So honestly,  has anything improved since I stopped playing a few months ago?  I'm too lazy to go back and read through all the threads from the last couple months.  Is there any hope?

Can you add sequer.nl to the links section of the website? It's an extremely helpful website for new players and old alike.

also, Zortags guide would also be a helpful link for new players.  and if possible remove some of the old links that are no longer relevant.

I don't think EWAR needs to be nerfed, I just think counter ewar needs to be buffed.  My biggest problem with EWAR is that to effectively counter ECMs you have to completely destroy your fits.  A heavy shouldnt require a full rack of eccms to not get locked out.  Instead of the nerf bat, can't we just buff eccms?  Or just an across the board increase to bots sensor strength.

I agree with gremrod, nerfing ewar will do nothing when your facing 3x your numbers.

Is this a troll thread?  I think it is a good idea.  I would just like to exclude indy tunnings from said nerf big_smile

Can't we just get more highways and better alpha Tele network and then just remove sparks all together?

Be still my fluttering heart.

So it actually work or just works better than before?

Edit: Does it prioritize highways or shortest path?

Sub folders!!  Implement the corp storage folder structure in personal hangers, pretty please!

Welcome sir!  Its good to see new corps forming outside of the established 2 major power blocks.  That is exactly what this game needs.  I wish you the best of luck!

If there is anything I can help with, questions, comments, fits, etc etc do not hesitate to PM my in game or send mail.

Safe travels, and I look forward to seeing you on the battlefield!

Edit:  http://sequer.nl/ <--- is an extremely helpful website with tools, Killboards, and much much more.  I guarantee it will be helpful.  I and most others use it on a daily basis.

Internet pixels and words. Wife beating? WTF are you talking about? You want to put the world's cultures on trial in Nia? Just keep posting...

No, you said I'm self-righteous, which would imply that i have a narrow minded approach to other cultures or beliefs.  The point that i'm making is that racism should never be allowed, even if it is acceptable in someones culture.  By calling me self-righteous, you would be implying that i am narrow minded on the topic of racism.  Hence you disagree with me.  So do you?

Thank you for proving my point with sexism.

Self-righteous presumes to be of higher moral authority. usually this type of person likes to dictate to others, making black and white determinations of what should and should not be.

Based on multiple forums post, I'm very comfortable accusing of self-righteousness. Sexism? WTF are you talking about?

Crymia River rents boats this time of year.

Zoom, you should close this pointless thread.

So, then you would disagree with me then? I'm confused?  which point makes me Self-righteous?  I would just call it being a decent human being.

in your humble opinion it is acceptable to spew racial slurs at people?  or it is acceptable to beat your wife?  those are the only two points I really made.  So you must disagree with one of them?

Perp is played world wide. Just linguistically, words don't mean the same thing, let alone phrases or idioms that are perfectly acceptable in some regions. There are also colloquailisms that are wholly accepted within some contexts.

For example, if in America I tell you to 'get your fanny moving', that's perfectly acceptable and considered a polite way of telling you to move your ***. However it's very rude in England and could probably even be a bannable offense.

There is no "LINE", at best there's a very wide grey streak.

Yes, there is a line.  Just because in certain countries it is legal to beat your wife, does that make it right or acceptable?  I know that example is taking things further than they are here, but the point still stands.  No matter if you come from a backwards *** country or not, there are things that are right and there are things that are wrong, and there are lines you just don't cross.  Racism is never right, no matter where you live.  No one should have to deal with that.

The funny thing here is that the vast majority of stuff people say in game that is considered offensive they would never say in public, because they know that it is not acceptable.  But the internet offers some people a false sense of anonymity.  So they think that they can act however they want.

I honestly don't care about the smack talk, or the name calling or whatever.  Get as vulgar as you want, and you will not offend me.  But the racism, and other stuff that some people seem to think is acceptable is not.  That needs to be moderated.

I don't care if you go with a tier system or warnings or however you do it, but it needs to be made absolutely clear that it is not wanted, accepted, or tolerated in any way shape or forum.

It has been said before by many.  DEV's  Enforce your EULA or don't but you have to be clear and consistent about it.  That is your job.

Westboro Baptist Church is accepting applications, I hear. They could use a self-righteous woman like you, Martha.

Thank you for proving my point with sexism.  Well done sir, you are a credit to your corp.

