I had a thought: why not allow say 1 extension to be reset every month.
This way, you are still committed to your decisions, but over time you can slowly change your focus or fix any mistakes.

If they gave attribute re-spec people would abuse. Ie, they would go all combat to get their combat skills up, then change attributes to industry and get those skills up.

Zhyntil, he means if you pick the wrong attributes the cost is much higher for the skill, so it will take longer to earn the ep to get it to the same level as someone who didn't mess up their attributes.

Whenever I try to run the game I see a cmd screen flash for a second then nothing else happens. I tried re-downloading the "client" (it installed instantly because the files are already downloaded), but it didn't fix the problem.
(It was working before)
