Re: Scheduled server downtime - 2014-04-02

Nothing serious happened, the patch dragged out and I still have my hands full with the aftermath (patch notes, support), so devblog tomorrow.

the infograph was based on corporations with subscribed members.

now that all accounts are permanently subscribed, it shows them all. Perhaps it will be changed to only count those accounts recieving extension points (with a bit of delay to prevent high fluctuations)

Missiles basically went through walls and stuff, height blocking was wrong for them.

Re: Scheduled server downtime - 2014-04-02

Re: Scheduled server downtime - 2014-04-02

What about old bug: player can't hide from allready launched missiles?

Re: Scheduled server downtime - 2014-04-02

Line: honestly I don't really know, it got reported about a week ago or so?

Alexadar: that's not a bug, that's a feature smile To be able to hide from already launched missiles the server would need to constantly calculate line of sight for every missile while they are mid-air. That would be a lot of calculations.

maybe just one or two more calculations shortly before they hit will be sufficient. most of the time the obstacles are right in front of the bots and not in the middle of the sky. usually thats the way cover is used like. might not work for all cases, but roughly guessed 99,5% of them.

Nah that would look strange. A second ago missiles were flying straight to your heand, one second after they are PHEWWWW!
