You could just have NPC terminals that allow their holding corp to do terraforming within the same limits as placing walls. Make it so TF is only allowed to be done at 90 and if the terminal reaches the contested level then all TF is reset.

Gives beta terminals a reason to be held and defended.

Let the butt hurt go man or youre going to end up "playing the game your way"

If this happens I will prob also just cash out my toons also. No need to play a game that is self cannibalizing as there are other f2p, b2p games that are equally worthy of my free time. hmm

Instead of trying to create new sources of revenue, just improve those that are already existing. Give us a ****ing KICKSTARTER already.

I will take all of your lvl 6 decoders @ the advertised price. Convo my alt Delusional or Leo Davinci ingame big_smile

Youre not helping after posting *** like this. Just sayin...

I didnt suggest to nerf anything. That is what the devs will do once enough people *** and we all know once nerf'd ECM will be useless. Im suggesting the devs create tools that will allow the players themselves deal with it. ECCM isnt enough.

Just sayin there are 2 skills that boost ECM not to mention bots that have boosts to it as well but there are 0 skills to help with the counter.

Can we get a passive skill that increases a bots sensor strength? That way ECM doesnt need to be nerf'd. Also a skill that would boost the effects of ECCM would be nice also.

The idea of an active ECCM would be nice but it should work like a shield and deplete the bots accum every time it counters a successful jam.

I personally think that not all gamma islands should be created equal. I think the ones that are reachable from alpha via interzone should be limited in either the number of terminals allowed on the island (2 instead of 3) or maybe a penalty to each buildings power grid. This would hopefully promote players to settle gamma islands farther away from alpha where the logistics getting there would be more difficult.

I also would like to attend. big_smile

Actually its more like he has to pacify the crybabies then babysit us mean kids. big_smile

Very nice but PLS remove exact coords on km's and it will be perfect!

big_smile Thumbs up!

Having two pools of ep would cost a player $28.XX  and $28.XX  for someone as they would have to buy 2 accounts. If the devs introduced a feature where 2 pools could be on the same acct then it should be that the ep from both pools could not be spent on the same character and the cost for the 2nd pool should be the same or  close to the same cost as above. $10 bucks is just a cheap attempt to circumvent the time is EP feature this game has and shouldn't be allowed.

Before joining this corporation consider this from the mouth of one of its members.

Trolls will always try to stir up problems, but the end result of STC Deconning the terminal is people who went on a long afk like myself losing their stuff.  But after my looong break and finding that every single CT I had, and my t4+ seth and t4+ gropho was lost due to that decon, I simply had to mention it in corp chat and within a few hours 90% of my stuff was replaced.  The same also went to the other players who took a long break and came back to find the stuff gone.

So, to end your troll, we all got our stuff back for the most part, and to be honest it was our fault to leave valuable items on Gamma in the first place if we were taking a long break. Gamma is a changing environment, and myself and others should have known better. So your troll attempt was a fail, carry on....

The original thread that contains that comment can be found here: http://forums.perpetuum-online.com/topi … e-storage/

Please take this and other information into account before getting stuck with Perps black sheep corp. There may be a better fit out there.

I'm arguing on the premise that EVE's system name is equivalent to Perpetuum's coordinates (like constellations are equivalent to islands). It's the smallest discernible piece of information required to find out about someone's habits and patterns through a 3rd-party source. Either you lock down gates or paths to teleports, but if you know someone has been somewhere or is going to be somewhere, that's the minimum amount of information you'll need.

As a though experiment, take away the game-specific scales and mechanics; it'll come down to the same thing.

C'mon Doek. You KNOW that an EVE system isnt the same as having the exact coords in perp.

I missing the point where having the exact coordinates of players deaths in Perp's API is catching us up to EVE as I didnt see in any of those sites you posted where EVE is giving that same information.

Doek wrote:

I mean, EVE's 3rd-party developers don't *** around, at all. We barely got an API, EVE's already got a read/write API (CREST).

Honestly, I'm sorry for your three Noralgis plants, but think a bit bigger than that.

Sounds like youre in the wrong game. big_smile

Ok Cassius. Im going to write slow so its easy to understand. Ok. Refute this if YOU can.

Here's a story. Ill title it "Merkle"

I'm a KB *** whose stats there move my epeen. I see that newer player *** Johnson has been killed in the at the same coords on more than one occasion at 0100 server time. I decide to gank his *** because I can. His fault right for going back again and again and being predictable. Well what if he is trying to grind missions and the only time he gets to play is when he gets off work for an hour. Before the coords on the KM it would have taken a few days of scouting and stalking him to know where and when he would be there but like Ville pointed out now I can get that kind of info outside the game and now only have alarm clock it for an easy kill.

The END. (This story is fictional and any similarities to real players isnt merely a coincidence big_smile)

Now tell me Cass in all of your wisdom. Should anyone have the ability to find out that information without having to play the game?  We both know this wont affect the vets as much as the newer players. Specific intel that can be gathered without having to play the game should not be allowed. Why do we need to have this discussion again in 6 months to a year when it is being abused. By then the damage will already be done.

I'm new to programming but I think we can still have the same hotspot features on the kill boards withOUT having to include the exact specifics on who was killed where.

Im not going to refute your points because they are all valid. big_smile The potential benefits you point out dont outweigh the potential of abuse this information brings with it.

We BOTH know the politics involved and the nature of what gets things changed in this game. Just because YOU dont have any political motivations in this discussion doesnt mean your corpmates dont either.

Ozy wrote:

Im mostly seeing lots of hyperbole and sarcasm, mostly by people wanting to get rid of this feature, it seems. Are you guys honestly worried about pattern analysis of the kills and heat-maps? Because i'm not seeing many arguments that are making other points ...

Its there. Just have to sift through the STC propaganda. Heat maps are cool but only without the info on specific kills.

Tears will begin to flow and I'll be there to rub this into their faces. big_smile

Ozy wrote:

Would you mind summarising the case for the removal of specific coordinates? I didn't actually see any compelling arguments for that while skimming through the last page.

Points have been made throughout this thread.

Annihilator wrote:

Either post something constructive or dont. Good day Anni. big_smile

Doek wrote:

I don't know why STC as an entity should? Seems like you're the one that's politically motivated. I mean, bringing up corporations and our affiliations in the feature discussion and requests forum?

You seem to have the list down though, couldn't summarize it better.

Wrong again m8. The only players pushing hard to keep this "trivial" information on the API are members of STC. Since those players are the main veterans of STC its clearly politically motivated. I dont know why youre trying to spin this. Zoom has asked for the community to decide on this one and so far there hasnt been one valid argument brought up on why this data benefits the community. Many points have been brought up on how it can be abused. Like it was requested before either add something good to this discussion or dont post. Good day.

So let me get this straight. So far I've heard:
- Its on a delay so its not that big of a deal.
- More data is better.
- EVE api has way more stuff.
- Both sides get to use it.

So far STC has not offered up one reason why the feature should be kept for the betterment of the game. All politically motivated BS.
