Topic: Terran Robot Control

"It has been over a year since the terran sparks have first arrives at Nia and took contol over the nians.
It has been over a year since the syndicate has taken the first outposts from the nians.
It has been a year since the terrans have started to produce nia's technology to increase their power on the planet.

but the terrans have not stood still in that time. their scientists and engineers have worked hard and finaly came out with the first human robots of their own. master pieces of human creativity. their newest weapon arsenal is more than capable to be a match for nia's military power. the newest tanks, robots and mech calibration templates stand ready to be manifactured at nia and so bring our own technology to the battlefield."

just a small idea.
why should we terrans not get our own robots skill and our own tanks/bots/mechs. new skill new toys new designs, new fun.
i would like to see bots specialised in firearms and maybe even a new "canon" weapon category additionaly to the existing firearms.
of cource from the design i would keep it a bit more to the "conventional mechs". but thats a thing that would come if this would realy become life.

Re: Terran Robot Control

Would be neat, but could cause some hurt feelings amongst the veterans as this would be a completely new race of robots that would shift the balance considerably... and i'd have to imagine this would take a lot of dev time to implement... maybe it'd be a marquee feature for a future expansion?

Re: Terran Robot Control

i would like to see this 1 day in the future.

Re: Terran Robot Control

yes I agree since the Nian Industrial Trust is the corp/faction that created the industry bots and mechs.

It would be nice to see a combat trust corp faction that are the creators of the syndicate combat bots and mechs that have a foucs on projectile bonues.

But I am sure this is something the DEVs have thought of and may not be near the top of their list of things to do.

Like Glimpse said, maybe for a later expansion............

the existing three combat factions already lack diversity due to one robot per class and faction...
yes, please expand that to four combat factions...

this is not about when or how this es beeing implemented. its also not what else has to be done first.
of cource there are other things that this game needs way more urgent.

anyway, your argument that the existing races need more diversity is no argument in any way against this. it may be that this issue should be adressed first, yes...

its just an idea that stands in the room... thats all.

Re: Terran Robot Control

Thats where MG and AC bonuses may have a place. However, may be hard to balance in current system

Have a productive day, runner!

Lets make minmatar! \o/

Re: Terran Robot Control

I would rather see the new line SOONER rather then LATER.

Later just proves more difficult to balance.

Re: Terran Robot Control

With the diversification coming from the change that erased the bonuses from robotic control, I think they will balance things a bit more, they have a better way to buff some of the abilities to certain robots.

I am not sure do we really need a 4th combat faction, if we would, it should be the middle ground, that is not vulnabre to all of the other races, but at the same time not devastating for them. Not sure how to balance tho, possibly with a new damage type?

<GargajCNS> we maim to please

Re: Terran Robot Control

Firearms are the "universal" weapon... its powerfull on every bot that can fit turrets (eg. ewar mechs and industrials)

they are balanced that way and thats good. Implementing another bot with firearms bonus would result in "lowering all firearms DPS by 50%" and would remove fitting flexibility for other builds.

they are meant as non-faction weapon. How would changing that make a positive change to the gameworld?

How is more bots, more diversity a bad thing?

You can put lasers on Kains, missiles too.  EM weapons on Artemis, and yes Missiles as well.  Also you can put EM's on Tyrannos.  These are ALL good things.  GOOD THINGS.

Also make the 4th faction do primary of Chemo Damage and re work the resists.
