I have same issue, when I asked in chat it seemed it was more than just me.

I bug reported it, but not heard back yet.

We're not talking wow'ifying (god no) or anything like other games themepark stuff.  What I was talking about was get the players involved with game world, the community can only do so much until you trigger the interest of more.

We ARE invading the natives planet, why shouldn't or wouldn't they counter attack?
That is not themeparking the game, it is making the world more alive and real.

As title says, I would like a tab called favourites where you can add items to by adding them to favourite.

Given the last dev blog, maybe it is harder than it sounds/seems, but at least the request will be here as I didn't see anyone else suggest it tongue

IMO dynamic events like guild wars 2 uses would fit WAY better with this game (when done right) as that still keeps the sandbox but at the same time adds more to the game.

My Perpetuum folder consists of 110 files (104 of those being logs) so your downloading archive(s) not individual files (I assume). Everything seems to be stored in perpetuum.gbf (1.5gb).

Given it works fine for everyone else I'd guess finding a solution is not a 30 sec thing, have some patience.

huh? there are still ~60 baphos on alpha2 market - what are you talking about?

Isn't Tellesis and Shinjalar beta islands?

6 new ones on alpha though, so thanks whoever added those smile

No, they're Alpha-2 islands, meaning tougher alpha zones. No PvP so there's no real danger for the purpose of collecting a bot.

Ah I see, learn something new everyday smile

Anyone wanna put 1-2 more up? (Not going to beta as afaik their all pvp, and non fitted mech is hardly gonna survive that.. and I'm well, fairly broke now tongue)

Played eve for more or less 7 years now, so yes I know, but in eve one guy effected the market is another question.. possible yes, but deffo not that easy to manage smile

I hope I can manage to actually affect both the market and the pvp, it would be a fantastic thing to use for when I do my masters wink

I always play the longterm game, don't expect to see me everywhere in a few days tongue

I am sadly not too familiar with the history of this game yet, however I read and remember everything I ever come across, if you want to throw some links/summaries my way, I'd be very grateful smile

Unfortunately this game will not be able to provide you with a great deal of information for your research except at how a poorly seeded market can hamper a game severely.  You will have zero effect on PvP; that is almost entirely internalized.  Very few PvP folks would expect to be competitive with what little they can find on the open market.

As stated before; limited visibility of items due to corp limited listings, throttle market growth.

Sure, there's in-corp sales in Eve, but the market itself is transparent; there is no way to limit sales to corp members only.  So in-corp stuff has considerably less effect on the overall market, even when the game first launched.

My research will extend significantly more than just that and is not limited to only Perpetuum, it encompasses more or less all gameplay aspects AND the community, other games including is eve, world of tanks and everquest with the focus being perpetuum and eve (though with eve I already have so much I can spend most time on Perpetuum).

Considering I HAVE changed the way pvp was done in eve on 2 1/2 occasions (1: LSE t1 cruisers, you may remember that getting some popularity at one point, useful even today. 2: You may/or not have heard of Angils coalition (a coalition composed of a few small/mid sized corps), WE were the inventors of the drake gangs that months later rose into insane popularity, the 0.0 alliances got it from us, at least 4 of them took ''holiday'' in our 'home' systems and we quite litarally kicked their *** with far less guys and far less isk. 2.5 : we changed the Metropolis (middle section mostly) region from a no mans land with occasional blobs and camps into a an eventual heaven for anyone who wanted to live in low-sec. Towards the end we had grown it to almost 1.5k members. Best of all, it was a perfect working democratic coalition where the members where getting all the riches. Sadly due to RL issues for some of the leaders and burn outs for others, we split apart and it is once again a void there. Point is, we changed something, we did something that no ones really done before, heck we even held of 0.0 alliances (the only time we had help were when they used supercaps or cap fleets, PL was nearby and very happy to get cap fights tongue))

Economically... you have no idea how much you can affect in eve with enough funds ^^

If it can be pulled off in eve, which i believe would be the harder one to do it in, what can possibly stop me from doing so here except time and myself?

All you gotta do, is get people engaged (sometimes easier said than done), the effect then comes by itself and that's the part that's often unpredictable, and perfect research material smile (though the way to get there is also).

Due to internal markets compared to eve, affecting the economy almost has to tie in with a pvp effort, which makes it more complex than eve (at least with so few players, many being in self sufficent corps), which means changing both is a possibility if pulled off, as you have to effect both, which means everyone else has to adapt/change. The question is, how much will it affect it?

I'm what you could consider an extreme long term tactician, *everything* no matter how insignificant leaves a mark, if it remains....

ps. did read the dev blogs, searched around a bit for the names mentioned etc, good reads smile  (though I sure hope one can affect a game significantly without cheating).

ps2. Why there no market specific forum (for discussion, not sell/buying)?

You could use Post processing to spice environments up a bit and make them feel a little different.

I actually did quit for a month or two (the 15 day come back is why I'm here again, and well university started), however a big reason I didn't just keep subbed and gain EP was i was every day more or less emptying the market of basic stuff, like ammo, lasers etc, even bots to some extent, the game just became annoying because I couldn't get what I needed.
With the extensions now not favouring one build over another I came back hoping to maybe help the game out by supplying the market and thus help myself as well... not that easy...
1: no one's selling resources... (meaning other than the most common ones)
2: some of what are sold is significantly overpriced
3: lack of skills
4: lack of kernels (and someones constantly outbidding me)
5: kernels are expensive
6: lack of funds
7: I don't mine

aka. I think I need a few months tongue

I really do think the market can drive away players.   (the only reason I haven't emptied ammo market more than once yet is because of lack of play time... But at last most t1 mods seem much better stocked now, though can't say I see many bots for sale).

Considering how little 2GB of memory is today, any plans to make it 64 bit at some point so it can use more memory?
(I have no idea if it will actually accomplish anything, and I'd love to read a good explanation smile)

On that note, I have strangely never crashed in this game yet considering all the reports. I mostly dock/undock though, don't teleport that much.

I'm in the UK (stafford to be ecact), stable ping at 40, however in a several hour long playsession I will get random massive ping spikes (3000 to 7000) (packet loss?) where nothing in the game happens, then suddenly the game 'jumps' back to where it should be as if nothing happened.  no disconnects.
This has usually happened when looting while shooting, though this may just have been a coincidence. (update: seems it was coincidence).
I'm on a 50MB fiber connection (50 down, 5-10 up). Virgin media being the provider.

My brother in Norway has the same issue, though Norway ISP's suck and he only has 1/1 MB (and gets less than what is paid for). Agder bredband is the provider.

Do you wish for me to collect any data? It only happens every few hours...

While some of the points are valid alot are just asking for perpetuum to be made into Eve mark 2.

As an Eve refugee I want to say that we should be adapting to a new game with a different interface rather than asking for it to be made into what we just left.  Show a little respect and adapt not ask for things to be changed.

Like I said some points are good but for the main part were just being rude. Alot of the existing player base that I have spoken too are starting to get annoyed with the way we are behaving.

ahhh, wasn't aware of that ^^

That deffo works too! Thanks big_smile

I have no clue what graphic card it is you have, sounds like ATI of which I have no clue what equiv nvidia would be, however rest of the system is deffo more than fine.

I've heard some people need to right click -> properties -> run as administrator helps solve some things, though I do not recall what it solves. Might be worth a try.

TERRAFORMING!!!!!!???????

I am so bringing EVERYONE I know into this game!! big_smile:D:D

Improvement request:  Control + click for targeting/make primary.
Tutorial request: A manufacturing/research/industry stuff tutorial.

Agree on the market.

The rest for me hasn't really been any issue.
