I'd also point out in regards to random timers and not needing to take every SAP, we don't alarm clock for them anyway, I'm not that evil smile But then instead of fights we get to play time zone ping pong with the station \o/

I can imagine the fun of having the saps easier to defend. You'd just put arkhes on those as well as the teleports.
wouldn't you Dazamin?? Admit it now! ;-)

Shielded miners? T1 fits? Masked? Protection?

Or is it only viable to have fully T4 fitted rivelers out?

My point is that there are always ways to adapt. Chokepoints hinders adaptation and makes the game streamlined and easymode. IMO

''Roaming gang on the island! Safelog miners and send out the blob!''
Works all the time. Fun stuff.. :-/

It's easy..just make all water between the islands land instead. And maybe this new land could be misty/radiated with high penalties to detection. No need for advanced terrain..just make it flat like a radiated desert.
I know this sounds like a quick fix..but I'm so sick of chokepoints. :-)

I know this has been posted about before, and I know the devs might even be working on it.
But what harm does another small topic do? ;-)

One day someone will understand that no security on beta = no industry on beta = No one on beta but roamers = Some kind of :elitepvp: arena, which kills the rest of beta gameplay, and tbh I can go play Team Fortress or something for that kind of PvP.

Are you saying that we should have riskfree mining on beta? Shouldnt it be a hassle? In need of detectors? Protection? ANYTHING than just eyes on a chokepoint. *sigh*

It's all working as intended. If the big lazy alliances leave the game. We won't miss them.
The devs are clear with this patch. They don't want big stomping alliances owning beta! Intrusion 2.0 is all centered around corps spread across Nia. THIS is the game I want to play.

I even think that there should be a high penalty for one corp owning more stability than for example 140. So a bigger corp can't just stomp a smaller one out of their outpost.
In my eyes these are exciting changes. We'll see in the coming weeks how it plays out.

Welcome! Hope you'll keep enjoying your stay.
When you've exploded and want to do the same to others...head on over to the recruitment channel and we'll find you a suitable corp. :-)

Finally a refreshing thread amongst all miserable whining!
I'M WITH YOU GUYS! ;-) <3

Did FC call primary on Kanogi? Lucky there were 23 demobs, 15 suppressors and 40 ecms on him. wink

Oh, I misunderstood, thought you were implying that there would have been a fight if the new system was in place.

Yeah I agree that massive battles may be less common after i2.0.  Maybe there will be more battles where the sides have similar numbers though.

However, I am somewhat pessimistic about the new intrusion system's ability to encourage any more pvp.

Hopefully the stability of an outpost is important enough to encourage outpostholders to defend their saps. And if the saps are attackable at random times without much warning this might be interesting indeed.
Imagine a small corp disturbing a bigger alliances saps because they can't field enough defenders to blob them with short notice...

Speculating is fun. smile

For those who think its more animal like, and not enough "robot" like: care to studie a bit about zoomorphism, youll get all the answers you need there. The locomotion part of the robots are zoomorphs (except the wheels but this case is simple):  spider like legs, lezard like legs, biped like legs.  The true good animation for those is what they came up with = zoomorphist animations. Its 100% logical and they couldnt do otherwise, to maintain the physical and energetic consumption realism.

I very much agree. But I do hope they make the cameleon move more like a spider than a deer. wink

62nd is a great crew! Was always fun to pvp with you guys. yarr
Now start getting some more people into the EU TZ goddamit!! tongue

big_smile ehmm I kind of imagined a shield in that fit somewhere..  Nevermind...move on. *facepalm*

@Sundial
Since you have the pelistal experience...what's your thought about the fit below..

Cheap (EP and NIC) Trojar mk1 tackle fit:

- S-demob
- L-demob
- Energy injector
- LWF

I'd like to try and see how hard it is to kill. smile

Am I the only one in general chat that saw Dev Gargaj mention october 28th as the date of the spark/skill-patch? hmm

I'd suggest you look into War Dec. Great crew of players there.

Good luck and hope you'll enjoy the game! smile

yikes My recruitment post? If you want to know a little about me I guess that's a place to start. But I doubt you'd care.

Perhaps this thread on USTZ players and Pvp corps is what Egil meant to link. I think that would be a tad more helpful if you are in fact USTZ and looking for pew.

Yep....you're absolutely right. Not enough EP in "proper linkage" yet. tongue

Small is better! wink Contact me if you're interested in a corp where you'll make a difference. Instead of being swallowed up by the masses.

I'm a bit worried about Arc X. I hear his computer is around 10 years old. lol

edit: oh ***, I just remembered I'm on a laptop. Need to check my hardware. yikes

In the new intrusion system maybe npc's could actively attack saps that make the outpost slowly loose stability? That way corps have to go outside in combat-fitted bots and defend saps. This would probably incite roaming parties as they know that players can be outside defending their saps.

Attacks should be random and not deplete stability too fast of course...but still as much that there's incentive to get out there and fight the attackers.

It would be nice to have another marker range circle.
With this you can for example set a range where you'd be seen and a range where you'd see other bots.

I think it's a good idea. If we assume that no cash shop will be involved I'm all for corp paint schemes.
I wonder if Hydra will be exclusively in pink bots...or just Ville. wink

How about a blocking function? Just type in the names of the players which posts you rather don't read.
