Devs, please close this thread. STC has closed it's doors and reformed. It seems appropriate that Ethos would begin a new recruitment thread and this one should end. Many thanks.

2) Move epi back to Gamma

honestly i have to go -1 with this. as it stands, that and partly SAP loot are the only good reasons for owning a beta as it stands especially after the assignments revamp/nerf and the research revamp, if epriton was to be moved back to gamma and become no longer beta exclusive once more, then well... beta would be even more worthless worthless and there would be even more reason NOT to own a beta outpost.

Im sure there will be some other way to balance out gamma other then make beta 100% worthless. But re-adding epriton to gamma clearly is not the way.

like.... doing something that will make colixium slightly more while to where it will make gamma better but not to where everyone wants to spend their life on gamma. I'm sure one of us will come up with the golden idea lol, but until then....

Strange that I agree with Beast on this. The entire argument about moving Epriton back to Beta was to increase PvP and give Betas value outside of SAP loot. Moving it back to Gamma now seems counter-productive to this. Whatever happened to the idea of having higher tier modules like T5 and T6? Make Collixum based commodities an essential part to build those and now you have a reason to want to mine on Gamma. Of course we need those pesky New Tech kernels so we can research those modules (not to mention the implementation of those new modules in the game), but I am sure that is just a patch or five away... roll

TL/DR: -1 to moving Epriton back to Gamma.

Honestly, screw terraformingreimbursements and lets get this thing wiped tomorrow!

Yep. Get rid of terraforming, screw tf reimbursement for everyone, and lets do this. Bring back tfing when its ready and change the gamma structure mechancs when those are ready. People can still build small gamma outposts under current mechanics if they want, knowing whats coming.

Burial, I hear you about the lack of internal teleports and the lack of highways. So, I really like this idea but I think with those percentages for a boost increase it is a bit OP. Let me give an example of a typical detector build using a castel, so the base speed is roughly 102 kph. That means the new speed would be:

T1 Aura: 204 kph
T2 Aura: 255 kph
T3 Aura: 306 kph

That's pretty bloody fast, and then add on a T4 Velocity Nexus module... and we just have the potential for some fun, cool, but potentially OP stuff happening here. I can only imagine what a Cam Mk2 would be going at with a prototype T4 Velocity nexus as well. Hmmm, let's take a triple plated Mesmer Mk2 as another example. I'd have to double check, but I am pretty sure my speed is roughly 44-45 kph. To be conservative I am going to use 44kph, so now using the same boosts for a T3 Aura and suddenly I have a Mesmer Mk2 that can run at 132 kph. I am just not sure I like the idea that a heavy mech could run down a light bot who is not getting the aura effects. Again, I am not bothering to calculate what the addition of a T4 Velocity Nexus module would be should the aura and the nexus module stack in their effects.

Might I suggest some more humble numbers of 50% / 75% / 100% respectively? Using the above example of the triple plated Mesmer my new speed with a T3 Aura that has a 100% increase bonus to speed would be 88. I'd be pretty happy with that. Still huge boosts to speed (and some people may still end up saying this is OP), without going into Ludicrous Speed. lol

I was thinking of something similar to this and was about to post it when I saw your thread. I don't mean to or wish to thread jack this but just to throw an alternative idea out there: point to point mobile teleporters. They should be limited to single-zones. Same mechanics as other mobile teleporters except you would have a "receiving teleporter", and in many respects has the same goal, to open possibilities and give the option of minimizing the endless walking around.

In terms of the OBT, that could be an opportunity for a new bot class. Not sure how I feel about turning off the Beta island internal teleports though.

Eitherway, +1 to making travelling more dynamic and less of a painful chore.
