Great group of guys! Solid. I'd recommend them for any new player wanting to play with a no-nonsense group. Low drama, and mostly concerned with having fun.

Have played through the game pre-beta well into current date.

Hahahahahah.

Here's a nice statistic for you Mr. smarty pants: what's an estimate of the ratio of pvpers wanting to blow up sand castles instead of making them?

I bet you it isn't 1:2, it's more like 10:1!!!!

Uh-oh Cobalt is that the Lifeguard I hear on the beech blowing his whistle after someone is kicking your sand castle down? It is! Run boy! Run! Run to "Feature and Discussions" now while you still can!

Looking for new people who like to grief buildings.

This new patch is gonna bring some love if you like to destroy people's sand castles.

Hahaha time for some good GSO-S!

Gonna be more fun then being a weekend warrior, or putting on your gandalf suit.

Must be able to handle sanity checks and blue on blue action.

If you have issues with that and need 20 friends to keep you warm, go get a head doctor.

You guys take yourself very serious

Why yes, yes we do... There's a distinct mental process where I am wearing my uga-booga pants and hunting mask and big rubber black light saber. I stalk upon my prey and do self-narratives, till I find it then I pounce upon it and thrust.

After so many self-narratives it gets old neutral

That's about the center to my argument. If you kill to many you starve. Guess those TOG-wings must be tasty, because that's what I'm seeing on the killboard.

We could have had some constant awesome prey to eat. FOOM, AET, more F-navy, other groups, but people pushed too hard, and because of joint factors between us pushing and the game mechanics, we have little left.

I do place the majority of it on the players, while Cobalt focused it on the developers.

Good thing is I meet lots of other players that understand this, so we as hunters aren't a small population after alll.

Mara what you say is nonsense. When engaged in a confrontation against other players, whatever the game is, you dont have to refrain from pushing the foe to its limits.

Yes Cobalt, assuming you really came from FOOM you know exactly what you're talking about. We all know FOOM had a great time in the game, and had no problems with being camped. Come on, they are still on alpha waiting to come back. You're clearly an original member. Push em to the limits, foom will come back and fill up another set of targets we could have used.

People could have waited on foom, more targets let them grow, then enjoy the fights. Didn't happen.

That only works when you have more people to fill the void.... which we dont! *shocker*

Any way the only real pro pvp is camping people into stations for hours on end... like CIR & we all know they were just pure pro pvpers

That was a pro move, man, and look what happens when you do bad stuff like that? You get punished by doing jedi flashpoints. hohohoohohoho

Yeah, well when a group constantly camps a station and continually griefs their members, they become pretty discouraged with the game dude. Seen F-navy? Remember some other corps that flew with them? What about AXE etc and others. They had tons of fun, but people just didn't want to let up and kept camping, roaming.

Guess they never got "pushed" from the game, but said screw it and left?

lol twist it one way or another, we know how much our opponent can take, and when we make the conscious choice of stepping over it we shouldn't be surprised at the empty outcome.

One of the best examples of this I remember is talking with prime in CHAOS, he said to me
"Well if we fight alsbale and kick NEX and TOG off, then some group will come back and will be better,
so how do you feel about this?" , he asked me.

"I think you're not going to get any real replacement." I replied.

And well look what happened, did we see a group that was really on the same level as CHAOS move in to alsbale?

A good influx of players would remedy the situation, providing new blood and energy into the open pvp.

good stuff khader! big_smile, glad to see you doing this.

Groups justified pushing others out in the game. They thought that they would become better through camping them in and consitently griefing them. Well, you get what you have now. Amazingly people hold to a *** idea that what they did was right in some way, but yet, look at what you have to fight now.

It's just simply stupid how groups justify their actions then wind up saying, 'well noone to fight now'

Take a gander at the killmail boards, it's a joke.

If people realized how they were disturbing the balance of the game when fighting, and taken a step back, perhaps it would have gone differently but that takes age and a bit of wisdom, neither of which I think people have.

WAR fuels the game, makes it interesting, at least war with interesting opponents! yarr

If there was some mechanic to fuel a huge influx of "alpha" dwellers and through that a continuing import of beta clans etc, that would work.

It shouldn't be a high priority, but many corps alliances in eve have their own killboard for personal and great entertainment.

Here's some fun things that have been developed on different killboards:
*Whack a molle - was a fun flash based game of whack a mole, which had sir molle's head in it on the northern coalition's killboard. Made visiting the site kind of fun. I'm sure we as a community would take advantage of this, just picture: Chase lupus's cat with your mouse cursor..
*Art - You get to see some nice alliance/corp wide art done on their killboards which gives them some great identity.
*Fail o meter - one corp site had a rating people would put for how fail a fit was, or how failed the pilot got.
*Saw various images associated with different kills posted by the corp - was a neat way to personify the success of the kill.

It's not something that would bring money I think. APB had an awesome way of personalizing your ganks and kills, but for some reason it didn't take off.

Looks like on the current killboard some people got their feelings hurt by having comments posted about them. That was pretty lame, and if we had our own way of utilizing an api we could make a fun killboard to make comments on.

We need a way to make our own boards so we can post comments. I could careless if they are against myself, others or meaningless drivel. That added something fun to the game. Another dimension that people appreciate.

An api documentation we could use would be nice.

**SPOILER ALERT**

You can still post comments

I'm up there man! I already did it! WAIT FOR IT! WAIT FOR IT!

Made an alt already in game ( in game char check )
have reg'd email ( check )

Let the posting continue!

Thank you gremrod, this is very interesting.

22

(46 replies, posted in General discussion)

Can you explain that to a common person grem, or summarize it for those that aren't in the "web data" area? I apologize, I do have good background in analysis, but my tech savy methods aren't so well.

Just explain a summary of your experiment as you would to a guy in a plane, then give me 3 bullet points. yarr

This would be good, it's hard to harvest helio/triandulus. Especially on kentagura... , would also add to the garden scheme.
