5. Horror

I wonder if we ultimately went for the wrong niche.

Now, I'm not saying Perpetuum needs zombies, but...

I'm not saying it's aliens...

But aliens.

Make sure to block the robot pictures with adblock. Then the site could be anything!

Sandboxes are allowed to have some themepark stuff in them too!

Like assignments, for example.

I like this idea, similar to Rift's zone invasions. +1

I would think kernels will prevent t4 from bottoming out anytime soon.

My recollection is that they are similar prices to what they have always been.

So you're threatening to go back to eve if you don't get a reset?

I like this idea a lot.

I like #2 a lot.

His sourcecode is found on the about page on perp-kill.

direct link to download of sourcecode:

This sounds neat, however it also goes against the entire purpose of this game.

If you want battlegrounds, instant action and no loss, then you are looking for a theme park game.

If you are looking for meaningful fights where dying actually means something and winning is so much better for that, then you are looking for a full loot game like Perpetuum.

Me andSundial called the ads thing. Like a month ago.

I left because I can't dedicate the time currently. And currently not getting time to log into the game.

Why would the devs care about some third party killboard when they essentially have their own?

Bad ddos man needs to stop sad

That's not bad compared to the corp I was in when I played eve. We had a 99% dropout rate out of thousands of new players.

I've lost and have petitioned two cans already due to ddos. I don't even play much, I can't imagine how many cans people who play a lot more have lost.

Therefore I suggest a temporary hotfix.

Increase can life to 30min or 1hr for the duration of the ddos attacks.

This will give us more of a chance to get back to our cans after the server restarts itself like it just did a few minutes ago.

Also possibly related:

[10:46:37] <Goffer> I heard SWTOR has also network problems seems to be related to the change of infrastruzcture at the telecom carrieres

This wouldn't remotely fix it. It never did in eve.

They will be introduced soon, even for decorational plants too.

Oh god imagine the pictures we can make with decorational plants!

Giant dongue pictures anyone?

I really like this idea.

Another Idea:

Crazy I know:

Pull probes out of the game...

And...Drum Roll please....introduce a "Island chat"...if you really wana kill small scale PVP that will do it for sure, no questions asked.

The real deal is we need a way to either see if your detected, once the tower sees you, you can see the tower, or a CHANCE to get on the island undetected.

One of the devs had this idea where you could see the tower before it could see you.

Imagine, splinter cell robots!

Except the towers are wallhackers and can see through solid objects. Hackers.

So they both track players, the probes cost more, the probes are more effective and they both kill the surprise factor in pvp and any viability of solo pvp.

Did I get that right?

Arke scouts vs proximity probes?

They're essentially the same.

Limiting their number like that changes exactly nothing.

Changes a huge amount. Right now you can set up sensors on every single teleport in addition to covering every island.

With these changes you can only feasibly cover your island and maybe a teleport or two incoming.
