But you'll need a DPS bot to take out the Sequer as fast as possible, before he/she can delete his cargo and/or drop it in a field container.

That's the bottom line.

I want mechs/heavy mechs to be useful in more situations, not only at Intrusions.

So? My point still stands.
Doing an intrusion event? No problem, just stick a medium plate in an ewar and your hard to kill.
I'd like to see you try this next intrusion. I will have my lols on standby.
Light Ewars need a 10% speed nerf across the board. They should be the fastest thing out there, but they have too big of an advantage right now.
You need to understand that a lot of us that run ewars have Nav 10 AND we use tier 4 frames. Yeah, it's a lot of speed, but we paid for that speed and it's all we have to be honest. We don't have damage bonuses, we basically NEED to travel in packs to be able to kill anything larger than a light.
If ewars were half as effective as everyone here is making them out to be, then intrusions would consist of only ewar bots.
That's the bottom line.

I'd rather see containers labeled Container (Bastian Croft) when I'm destroyed, as in PvP. So if I drop loot and my buddies can get my container, they know who to give it to.
If you want a different sort of battle, I'll tell you what: For the next intrusion, why not agree to send a certain number from each side to do battle, say 30 vs 30. Send your best from each side and duke it out.
This would allow for
A) Force selection strategy
B) Tactics in combat
C) Would serve to remove the 'blob' element from combat and show who the superior force is through the above mentioned points instead of just numbers.

It's ridiculous to think that hailing down damage on a container will somehow break it open, yet keep the cargo intact.
There should be a skill/finesse way to open them without being fired upon that does not require brute force, however (which is just fail).
We hail down damage on bots all the time, break them open, and quite a bit of the cargo stays intact.
There should be skill/finesse way to open up enemy bots that does not require brute force and allows you to take everything they have, even the bot (which is an amazing idea).

I love this.
Field Containers need to be destructible on the beta islands, bottom line.
Optionally, when destroyed, they can also have a chance to leave behind a 'wreck' with some of the contents inside, much like the wreck of a bot.
Failing that, containers should be hackable with a module.
We need to be able to do something to prevent a sequer from just dropping his cargo into a field container, dying, and then coming back with a larger force to retrieve his goods.
incoming nerf ewar post
You're too late, that post was made 3 days ago.
I'd settle for an in-game calculator.

If you dont *CENSORED* kill it. At least 1 should be *CENSORED* sensor amp.
Force it *CENSORED* and dps it as much as possible at that point. If you dont have *CENSORED* it takes damage. It will continue *CENSORED* you're dead or escaped.
You certainly dont need *CENSORED*, but *CENSORED* to dps is best. 2 *CENSORED* out an intakt in 2 *CENSORED*, sometimes in *CENSORED* they have good skills.
Hope that helps!
This is very similar to what nano HAC advised when they asked how to fight nano HACs
As Neoxx said, (I hope ) fit sensor amp, that you can lock at relative same distance
Not even close to the same distance. IF the intakt isn't fitting a sensor amp himself, and IF he has no points in long range targeting, THEN maybe it's CLOSE to the same distance, but even that is stretching it.
StormWatch wrote:thanks for the replies...
So what are Intakt generally fitted with for damage?
A friend in a waspish.
This. I don't even fit guns on mine. Speed is more important.
I haven't even been to pvp islands yet but..
Wouldn't LOS blocking with mechs end up in some tanking silliness. You will get several walls of dedicated heavy armored mechs with several remote reps on them switching places and less armored mechs could just take a breather behind them when needed. And when things get really close up and personal.. two blobs colliding and everyones shooting everyone, for sure would take skill to manage that situation but maybe already bit too much skill...
At least that would require semi-interesting tactics. As it stands things are just 'show up with as many folks as you can pressgang.'

Not rewarding enough to create an economy there, at the very least. I'm sorry but we need something more rewarding than PvP for its own sake.
All subjective, I guess. I find it very rewarding personally.
Bastian Croft wrote:PvP is its own reward.
Indeed, but blobbing up to reduce the risk of failure is another form of playing it safe, one which your corp is involved in, may I add.
*shrugs* I don't make the rules.
We're already outnumbered on the field of battle, should we purposely bring even less and throw our bots away?
PvP is its own reward.
Is this being updated anymore?
Plenty of room out here on the beta islands
Get out there and PvP! I need more targets
I crashed both before and during the fight.
Also, I sent my logs in to the address you specified and it bounced back to me, 'rejected by the recipient domain.'
All items in the game should be free, there should be one hit kills all the time, and we should start with maxed skills in every category.
Yes, it's a big conspiracy.
I don't have goals, I take each moment as it comes.
I enjoy putting people in a position to be blown up on the beta islands, however, and when I'm not doing that, I'm preparing for when I am. For me, this means acquiring EW mods and minerals for EW bots.
The middle of the day?
How egocentric. The world does not revolve around your schedule, dude.
