Yes it is (queue Ville talking *** about the 14" Compaq CRT on my Linux server in the corner). The only thing I use bluetooth for is a speaker I put in the bathroom for when I'm in the shower. The game's CPU and memory requirements have actually gone up somewhat.

I have an i7-3770k with 16 GB of ram and I routinely cap the ram and CPU out with multiple clients open (and another monitor with a browser with about 2 dozen tabs open... and sometimes a movie playing and.. and .... ). I've found CPU/ram to be much more limiting factors as of late which wasn't the case at all when I left last time (there weren't any, I ran the same # of clients far more efficiently on the same hardware). GPU doesn't seem to be an issue unless I'm running virtual machines too.

What's interesting is how much variation there is. When I first load in to the game CPU/ram use are very low even with many clients, but start opening maps and auto-piloting across islands and it gets ugly fast then use will randomly fall way off and go back to how it was for awhile and then spike again etc. There also didn't use to be a "you've been connected 24 hours GTFO or we'll disconnect you forcefully" notice.

You'll have to give specific examples which involve things that your corp can do that no one else already can/does do to try to poach people - especially people getting disenfranchised with the game and development pace themselves.

Mostly agree. They do tend to get bogged in minutiae, development is and has always been exceedingly slow, but I've seen worse. Having recently read the Blog post from July last year, their roadmap is to make the game even less accessible by making huge red NPC caravans roam everywhere except Alpha 1 right? I also saw the poll where Loot tables were #1 priority by vote.

I've been at mine several times and yet here I am again. PvP is the reason. I've watched huge windfalls of players come and go several times. There is a slow trickle of new players from Steam these days. I don't there will be any more mass influxes, and frankly, the game is even less capable of handling them now then they were several years ago thanks to some of the more recent design decisions.

Host a tournament. Play flagged hide and seek. Put a bounty on your head. Challenge people to duels. Do open-to-all NPC farming give loot away. Furiously masturbate while spinning in station. Keep an archive of scanned fits like Ghandi. Play Whose Online filing cabinet like Race Drones.

You can always bomb walls at Karapyth, probably soon on Solarfield, it was fun when I did it smile

You can teleport instantly away to a station and land with 0 instability and instadock. You can keep this 5 minute buff up and do other things and be effectively invincible minus being alpahed. It's a get-out-of-risk-free card on Beta and is completely broken.

It's not about being seen it's about having someone you're shooting at/have demobbed/whatever just instantly vanishing to a station. It's being actively abused and should be either removed on Beta or nerfed severely like 30 seconds max and clears immediately if you're locked.

Mine are always full. Why do Factory and Reverse Engineering get several extensions to expand capacity but Prototyping only gets one?

can't be such a pain.
remember, secondary squad leader was the solution to this.

last time there have been pages of complaints about how broken squads are, all other suggestions got ditched in favor of having secondary squad leaders feature.

I don't see what this has to do with all corp members - and allies would be nice too - being able to use eachothers teleporters without having to *** with squads.

People in the same corp can't use eachother's beacons without being in the same squad. Since you broke group missioning, this is a massive pain in the *** to constantly shuffle squads.

Latency is about the same for me but while I'm sometimes still undocking without any protection timer left before I can see anything, at least it hasn't crashed yet *knock on wood*.

+1 to mission unnerf. Current payouts are sad (especially since *** HARVESTING pays the most by virtue of mission completion speed). I regret dumping thousands of EP in to the mission extensions when I first returned thinking they would be great at higher level.

+1 to solo NPC farming unnerf - took a new guy out the Tellesis ball and chain with some heavies to try to farm him some loot and nearly lost MK2 heavies multiple times thanks to new NPC aggro mechanics focusing fire on one target repeatedly. It's ridiculous and killed one of the tolerable ways to make money in this.

I wouldn't hold my breath on anything substantial by Summer. I hate the teleport anomolies, easy escape and *** interference with massive spheres of influence that often spawn on gates and under stations suck. They already posted somewhere they were removing Specimen SAPs. Great. Do that. Do it now. Replace with one of the existing ones and get it done yesterday wink

They didn't even refuse, they just ignored me and ignored him and it went nowhere. I can't fathom for one second why they would do this, the very idea of turning down paid content someone else is paying for is one of the few things in the game that genuinely make me furious. Its just truning down easy content - and more importantly the kind of relationship that would allow for future additions

I hope that isn't the whole story because if it is that is terrible and this is a worse situation than I thought. I don't have that kind of money to put towards this game but I would definitely back some kind of Kickstarter for new content.

