I don't understand why the current mechanic is a problem. If your flagged there is already a hefty penalty with stability timers. What about the mechanic don't you like?
My guess is with current lag situation is there's a hefty tax on players with ISPs that have had lag issues. And jumping through gates can cause significant load times, ~15 to 20 seconds which equals enough time for a tanked heavy to get away.
And since the last patch killed tackling in this game, AND since dps was nerfed...
The only bots that can catch it can't dps it enough.
I think once the lags fixed this issue will go away.

I don't see a problem here. The developers have made it very clear with their mechanics that hell camping of a station or gate is fine:
1. Just look to the protection versus stability timer. We've seen people get killed before they even loaded on terrain,
2. 20% ewar strength nerf.
So the only way to take and clear out a hell camp is by getting more dudes in heavys and out blob them.

This is the worst idea ever! We need these buffer zones were players can attack and run away. Why should we ever have a game where people can freely pvp and then run away. Infact let's stop permanent death! Take people to 1 hp. Then the opposing player gets a medal! GG. The game would be so much better.

Any word when this is actually going to get fixed?
Between 8pm to 11PM EST. My login takes ~2 minutes to get past the dataserver, IF it gets past. Than once in game If I undock takes 85 Seconds(timed it last night) from undock to landing on terrain. Then when I try to move all it does is warp back and forth my ping in the bottom right goes between N/A to 56000 back to N/A.

Having trouble logging in at times as well. Having trouble with lag at times, then DC, then trouble logging back in. Takes several times before successful.
Same, I eventually just stopped trying to login.

I had a totally *** up Hanukkah dream about Ville and Zoom conspiring to steal my money by nerfing all the 3 races and introducing a 4th super-overpowered race so it was 10$-respec-or-get-rekt.

Idea:
Remove the termis bonus to armor repair.
Take the termis right click -> copy -> rename -[insert Hungarian name]
[Hungarian Name]
REMOVE mining bonuses and all things to do with mining.
ADD
Armor repair bonus AND remote armor repair + optimal range bonus to repair modules
Small resist bonus and sensor strength bonus.
High slots: Sensor amp, 2 rep tuners, eccm
Mids: 4 remote armor repair
Lows: Lwf, plate, med armor rep, universal plate OR recharger.
Increase its cap stability to run 2 remote repairs without capping out.
- We need an energy transfer tuner.
Then do a gargoyle viarant but with energy transfers.
Lows: LWF, Medium Shield, 2 rechargers
Then you'll see dedicated logi in fleets and add content.

Let's talk gargoyle and termis for a second.
We got some pretty nifty bonuses to energy transfer and armor repair amount.
Why aren't they being used in pvp?
I can only speculate here. There's really no defense to either one of the bots. In the past CPU/reactor plaqued these bots. We got a sensor bonus, which is great mitagates needing additional ECCMs. But I still have no tank on this thing.
If I shield tank either one of these bots. I have a couple options:
1 light weight frame
1 medium shield
2 rechargers
1 sensor amp
1 ECCM
Here's were its optional
1 armor repair tuning
1 masker(eats CPU)
1 shield hardener.
4 arms med remote rep/transfer.
You can armor tank but you run into energy problems because of slow recharge and during a fight your dealing with alpha strikes.
Suggest: shield absorption bonus(this would help Indys too!!!).
And some more CPU/reactor.

This is what people were trying to get at from the other thread. What is the vision for assaults? Where do we see them fitting in?
The thing with Eve is it has such specialisation. Four different types of cruiser, frigate etc. we could have that here. We wouldn't need new art, or even much effort it just takes vision. There is nothing stopping the Devs having proto standard and mk2 do different aspects using the same hull. It's that kind of change and balance that I had hoped for and why I was so bitterly disappointed by the last patch.
What would be fantastic is if that vision was expanded across the game and across the weapon tiers, it would totally transform industry, PVE PvP and really revitalise the game.
This is accurate to the degree of scary ness.
We get it no graphic artist.
What YOU, the development team, CAN DO is take the same ship give it new bonuses and rename it. The new ships can have colixum in them! BAM! New content, GG.

The problem is with your missions they are boring, there's no depth to them and everything's a fing trap. Add something, something with meaning. Connect the player to the game world.
