I saw those robots have Velo:
combat mechs
ewar mechs
combat assaults
combat lights
ewar lights
indy bots of all kind
all of them were effective enough, and it's not like "hey let's put a gun on miner bot for teh lulz".
Nexus modules should be either restricted to certain bots/bot types, or rebalanced and have special kind of bots have bonuses for them. Velo nexuses are currently just most popular because speed is the key, but that doesn't mean other nexuses are fine too.

Specialized bot for nexus modules might be a good idea.
Something like command ships in eve. Bonuses to nexus, low damage, and very good tanking capabilities.
Or well-masked instead of tanked.

Limit of ECM applied on a single target was discussed many times already, but since that, other side was rolling mostly on ewars, nothing changed. It's some kind of lobby, or they just holding Zoom's family as hostages, or whatever.

It's all maths and fine but thing is that your sensors strength is limited while amount of jams you get is not. Doesn't really matter how low the chances are, it's just a matter of amount of tries. But then it's 1 vs group balance so if you can't handle ECM alone, bring some friends.

You are correct in a sense, looking from a balance side its not. Its way out in left field, the resists are messed up and makes no logical sense to kill or deal with. From a outside view point its a "special" faction, I would rather see them be a normal faction.
Zoom has already stated he wanted a quirky weird store faction, I just disagree with this line of operation, as I look farther down the road to see the possibilities.
IMO, balance it's like "let's fine-tune some parameters" rather than "let's throw them out". Zoom stated that Sindybots would come in small portions exactly because of possible rebalancing.
Main concept of Sindybots looks very promising woth al lthe current bonuses, it's just need some love.

But it's already it's own faction, isn't it?
Just think of it not like it's slow detector, but like it's very specific whatever our current lights are. I mean, if you want armor tank - you go Prometheus. If you want shield tank - you go Castel. And if you want (let's call it for a moment) a hit evasibe tank - you go Vektor.
Besides of guns and tank each race has it's own racial bonuces. Greens lock faster and has no problemz with accu. Blues are fast and rep better. Sindybots are slow but masked and can see longer to compensate that, and you can put better stuff on them in terms of cpu/reactor usage, and so on. That's their own racial specific, along with hitsize. It's just not well-balanced yet.

Basically this, this is how it should be been from the get go. It has everything to do with the Vektor as its a PVP bot in the *** game bud.

Jita's Demob idea is excellent if flushed out correctly, Sadly Annihilator is just stating the obvious again with no real solutions, drive on!
I'll just show you:
Combat | Detector
Castel | ???
Yagel | ???
Prometheus | ???
Vektor | ???
Now you see? Vektor is not a detector bot for other 3 factions, it's in the same row. So for Vektor have everything to do with, it should have IT'S OWN detector twin, not being someone's else.

Could just pull an EvE and give the bots a bounty. However, they would likely not pay the same as plasma would. Too much of a discrepancy in comparison to Alpha and Gamma prices for plasma.

First words of every newbie in this game who ever played in Eve is "oh look it's 99% like EvE!"
That's the most reason of all those "let's just go another way" things like plasma or shields or whatever.

There were some other changes pronounced, from the other side - like, reworking med guns dispersion or sorta. So currently Sindyssaults are a half of the pie just to taste it.

Everything should be changed in a way where small bots deal close to no damage to big ones, and big ones miss close to every shot on small ones, like in THAT OTHER GAME. Someone wil lsay: but hey, I want to wtfpwn HMechs with by Bapho... and they could fit med guns on them. And those who want to roflstomp whatever lights are around - welcome to the small guns on big bots. Furthermore, big bots chassis slots can be changed in a way where you have like 2 of 4/6 slots suitable for small stuff.

What I want is a light bot, that does DPS on par with the other lights (and Assaults with Assaults) that doesn't have the stupid specialization. I want that moved to a different bot for a bot truly spec'ed for Detection.
This breaks up the difficult balancing aspects of the game, moving them into subcategory's and balancing them out from their.A detector should have neither a tank, or great masking, fast speed would be fine, but not the fastest.
IMO, that's more about separating such lights on 2 - one is for detection, one is for combat. Like, Castel is for DPS, and Shmastel for detecting. They can look the same, just have different stats and slots.
But that's still has nothing to do with Vektor speed nor Vektor itself.

Yes, yes, options, and that's why you ask to change Vektor in a way the other lights go. You just want more options fir sure. Not like you want new fast scout/tackler with reduced hitsize instead of castel, we all understand.

What I would like to see is a racial bonus which reduced ROF by 75% and increased damage by 400%. This would make them glass cannons, give them a use in a pack and make shield fits viable.
What's the point in machine guns then? Why don't you just install EM guns instead?
Point of the MG is fastest cycle, that makes them incompatible with shield fits. Implementing the changes you propose will just turn MGs into differently looking EM guns. Why would we need that?
