Re: Support Bot
The indy bots work fine as support bots as is right now. No reason to create support specific bots and mechs.
my 2 cents.

lol make support bots now please. really make this game that much better
I formally retract my -1 vote, is now +1
How about this - when you create Indy bot, you choose one of his main bonuces - mining, repair, energy transfer. As a result, you will get the same Termis f.e. that suits for single support role instead of mining.
Optional thing - you can re-assemble your Indy back to mining/other support bonus, but it will take time, money and resources.
Same bonus configuration can be applied to all other bots, in one or another way.
getting a bot with a bonus to RR or ET would just mean that those modules would be nerfed so it wouldnt be to overpowered with that bot and T4 equip+good extensions.
At the same time, that would mean that no other robot in the game would be able to efficiently use those modules anymore because its missing that bonus.

Really? No this would NEVER happen......would it?

No. When you craft robot, on factory window you can set up bonuses that robot will have.

... that part sounds a lot like the hybrid model - choose what parts u want und get the part related bonuses on your selfmade bot.
I like that hybrid model more than the idea to just choose which bonuses your already "licensed" bot named termis can have. For example build in the one part of the Arbalest that has the repairbonus to get your RR-support bot.
Though additionally to the hybrid model I would like to have a prototype system (for both bots and items) where the higher bonuses and such would be a matter of luck to get the best outcome.
Can you explain me, what you talk about? Discussion about another game or you just don't know current mechanic?
Current arsenal of equipment and skills is enough for support role.