If I had a 3D printer I'd be petitioning for the wireframe so I could make some models and I would buy some nice metal ones if they existed. I bought the EVE 2nd decade collector's edition and I barely even played that game I would do more for this one.

I have been active on gamma for severa weeks with NER, and nearly no NPC was actively running towards us. they have been walking around in fixed travel routes, with a minimal aggro range.

I was not in squad doing combat missions - with the same issues that Inda mentioned.

Come to Kras, I can park a Riveler MK2 with 281.5 masking on a field and have roaming NPCs divert course over and over to run directly over where I'm sitting. I watched it happen more than 4 times back to back in less than 15 minutes last night, sometimes same spawns sometimes different. Luckily I picked a field that was next to a station so I escaped, barely, but it's so frequent it's pointless to even try.

I wasted over an hour of my extremely limited weekday play time trying to set up for that op too, moving a hauler nearby and trying to find a spot that didn't seem like obvious suicide, etc.

You don't have to look far on the killboards to see what happens if you don't, these are all 1 loss, the guy thought he was safe because of walls:

It's being done on alpha, if it was done on beta/gamma the scanner would die. I have been advocating removal of chassis scanners for  a long time. You spend time and effort on developing a unique fit, then you undock and some turd targets and scans you, and there goes the time and effort spent designing it. Everyone may as well just run exactly the same fits. In my opinion if anything should be removed form the game, it should be this.

Actually I've seen it far more often on Beta as of late, but you're right, it's prevalent on Alpha as well, I just don't think you can justify the flagging there because while it could be aggression it could be a curious newbie or a mission runner or something too and that should be a benefit of Beta/Gamma ownership albeit a minor one; the ability to develop and test fits in relative secrecy.

However on Beta/Gamma there is no reason to chassis scan someone unless you're trying to counter fit. That's clearly a PvP aggression and should be treated as such. Most often the scanner can't "die" because they scan around a station they can immediately enter so you can't kill them fast enough. If they're flagged they pay a price for their intel - a trade, it should also save the scans like geoscanners do they can be shared in game instead of everyone using external image hosting sites as it is currently.

Sadly, this is pretty much standard practice for AC. They've also already made NPC AI far more aggressive than it used to be, not sure what the new iteration is about.

Have you played this game?

NPC's are a shadow of the power and aggressiveness they used to be. Mission NPC's are a joke. The only possible exception to that is Observers.

They're still always fit to fill resistance holes and loaded with plates, they target support meaning you can't have an alt remote rep you and farm in peace, T4 combat missions on Beta don't pay enough to risk the MK2 heavy it takes to do them efficiently (which is as far as I've gone in combat missions, which is still hundreds) - and not even a third of what you say you make harvesting, most spawns have *** loads of ewar which is more annoying than dangerous but detracts from the "fun" which these are supposed to be, Observers are Godzilla.

On Gamma, masking doesn't mean *** they will make a B-line for you every *** time making mining/harvesting impossible outside of walled areas without full corp ops of combat guards which no one wants to do. Maybe YMMV but I've actually played pretty much every day for the last couple weeks since I came back; much of it mission running and Gamma production.

Lazy people who want to watch a movie and not pay that much attention cause it's *** boring but easy money? Maybe if you played the game instead of trying and failing at forum PvP you'd know something.

Jita is sitting in genchat right now bragging about making *** tons money on Hokk because it's best for harvesting missions and how they all have blackbots etc. The only reason harvesting is better than the rest is because they're faster to do. It's pretty *** sad that harvesting pays better than combat on *** Beta. Mission design fail.

Confirmed. Happening right now, just got home from work can't even login on some accounts forum taking abnormally long time to load/login as well.

EDIT: Got in on one account, server time 21:57
EDIT2: Immediately disconnected, nothing staying connected more than a minute or so most not loading at all.