@ Zoom, I don't understand why there is any tolerance for racial, sexual, or any other type of harassment allowed on the forums or in the game. There should be no question. .. the more this is allowed to go on the worse its going to get ... I think most everyone will agree when you see people in GC or vicinity yelling about N_____ this or F__ that or suck on a _____ you ____ .. its a turn off for a LOT of players.

When these reports come to you you do NOT need to warn offenders, its in the EULA. You need to exercise your authority and start banning the offenders. I have some issues with exactly this that have not been addressed yet but you will have several tickets from me shortly for these same kind of issues.

This is a game its for entertainment its not some where anyone should feel harassed, bullied or belittled.

It needs to stop or I'm sure your going to allow deviants to drive some of the smartest people away from this game, because eventually they will stop tolerating it.

Are you calling for Zero tolerance?

Yes, I think that's exactly what it should be.  I don't care about people swearing or insulting each other, but when certain people make references to ***, pedophilia, and other heinous crimes, that should not be tolerated at all.  No warnings, No second chances.  banned, gone, period.

I have submitted tickets for this.  I don't submit tickets for swearing, or insults, but I do when people are talking about raping children, pedophilia, and extortion of other players.

To be brutally honest, I lay this rampant problem solely at the feet of the Devs.  Every time I have reported this, or submitted tickets the same response comes back.  "Thank you for reporting this" and either the players gets muted in GC, or nothing happens.  No offence Devs, but by not enforcing any of this, you have not only perpetuated it, but in my opinion are an accessory to it.  By doing nothing, you are passively endorsing it.   I have read stuff in GC that seriously could get people investigated by law enforcement agencies.  And the response is "Oh, it might be some sick joke".  That's it.  Its gotten to the point now, where I don't even report it anymore, cause nothing will happen and its a waste of my time.

Serious question to the Devs:  Honestly, wear do you draw the line?  How far does this have to go before you do something?  Is this seriously acceptable behavior to you?

And Zoom, you know exactly what I'm talking about, because you are the one who removes the post from the forums and responds to the tickets.

I understand that you are trying to keep this game alive, and banning players when the population is lower than a few hundred players is a bad for business, but dam.  It is not even like its occasional, its the same people doing it over and over again, and the posts just get removed and maybe they get banned from the forums, temporarily.  Do you seriously think that is a deterrent?

Nothing has changed there, you can still request codes and redeem them on any account you want (yes, even for credit packs).

My bad, I thought after the change you could only apply credits on the account that purchased them.  I rescind my complaint.

Also, I didn't realize you could use paypal, cause i'm apparently blind and missed the huge icon.  I'll do that from now on.  Thanks Tux.

except for, that bank of america and many other large banks, charges a "foreign transaction fee" for transactions outside your country of residence.  I'm not sure how this is handled in the EU. But back when I was paying sub fees, I would get charged around 5 bucks to make a transaction with AC.  But at least I could buy all the keys I wanted in one transaction and then redeem them on each account.  under the current system, i'm not gonna pay an extra 25$ in transaction fees to purchase stuff for multiple accounts.

I think the reason they changed it to the current system was because that is precisely what they are trying to avoid.  It was too easy to abuse the mission system the way it was before.  Basically, if they went back to the old system, it would be tokengate all over again.

Plus there is supposed to be a large expansion to the mission system/PVE system coming after steam launch.  The system we have now, is mainly the skeleton of a larger system yet to come.

Subject says it all.  Why after the last patch do I suddenly need to run perp with admin rights?  prior to the patch perp never had a problem writing to log files.  What changed?

My main concern is with diluting the value of good intel, having to contact people to see where that STC fleet was when someone died...and try to figure out stuff...rather than going to the internet and seeing exactly where it all went down.

It takes 30 secs to PM someone and find out where we are, it takes 15 mins to show on the killboard.  How is this worse?  hell, in TS you can know before the person actually dies.  Cause said person will say, "bummer, im gonna die".  Then give you exact position and fleet composition.

how does the killboard make this worse?

So how bout this, Why don't you guys abuse the hell out of it.  If your abusing it is as bad as you say then everyone will agree with you.  If nothing changes, well then we will at least know for sure.

FOR SCIENCE!!

I think its an fantastic feature that can be used by both sides equally.  Personally I think we should all be thanking Doek for his hard work in creating an asset that truly adds to the game.  So long as the feature can be used equally by all sides I don't see it as a problem.

Not to mention that 15 mins is plenty of time for the given information to become irrelevant.  It takes 15 mins for the information to show up on the killboard.  It take approximately 3-5 mins to get a flagged fleet off of an island.  That is well within the 15 min time frame for the website to update.
