Topic: Observers change idea

With all these beacons that working fine, I'd like to offer an idea how to change observers and/or caravans. Here it is: nerf superior observers a little (make em less powerful), and make them acting like those beacons - you hit observer, and it starts to spawn mobs like a beacon, until it's dead. Same mechanics can be appliend to a caravans. Level of mobs need to be balanced ofc, to not make a whole squad too weak.

Making them call for help and spawn reinforcements until it´s dead will make it very exploitable I think.
The idea itself seems good tho!

I really like this idea but this also need a "Local Announcement System" and could be treated as a "World Event"?
Observers should be a little less deadly but I do agree that they should spawn NPCs at 50% and 10% health.
Of course make this a one time deal for each observers so you can't farm them as they do repair very quickly.

It would make them a lot more fun. I think caravans should be haulers with a SINGLE escort mech/assaut (Beta/Alpha). Then once you attack any of the caravan it drops a beacon that causes a small handful of NPCs to spawn once. If you kill the escort NPC however before it has a chance to active the beacon (E.g. within 30 seconds of engaging it) you can loot the beacon from it. (Low level beacon)

Beacon levels can be linked to caravan/observer level. Maybe even new brand observer type, for elite ones.

I like current observer difficulty, the make me wet my pants when spawning a level 3 observer stash on beta as they should yarr

Yeah the maximum npc difficulty should equal 100% chance of death if big error against them, even for veterans, even in small/medium groups. It is balanced that way now and offer a real challenge.

Lets wait for heavier chassis ingame to see even more challenging pve. Because i think the game misses something in the area of "biggest threat possible". Maybe change the way pve HL is handled, why not use POS as an opportunity to do this?

Once we have our new islands adapted for structures creation, why not make the faction npc build highly defended structures, at random locations, preceded by roaming activity etc...  What is most fun and realism, a giant robot/monster/whatever with 1 billion HP, that take a 40 players group 1hr to kill, or a giant fortress defended by swarms of low npcs, defensive turret structures, and maybe some observers or a little stronger opponents at the center near the loot.

From a lore/evolution of game perspective, i think implementing npc actions inside the POS system will be essential to develop the "war against natives" aspect of the persistent world. Once we get further inside Nian empire, we will obviously encounter ennemy structures. I think those structures should be almost all destuctible, except some key buildings. After that its easy to regularly adjust aliens response level to be in line with the story.

Observers on beta should include lights and ewar. So you can get lone Observer and the  OBSERVER SQUAD! fuuu

Please don't focus on fixing what is not broken.  Observers are fine.  Continue on plans for more content and fix Beta to allow for livability and Empire type activities.

We have had 3 major Observer adjustments in the last 2 patches.

Un-distracted effort on higher priorities plz

makind any npc stronger should just mean that it got higher tier equip, better AI, and better AI teamwork.
