I think some people are just weird. Traveling is boring as hell.. And if you look at your bot's legs moving for too long, youll want to quit the game.

It looks absolutely stupid.

Maybe some of you are traveling with a tour guide? Gary Busey sits on the back of your bot going "Off to your left is the great cystal falls, a great place to bring a certain ladybot you fancy!".

When the honest truth is probably all of us hit NUM LOCK and adjust when we hit a silly outdoor staglagmite.

As an industrial player I strongly disagree with giving more ammo or items rewards on missions.

Just give them more money. And lot of money for outposts missions, as we need some incentive to sell our junk there, at the moment outposts markets are nearly dead and most combat players are going back to alpha island to do their shopping.

Id agree with you if most of this ammo wasnt unproducable.

Shrug. When I first played (2 weekends ago?) I had the same problem. Some jackasses farming the mobs for my assignment who locked on faster than me. I got pissed and almost quit and then realized I was being a whiny *** and moved to another mob. Problem solved.

So you gave up on that mission and that was a valid fix to players having a logical reason to farm those mission mobs, without even having said mission.

To me you being a whiney *** would have been much better then a senseless sheep.

Honestly simply being out locked by people is not the issue and l2p would apply if that was the case.

I know exactly what is being discussed and I will stick with my original response. If you have a problem beating out other people to get what you want it's not an issue of EP it's an issue of player skill/creativity.

I know you got really excited that you got to post with seemingly tough or cool m2s guys and you got all hyped up. But cut that shat out around Bizzy Beast, I dont play that bull.

Youre trying to make it sound like youre playing basketball.. 'Mad skilling up on punk az beeches, wit dat skill son.' Youre in a mech hitting R then spacebar. There is no super awesome slam dunk awesome AND ONE moves you are rofflestomping newbles with, ROFLMAO.

Oh ima get creative, ima click the MOB from the screen, not the target list.. BAMIZZLE, SCHOOLED ON KID.

This is what you sound like, it sounds so *** when I imitate it, doesnt it?

There isnt special pinky excercises youre using, its 30,000 EP and has nothing to do with skill or creativity. Its small %s that add up to an advantage thats not easily circumvented. Think of it like this, on forums I have 12% more logic then most of you. While its barely noticeable, its the main reason why I riverdance on your stupid posts.

Oh man thats a shame, AXE is so big that their newer players dont pick up on any info?

Sadly youre trying the opposite arguement of whats been the norm. 50k EP (early access) vs 20k EP (25th and on) has been almost totally agreed (obviously) to be a huge advantage early on.

What you meant to say, but got confused or flustered, was that it will even out in several years.. So whats the big deal. Ill assume you would have gone with that, had you been informed on what you were discussing.

Biz,

My brother from another mother.
My boy with which I toy. (came up with that right now, awesome, I know!)

Do you really, whole heartedly, with a sound mind, think something is going to change?

I wish I preordered, I didn't, I also wished when I tried stEVE a year ago that I had tried it 6 years ago... the thing is... I had to accept that this is how progression is done in these MMO's. It sucks, sure, but it's how it's going to be. You can either make the best of it or jump off a bridge.

To draw similarities from life... their are those children born into a family that had the smarts and the foresight to get their financial situation in order before having a child... those children in most cases lead a fairly charmed life.

Then there are those who are born to an Ethiopian crack *** --- they don't start off with the advantages of those lucky few... but in this sandbox we call life... those Ethiopian crack children still have opportunities to make something of themselves. Imagine this child, working in the diamond mines of south africa, finds a huge blood diamond, hides it in his rectum and flees the country... now he's one rich crack baby....

Stop kicking the dirt, get your *** into the diamond mines of perpetuum and make something of yourself.

AHHHHHHHHHHH the dreaded M2S swarm!!!! Haha.

Regardless of anything your post was both inspirational and motivational. Ive begun jamming things into my rectum just to check my capacity for blood diamond holding.

No nothing will change, but regardless it was a dumb move to give 30k more EP to those who already had a wealth of beta experience. I know you agree, but you cant flat out say it because all those funky toothed EU m2s guys will 'Liggy your yankey limey rubbish' or whatever. Lets just have a e-high five knowing it was bullshit, but who cares because we can always shove diamonds in our ***.

He is not to be taken lightly, mostly because he is chunky.

I hate to be the bubble buster, but even the small ones will end up having someone larger then you take them over. Honestly this thread comes off as "I want a beta island too please", but surely these same big corps would come stomp them if they had the big rewards of beta islands.

Its a big problem. I stopped grinding missions at like +.30 for the wrong color, sigh. But thats not why, it was because my friend who played a few monthes of beta, tells me you risk alot more in r2 missions yet dont get anymore rewards.

To me I would think it would go up drastically. Without any diplo boosts, I get like 22k NIC for a r1 bounty. There is minimal risk of dying in a light bot.

A r2 bounty should EASILY yeild 80k, if there now is a risk of dying. Also the 30 ammo thing has got to go. Make it like 200 or an item please.

Seems odd thats its only certain people, from a single alliance, heavily complaining about this.

But I agree partially and think you shouldnt be able to respawn right there at an outpost that is an enemys. Like everybody in the outpost is all happy to see their enemy. OH COME IN, DRINK EAT, BE MERRY.. Im going to kill your whole family soon as you undock though, but for now- hows the kids?

