Been here for a while, seen content removed.
alpha needs more to keep people interested, people have come stayed 30 days then left bored.
The devs needed to retain new players, and instead we got walls and plants.
I haven't been bothered to log on much this month. I used to play 24/7, just can't be bothered.
Having more fun playing company of heroes ATM.
Hope it works out for you guys, but don't think it will last
Which makes me sad.  Had high hopes for this game.

Cya guys.
Nothing interesting for me to do in game anymore.  Alpha is screwed, market is fubar missions are boring, and beta as no interest for me.
Hope the game continues for you guys.
Will look in sometimes

Off topic again with research...

Researching needs to stay with individual accounts, its a profession and it makes that account valuable and useful, but it has a lot of disadvantages too for corps.

What I would purpose, is a system where research characters can produce virtual prototypes, that use no material but cost NIC. This capability is only available for corporations and is an either/or with actual production.

Meaning, a prototype character uses one of their PT lines and designates it as a VPT (Virtual PT) and pays the production cost, but no materials are required. When the VPT finishes, it is 'stored' in the Corp VPT list. Access to Corp VPT can be set like any other corp function. The 'cap' on the number of duplicate VPT's is by CEO extension up to 20; so you can have (20) T4PV Miner modules for instance.

If the actual PT player leaves the corp, the corp can still produce PT's using the PTV's until they are exhausted. Any player with access can run a PTV on a PT line, but it will now require materials and NIC, but the output will be an actual TxP.

In this way, PT'ers will have a bigger role in the game, and it will give pt'ers with lower research something to do to fill the t2.3 slots. But more importantly, corps will have time to farm kernels, and still produce T4 for awhile, but not indefinitely (which is the reason why corps can't have research).

Tl-DR; Create a way for corps to temporarily continue tiered production even if they lose 1 or more prototyping players.

Or corps can just stock pile prototypes as now.

Processor: 3.2 GHz Intel something or other (dual core)
RAM: 3.5 GB (doesnt register all 4 for some reason)
Windows 7 Ultimate
GeForce 9800 GTX 512MB

I run two clients.
Small screen 1440 x 900 with everything on low
Larger screen 1920 x 1080 with effects and shadows at medium and the highest draw distance (gotta spot them trees)(actually can we just get plants on the radar pls?)

Its playable but not great.  I suppose i should turn off the shadows on the large screen but it just looks so odd tongue
I sometimes get moments when everything on the client screen freezes and if I was steering by holding down a mouse button any mouse movement at the begining of the freeze will be instantly applied 1-2sec later once the freeze stops even if I let go of the mouse during that time (just a little annoying).  This often coincides with a detector cycle.

Fraps says i get 20 fps on the main screen at best (40-50 on the small).  In a medium sized fight I am happy to have 8 fps.

I wold quite like to know where the main bottle neck may be as far as fps goes (video ram?).

If your running 32bit version it won't register all your ram

me too sad

I don't know who it is, But he/she is a persistant little twat

+1
Make mk2 bots available thru tokens, as well and sparks aswell.
Works well as mid range pve content.
As Baal said "we need content to do solo too, this aint much, but its something"

How much of the server increase is down to this trial account abuse. ?

Isn't there enough alts in game as it is.

Wouldn't that double the cost of running the game.  test server would need to be mirror of perpetuum world.
That's twice as much server size, with only the same income from subs.

btw, login for me atm is so slow, i think the server is already overloaded from sending the position of every online player to most beta corp members out there...

IT booted me and been trying to log back in for 6 minutes

allow you to import your own face

The grav site idea in eve was good.
Could you mine all the best materials before someone else scanned it as well.  smile

Take into account that recycling is also used to convert the special ores, while it may not be as good now, it still better to use the best extension level you can.

Why bring in the special ores then nerf the skill required to use them. sad
Why have to items either same skill needed.
Devs are going in circles, doesn't make sense.

bring epriton to alpha

NPC AI is interesting change of events.  The 1k M SAP atm is fine imo.  need more Titan on Beta.

Learn to recycle more

The farther into the game you get the less of a problem this is, but not everyone aspires to live on beta.
For the new player, plasma and recycling make up a large proportion of your income.
Your starving the beginning of the game, to fatten up beta.

upgrading beta, will not get more people into beta.
Getting more people to play perpetuum will.

Played long enough in the other game to know logistics is a Pain in the ***.
Also know that some players, will consider whining on forums to get things brought into game that benefits their alliance/corp, as part of the game.
But if buffing your game means nerfing everyone else.
Time for you to try another game, one with cheat codes to make it easy for you

Good point, we best get everything balanced out so that all yields equal out the same. Better nerf that refining.

It's not about nerfing. It is about pointing out the possible side effects to the complaining and hissy fits (from multiple people)being acted on. Actions often have unintended consequences. People often turn a blind eye away from areas that they reap massive rewards from.

Here is the reality of this MINOR change as stated by Atticus:

"If 8 or 9% of your recycling ability is a game breaker for a producer/manufacturer, you're either in the losing wrong profession or wrong game."

If you need a lvl 4 outpost and constant buffs, to be able to survive on beta. You're on the wrong islands.

recycle level 8 = 29% material ratio.
So for a new player recycling is a waste of time, something else not worth doing.

Stop all recruiting, And  screw alpha.  Lets just concentrate on beta, we can survive with the players we've got. mad

It's only funny, because it's true. lol

And why not, makes good sense.

The epeen gained would be a draw as well.
Hell people like watching wrestling, why not robot fighting.
If people will go to great lengths to be on a killboard,
why not a league table.
