglass" which is indicated on your map, so for example killing this npc at position "H" will not count towards the mission because it specificly said to kill them at position "b"

I dont care about limited or unlimted fields, my point has to do with the stock-piles and the EP difference between us and new players. I am stating that the game cannot handle the population needed to offset the advantages we have over them. In order for them to even have a fighting chance.
In the event that a population rise does happen and it is not at the proper level they will have the same experiences and results as many of the corps in our past have. They will face enemy's who appear to be unbeatable and never ending assets. Being low on EP and lack of experience there ability to combat the vets will be almost not existent. It will be like running on beta 4x4 box on beta with a arkhe with no guns, except they
We had to face a group at launch that only had 2-4 months EP advantage on us with resources and knowledge. You know what that perception did for the moral of the players during that time.
Do you see what I am getting at or should I finger paint it for you guys? limited or unlimted resource, If they arn't worth gathering then it wont matter which they are.
Like STC for example.

in the begining it was easy to get the rare minerals in eve because they were all in lowsec like a .03 systems. it wasn't for almost a year before they created 0.0 system and moved the rares there.
I also wish people would stop comparing this game to eve, Eve had more funding and devs from the begining and this is a completely different game with different balancing concerns and issue

what this whole thing is about is people wanting lazy pvp, theres no reason to up end the resource system so a few people can go gank miners again.

Because you need to login more in one Wednesday in 2 month otherwise people will cry the game is dead and leave.

I look at it like this!!
Indy promotos pvp through gather resource and building mods and bots, and not the cause for pvp.
You need people out there with a reason for combat roams or missions etc..
If you do indeed do this then I will require you do it with all island include alpha.
Think of a different driver for pvp, and not use the poor indy bot ganking to be the pvp.

This has been like this since bergers was built, the whole purpose for ewar so close to a wall is to prevent from terraforming in. I have A whole section of 90 turrets like this.

I would agree in regards to trial account being denied getting on gamma.
FYI - EWAR turret already have a priority list of targets, they target EWAR, then support, then combat.
