Topic: Passable terrain not updating correctly

A number of new builds are been placed but none of them show on your passable terrain until you get within range to see the tiles. This did not happen before. I assume you need to delete all mapping data to get a true fresh copy?

Would be better if passable terrain updated every time you entered an Island. Else you'll visually see a wall but not the impassibility.

Re: Passable terrain not updating correctly

walls wont show up on radar static impassability anyway if they dont change the system, since they are on the "plants" layer, which is not displayed there.

you dont want to have the client requesting the whole map data again everytime you deploy to terrain or enter and island. that would skyrocket the loading screen time for everyone, and alos make bigger islands even harder to implement.

"this did not happen before" is kinda wrong, since they did force the updater to refresh the whole map data again with most patches that had terrain and building changes since release -> those are the 100MB+ patches.

Re: Passable terrain not updating correctly

In former patches I already had the case, that terrain change was not updated on all clients in radar.

Quite annoinying to have the terrain shown as passable on client A and shown as impassable on client b when driving two clients with same bot type.

In one case it helped to relog, in another case it vanished after 2  or 3 days (which means several relog needed)
