Warning: Guide will be done in two languages. This is a slow process. Please do not write unnecessary comments in the topic.
Topic for discussions here.

Hello all.
I watched the various Guides, videos and other resources. Most telling about how to press a button, how to run, how to extract resources, etc.
However, when a new player comes into my corporation, his problem is that he invested the experience into the wrong skills. Sometimes it can be fixed, often need to create a new account.

I will try to help the beginner.

P.S. This is a PvE guide.

Common things

Before you start playing you should remember the following:

1) 1 minute = 1 EP
2) You can reduce the level of skills during the first 30 days and if the level is not higher than 6.
3) Each robot has its own individual bonuses.
4) Combat robots has an advantage over one race and weak against another.

Re: First steps. PVE guide (eng)

Principles of Magnetostatics

Now we will create nuimqol (ICS) fighter, look at its features and choose a way that will successfully play.

Important note: All nuimqol robots has armor repair bonus.

Character сreation:

Megacorporation - ICS
School - Gnossman Strategic and Space Research Institute, Dresden
Specialization - General Military training
Spark - Ubenor

This will give you the basic skills for combat nuimqol character. After completion of basic tutorial program of Perpetuum i'm very recommend you to complete 10 training missions. Especially if you new here and alone.
Why do training missions? - Its an easy way to get your first free light robot, important equipment and earn some money.

Skills overview:

  • Profile combat skills:
    Basic magnetostatics - increases your damage with Light EM guns (3% per level).
    Advanced magnetostatics - increases your damage with Medium EM guns (3% per level).
    Nuimqol robot control - allows to control nuimqol robots. Also it reduces cycle time of EM guns for combat robots (1% per level).

  • Related combat skills:
    Basic robotics - multiplies light/assault robot's bonuses (include "Small magnetic weapon damage")
    Advanced robotics - multiplies mechs/heavy mechs bonuses (include "Medium magnetic weapon damage")
    Target analysis - Increases damage of all weapons (1% per level)
    Precision firing - Reduces the hit dispersion of all turrets (3% per level)
    Sharpshooting - Raises the optimal range of all turrets (3% per level)
    Critical hit - raises the chance of causing a critical hit (1% per level)
    General firing - raises the rate of fire of all turrets by an additional 1%.
    Rapid firing - raises the rate of fire of all turrets by an additional 3%.

The problem beginners are in search of priority skills. A lot of skills and too few experience points at the start. How to choose? Well. First it's better to invest experience by minimum to fit required equipment. Combat skills is better to raise in the order: accuracy/range skills -> damage skills -> rate of fire. Why? - to decrease ammo/accumulator cost.
Also remember skills cost. Depending on skill level. 1-5 skill levels are cheap and easy to raise. 6-10 levels more expensive (more here).

Yagel.

  • 1 Head slot;

  • 3 Turret slots + 1 turret or missile slot;

  • 2 leg slots.

When you got a first magnetic robot, you will encounter such problems:
1) Magnetic weapons has too big "Hit dispersion" - it possible to compensate with skill "Precision firing". For beginning raise to "5".
2) It's too hard to repair incoming damage. - Here is the main mistake of many ppl. Actually NPC's should not hit you. You need to be at maximum distance from the mobs (kiting). Optimal range of T1 EM guns - 120 meters. Lock range of light robots (NPC's as well) ~150 meters.
- To improve your lock range - use the equipment "Sensor amplifier";
- To improve optimal range of your weapons - raise your skill "Sharpshooting" to "5"-"6".
3) To equip sensor amplifier, 4xT1 EM guns, t1 small armor repairer and t1 lwf on Yagel need raise skills "Data processing" to "4" and "Reactor expansion" to "6".
4) We still have some free EP. How to spend more correct? It's enough just look at the next models of robots and the necessary extensions for them. At first you will have enough money and experience only for minimal things and extensions.

Arbalest.

  • 3 Head slots;

  • 5 Turret slots + 1 missile slot;

  • 3 leg slots.