I dont get how an inactive 'spy' would snatch anything more then ammo and to be recycled ***.

In a game like this I would expect to play with a corp for years and never get access to important corp storage.

I heard somebody jacked a corp already and I can only assume it was from a rank 1 storage, which is usually junk meant to be taken by anyone.

As for information I always have had spies in previous guilds and I would work them to death. Good guilds give quotas for their members to hit, like ores or kernals. This way a spy would weed himself out by refusing to help a corp he is trying to harm. Works like a charm.

The problem is 50kers not only get all the same targetting skills as you, but they are in better bots then you, weeks ahead of you. Especially if youre new and dont follow the exact formula.

I just got in to a Baphomet with 2 head slots for Amps, and im in good shape now. I had to waste WAY WAY too much of my already disadvantaged EP, trying desperately to keep up with 50kers. Ive now realized its not possible and I have to just suck it up. They rewarded beta players (can you imagine playing a tedious game like this for like over a year in beta, I shudder at the thought) with an advantage that will last forever, but a dominance that will last 4-5 monthes.

Doc Iridium wrote:

The point here is that the risk vs reward calculation for higher skill pilots is skewed.  It should be more rewarding for assault mech owners to do higher teir missions and camps, but in general it's not.

This means that the risk/reward PVE calculation sends higher skill players right back to newbie mission spawns.

Risk vs reward needs to be recalculated for high end light mech / low end assault mech pilots.  There need to be a lot more 1st star and servant type spawns that have nothing to do with missions.  There should be more spawns of single assault mechs, maybe with 1 or 2 lights.

Basically one goes from newb missions to 2-assault 2-light mech spawns, most of which have some sort of ECM or energy drain.  Thats a rough fight for a low skill assault pilot or most light pilots.

Personally, when I log in today, I'll be in a Waspish, doing L1 agent missions, to raise faction.  That will put me right on top of a lot of aske pilots and light mech pilots.  As soon as possible I'll move to L2's, but it's going to take at least a few more hours.

It really shouldn't be like this.  I don't like stepping on the toes of aske pilots and other younger players while I'm still in PVEland

Youre above the standard, most of the people in this thread got caught in my troll trap, precisely like I wanted them to.

But youre hitting on the actually problem which wont fade as easily as 50ker's obnoxious advantages.

There is some really cool people in this game though, who share spawns or ask if your doing missions or leave to go fight harder stuff. I was amazed by the community thus far and most of the *** are just trolls (like myself). Even so in this day and age of MMOs you cant have a system that relys on people doing the right thing.

As is the MOBs are rather tacked on and seemingly devoid of any thought behind them.

I killed this most dangerous 50ker, as a 20ker, 4 times.

I have now assumed the role of whatever being talked about that I already forgot because it was boring.

Its because those 50kers have no incentive to leave that newbie area alone. The NIC farm is more effective there and what the hell can some 20ker do about it!

The only reply you will get to this is: Wait 3 years and this will even out, stop complaining about a pesky 3 years of unbalanced gaming. Derp. *

Its the same as eve if you want to compete then play the game if you complain about the ep variations maybe this game isnt for you. get some friends go on a roam have some fun.

I keep hearing the get friends line.. What will that accomplish? What if my friends are 20kers too?

Are we going to magically form Megatron and out EP a 50ker? MEGATRON ASSEMBLE! EP SURGINGGGGGGGGGG FIRREEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! ROFL.

And I dont think EVE offered an addition 30k EP at their launch, so it wouldnt be 'same as eve'. Also how is playing the game being competetive? Youre contradicting yourself.. Ingame play DOES not effect EP growth, so actually playing or not is exactly the same in that regard. Which nullifies your response completely.

Im shocked that even suposed 'good' PvPers like M2S answer this problem with "Just zerg your enemy.".

Stick with telling me to quit crying, because rebuttaling isnt working too well. Either way im going to play and im having fun with my friends, but it doesnt change that its pretty imbalanced.

I think the bots should fight with medevil weapons only, I mean thats how it was back in those future days.

Any good ideas on how to overcome a 50ker who man handles your favorite spawn? Moving isnt a good one, as there are tons of 50kers at many of the lower level spawns in assaults.

I think its a game flaw, these 50kers have no reason to move on to better NPCs because they make better money stealing the newer peoples areas.

Its impossible to out tag them, stacked amplifiers, alt accounts with remote amps, and 30k more EP to stack tag timer.

One option, which is right, is to just wait 4 or 5 monthes.. And this advantage will even out.

Alot of MMORPGs barely survive the 5 month mark, so I dont think its a valid option to tell 20kers to just wait 5 monthes of being at the mercy of 50kers.

Any productive ideas on how to handle this extremely problematic misbalance?

Again im mostly discussing how these 50kers have NO SOLID reason to leave early farming spots, because of the loot imbalance.

Try to ignore the trolls who say "No this wont harm anything, but man it would be so harmful if it happened".

They are just posting to post.

The DEVs have stated countless times theyre working on a solution for this, ive even been told a few weeks it will be available.

Just be patient guys, farm up some NIC and wait for our respec. Which is coming, regardless of how hard 16 year beta players cry about 'I nVr mad3 mistak3 eVr!'.
