Conflict of Interest.

I'm kinda curious what would happen to the political climate of this  game if Infestation just up and left it one day.

This had to happen.

The sooner we all realize it, the better.

If M2S told the devs that insurance, as implemented, would cause a problem and they ignored or denied it, the next logical step is to prove it and that's exactly what happened.  It was proven.

Now it can be fixed and we can all move on, or not, as the case may be.

Oh yay, PvE content just what this game needs.

What we need is **many** additional  smaller islands with resources.

Do you really think stretching out the already thin player base even further is what this game needs?

In other words, OP, you want to be able to go into enemy territory and kill NPCs in total safety, is that it?

I suggest joining a corporation with holdings on one of the beta islands already, or forming up as a corporation in force and doing an op on beta islands in force.  I suggest right off the Hilmanoc teleporter (there is both mining and NPC hunting available not even 1000m off the teleporter.

You can't live on alpha and expect to just come into land held by an opposing force whenever you want without consequence.  You have to take the bad with the good.

With all due respect, some of our best roams were assault/mech roams.  The enemy knew they could catch us, which made them engage with an equal (and often larger) sized force, but they were still beaten with superior target calling/tactics/organization.

Sounds fun.  Exactly the point.  Situations where both sides have to engage are fun often regardless of which side wins.  The fact that you guys came out in assaults/mechs too is simply because you silently agree too that just EWAR alone is really boring.

The problem with EWAR lights is they can engage and run at will while the other side cannot.
The majority of the time, roaming is all about EWARs alone because they are just too good.
Even the EWAR light heavy corps probably get really bored using them.

BTW, this is a balancing thread. Can infestation posts not contain propaganda all the time and make every single issue about how good they are and bad their enemies are?  Sounds like a brainwashed broken record tbh.

No, I'm not 'silently agreeing.'  We did an assault/mech roam because we wanted to, no other reason behind it.

The MAIN reason you see so many ewar roams is because when people want to run and dock up in safety, ewar bots are the only ones that can hope to get a fight out of folks who would rather not fight.  It really is that simple.

With all due respect, some of our best roams were assault/mech roams.  The enemy knew they could catch us, which made them engage with an equal (and often larger) sized force, rather than run, but they were still beaten with superior target calling/tactics/organization.

Yeah, bots should be able to go into field containers, so when we catch miners with their pants down around their ankles, they can hide in their own invincible field containers until we leave.

This is a great idea, I'll have a code you can have when the time comes.

US, East Coast, Comcast.

I'm also getting packet loss between 30%-50% on 149.6.182.42 like Reefpirate.

Minecraft: the single greatest threat to the Infestation alliance.

Sad, but true.

This brings up an interesting point...  how come there are no LAKES on these islands?

I am having the same issues you described, although my ping is around 150-170ms.  The rubberbanding started a day or two ago, like you said.

Sounds like you have a stalker!  Contact the authorities immediately.

I was part of two kills, both Nuimqol.

They both had something like a 600m lock range.  The Kain had ECM and a 250m or so demob range.

The Mesmer was nearly two shotting it seemed like, suppressor support helps.

They both dropped all t3 gear and the the Mesmer kernel was worth 330k, while the Kain kernel was worth 260k.

Just remember that interference must first 'accumulate to critical levels' before the debuff is applied.

A blob traveling as one will have the debuff by the time they enter combat, while the debuff may not be applied to the smaller force (by the larger one) until combat has been engaged in for an extended period (at which point it is likely to be over anyway).

If you want a different sort of battle, I'll tell you what:  For the next intrusion, why not agree to send a certain number from each side to do battle, say 30 vs 30.  Send your best from each side and duke it out.

This would allow for

A) Force selection strategy

B) Tactics in combat

C) Would serve to remove the 'blob' element from combat and show who the superior force is through the above mentioned points instead of just numbers.

No.  We dont want any easy fights.

Oh, please.

That's all I'll say on that subject.

Ok, ok, would it make you feel better if infestation swarms your island with mechs instead?

I suppose at least then you would have ample time to dock up and avoid losses; either way we wouldn't really get a fight out of you.

I was thinking about this the other day in terms of artillery modules.  I'd like to see a module that is effectively a painting laser to call in targets for artillery bots.