Most likely this will be your faithful friend for a long time.
To jump from yagel to arbalest you need raise "Basic robotics" and "Nuimqol robot control" to "4"

Variants of equipment:

1) Fast dps:

- 2xmagnetic weapon tunings, Sensor amplifier
- 5xlight EM guns
- armor repairer, accumulator recharger, lightweight frame

This is the most affordable equipment. Minimum cost of money and experience points.
To be able use such equipment, you should invest experience points to "Energy management" - "2" and "Optimized weapon usage" - "1"
Warning!!! Beware of demobilizers!!! First, read the instructions for the light-weight frames!!

2) Plated dps:

- 2xmagnetic weapon tunings, Sensor amplifier
- 5xlight EM guns
- armor repairer, accumulator recharger, light/medium plate

As you see here frame replaced to plate. Light plates are easy to get, easy to fit. Medium plate requires more extensions because high usage of reactor, but it more useful because gives more HP.

3) Cap-stable full dps:

- 2xmagnetic weapon tunings, Sensor amplifier
- 5xlight EM guns
- armor repairer, medium aux accumulator, armor hardener (%resist% armors).

This is enough expensive equipment. Especially for beginners. First of all I recommend replacing all t1 equip with t2 because of really high reactor usage. Second you need to invest many EP (for noob) in reactor skills:
- Reactor expansion
- Economical weapon usage
- Economical armor usage
How it works? - Basic Arbalest's Accumulator capacity - 490AP. T1 Medium aux accumulator gives +375 AP. ie you double your Accumulator capacity when equip it, but "recharge time" same. As result you have much more AP and AP per second. You can shoot NPC's with permanently active armor repairer. But remember that your still not immortal.

4) Cap-stable full tank.
Well... It presents in theory. And i tried it even on practice...

- 2xarmor repair tunings, Sensor amplifier
- 5xlight EM guns
- armor repairer, medium aux accumulator, universal plate.

...But there are alot of the problems: very high EP cost for beginners, expencive equip, low dps, slow speed and main - it still weak.

I was able to equip with starting 20000EP:

1xT1 Sensor amplifier, 1xT1 weapon tuning;
5xT2 light EM guns;
1xT2 light armor repairer, 1xT1 med. aux accumulator, T1 lwf.

Skill tree - here.

Tips: More t2 items - less EP cost. Don't be lazy. Good equipment easy compensates your low EP. T2 Prototypes enough available and very usable. (for example try to compare T2 med. accumulator and T2 prototype)

T4 and arbalest
Arbalests has very difficult relationship with this equipment. Оn the one hand more damage and longer optimal range, on the other - forget about accumulator stability. High reactor/CPU usage won't allow equiping aux accumulators - only rechargers. Even 2xt4 rechargers cant stable you. But nothing is impossible...

Equip:

- 2xt4 EM tunings, t4 Sensor amplifier
- 5xt4 light EM guns
- t2 armor repairer, t2 prototype med aux accumulator, Coreactor.

Skills "Reactor expansion" and "Data processing" need raise to 10 (it gives 240,5RP and 305TF). Also need to spend a lot of EP for skills "Economical weapon usage", "Economical armor usage", "Optimized weapon usage" and "Optimized armor usage".

Little conclusion: Arbalest not an uber machine, but it is really good and customizable.
maximal optimal range - 175 meters.
maximal damage ~100-105 (per weapon).
Also "Cap-stable full dps" variant is enough to complete 1-4 lvl combat missions. (checked)

Re: First steps. PVE guide (eng)

Rocket man

Ok, it's time to rock because we are guys from Truhold Markson!

Important note: All hate us because we are almost independent of Accumulator and landscape. Also we are balanced very well.

Character сreation:

Megacorporation - Truhold Markson
School - Ponter-Lassax Institute of Modern Warfare, Houston
Specialization - Master of Field Operations
Spark - Ubenor

This will give you the basic skills for combat pelistal character. After completion of basic tutorial program of Perpetuum i'm very recommend you to complete 10 training missions. Especially if you new here and alone.
Why do training missions? - Its an easy way to get your first free light robot, important equipment and earn some money.

