Personally I don't believe anyone in their right mind would mind if it took 12 months to deliver the content if there was an ongoing dialogue between the devs and the community.
Let's examine the combat log, it usually tells a reliable story;
December 2012 (1)
November 2012 (1)
October 2012 (3)
September 2012 (1)
August 2012 (1)
July 2012 (2)
June 2012 (1)
May 2012 (1)
April 2012 (1)
March 2012 (5)
February 2012 (1)
January 2012 (1)
December 2011 (3)
November 2011 (4)
October 2011 (5)
September 2011 (2)
August 2011 (1)
July 2011 (3)
June 2011 (4)
May 2011 (2)
April 2011 (3)
March 2011 (3)
February 2011 (3)
January 2011 (7)
Disregarding the statistical anomaly in March 2012, I would draw the conclusion that something went wrong or something happened between December 2011 and January 2012, because that is the point where the communication goes from 2-3+ times a month to 1 a month, and in this year to 0 a month.
I don't know if thats correlated to any downsizing of the Dev team as there's quite a few rumors out there, but there is a problem in a lot less communication between the devs and the players. Thats a fact, everything else is guesstimates.
From a veteran's perspective Zoom, I remember that you guys used to go out of your way to post about broken toasters, candybars and random stuff when there wasn't anything to post in the past. I won't hazard a guess as to why that stopped, but personally I liked and respected those down-to-earth-gamer devs a lot more then the ones we have today.