Skills overview:

  • Profile combat skills:
    Basic ballistics - increases your damage with Light missile launchers (3% per level).
    Advanced ballistics - increases your damage with Medium missile launchers (3% per level).
    Pelistal robot control - allows to control pelistal robots. Also it reduces cycle time of missile launchers for combat robots (1% per level).
    Propellant mixing - Each level of this extension raises the range of missiles by 3%.
    Missile guidance - Each level of this extension increases your robot's missile guidance accuracy by an additional 1 percentage point.
    Seismics - Each level of this extension decreases explosion size of missiles by 3%.
    Missile launch - Each level of this extension reduces the cycle time of missile launchers by an additional 1%.
    Complex missile launch - Each level of this extension reduces the cycle time of missile launchers by an additional 3%.

  • Related combat skills:
    Basic robotics - multiplies light/assault robot's bonuses (include "Small missile damage")
    Advanced robotics - multiplies mechs/heavy mechs bonuses (include "Medium missile damage")
    Target analysis - Increases damage of all weapons (1% per level)
    Critical hit - raises the chance of causing a critical hit (1% per level)

At first time it's better to invest experience by minimum to fit required equipment. Combat skills is better to raise in the next order: accuracy/range skills -> damage skills -> rate of fire. Why? - to decrease ammo cost.
Also need to remember about skills cost. Its depends of skill level. 1-5 skill levels are cheap and raises easy. 6-10 levels more expensive (more here).

Castel

  • 1 Head slot;

  • 3 missile slots + 1 universal slot;

  • 2 leg slots.

To completely equip castel in T1 no need any additional extensions. Sensor amplifier, 4xlight missile launchers, armor repairer and light-weight frame fits well. 150 meters - basic missile range... Nice to see at least one balanced race on the server. Next will be interesting.

Waspish

  • 4 Head slots;

  • 5 missile slots + 1 universal non-missile slot;

  • 2 leg slots.

This guy are special. Robot bonus "Missile range" gives +5% per level of basic robotics.
Skills "Basic robotics" and "Propellant mixing" raised to "10" + t4 missile launchers gives 324 meters optimal range (and 388m with small heat-IX missiles)!!! Holy Gropho!

From heaven to Nia.

1) To eqip simple "Fast full-dps" (fast-food waspish)

3xt1 missile launcher tuning, t1 sensor amplifier
5xt1 missile launchers
t1 armor repairer, light weight frame

...you need spend some ep for CPU skills: "Data processing" - "5" and "Optimized weapon usage" - "2"

2) To eqip simple "Plated full-dps" (waspish on the plate)

3xt1 missile launcher tuning, t1 sensor amplifier
5xt1 missile launchers
t1 armor repairer, t1 medium plate

This is a slow build and very armored. Armor points increases twice. Appears resiest to demobiliesers. But such build expencive by EP. Need to raise your "Reactor expansion" - "5", "Economical weapon usage" and "Economical armor usage" - "4". Of course this is a useful skills in future, but it possible to do later as well.

Actually that's all PvE variants for waspish. Too few? Well this is a PvE. It strange if you will be unhappy with powerful long range dps assault.

T4 equipment.
Yes. T4 very important for this robot. Easy to fit, easy to use.

3xT4 Missile launcher tunings, 1x Sensor amplifier
5xT4 Missile launchers
t4 armor repairer, t4 light-weigh frame.

Tips:
I'm very advice to raise your "Basic robotics" skill and "Propellant mixing" to 6-8. Also don't forget about "Missile guidance" and "Seismics" to increase your final damage.
No need to try tank waspish with armor plates or resists. This is a shield class. Especially in PvP.

Conclusion: This is long range fast-dps robots. Your enemies die before come close to you. Only dead waspish stops shoot. But again nothing is perfect. All missile robots are slow because of heavy missile launchers. T2 prototypes solves problem partially. In PvP have to give up part of the equipment to fit into the squad speed limit (low limit of course).

中暑 (zhòngshǔ) - Thermal strike

Important note: 骑 虎 难 下 (qí hǔ nán xià) - Riding the tiger, it is difficult to get off.

開 始 To appear near the temple of the rising sun you must possess the following qualities:

Megacorporation - Asintec
School - Military Research Headquarters, Beijing
Specialization - Warfare technology expert
Spark - Ubenor

过 考 试 After reading the tutorial scrolls you can enter to your new home - Asintec Alpha Terminal. Ask for training assignment to get your first weapons and armor. Don't forget that you should complete ten assignments to get your first combat beast! Be careful! Do not mistake the way a soldier and peasant.

下 马 看 花

  • Profile combat skills:
    Basic optics - increases your damage with Light lasers (3% per level).
    Advanced optics - increases your damage with Medium lasers (3% per level).
    Thelodica robot control - allows to control thelodica robots. Also it reduces cycle time of lasers for combat robots (1% per level).

差 以 毫 厘 , 是 之 千 里 Do not rush to spend your money and experience points. It is better to learn one powerful and critical punch than a thousand weak. In a battle you will not have much time. You still not faster than wind.
If you started play with asintecs, you should remember that main force is a crit.
Lights and Mechs are armor resist tanks. Assaults and Heavy mechs - energy tanks.
All yellow bots are VERY CUSTOMIZABLE.
Laser weapons has longest range and least hit dispersion.
Lasers consume a lot of accumulator.

普 罗 米 修 斯 (Prometheus)

  • 1 Head slot;

  • 3 Turret slots + 1 turret or missile slot;

  • 2 leg slots.

To fit t1 Sensor amplifier, 4xt1 Lasers, t1 armor repairer and lightweight frame, you need to improove your reactor (similar problem like with yagel). The easiest way to raise skill "Reactor expansion" - "4"
No reason to equip something else.

巴 風 特 (Baphomet)

  • 3 head slots;

  • 5 turret slots + 1 missile slot;

  • 3 leg slots.

To start use Baphomet you need raise "Basic robotics" and "Thelodica robot control" to "4"
This assault very similar to Arbalest (by properties and fitting variants). At the same time it has similar problems as well.

Variants of equipment:

1) Fast dps:

- 2xlaser tunings, Sensor amplifier
- 5xlight lasers
- armor repairer, accumulator recharger, lightweight frame

This is the most affordable equipment. Minimum cost of money and experience points.

- armor repairer, accumulator recharger, light/medium plate

As you see here frame replaced to plate. Light plates easy to get, easy to fit. Medium plate requires more extensions because high usage of reactor, but it more useful because gives more HP. Anyway You cannot avoid the experience spending even with light plate.

3) Resist + dps:

- 2xlaser tunings, Sensor amplifier
- 5xlight lasers
- armor repairer, accumulator recharger, universal/profile resist armor

This variant is a more easy to fit. No need to spend any EP but there are still remains problems with demobs.

4) Cap-stable full dps:

- 2xlaser tunings, Sensor amplifier
- 5xlight lasers
- armor repairer, medium aux accumulator, armor hardener (%resist% armors).

This is enough expensive equipment. Especially for beginners. First of all recommended to replace all t1 equip to t2 because of really high reactor usage. Second you need to invest many EP (for noob) in reactor skills:

After that summary AP recalculates to Baphomet's bonus "Accumulator capacity". ie you ~ double your Accumulator capacity when equip it, but "recharge time" stay same. As result you have much more AP and AP per second. You can shoot NPC's with permanently active armor repairer. But remember that you still not immortal.

5) Cap-stable full tank.

I was able to equip with starting 20000EP:

1xT1 Sensor amplifier, 2xT1 weapon tuning;
5xT2 light lasers;

- 5xt4 light lasers
- t2 armor repairer, t2 prototype med aux accumulator, t4 Coreactor.

Skills "Reactor expansion" and "Data processing" need raise to 10 (it gives 305 RP and 305TF). Also need to spend a lot of EP for skills "Economical weapon usage", "Economical armor usage", "Optimized weapon usage" and "Optimized armor usage".

Conclusion:
Everything has it's price. Baphomet has big dps like arbalest and long range like waspish. But only with high skill you get good damage with accumulator stability. Anyway this is a really powerful class.
About another yellows - there are similar problems and advantages. All asintecs are long range (electronic as well).
