you are being routed through dial up... wtfux
It's a feature.
However that switch/router/gateway has ALWAYS been an issue and Aus latency has ALWAYS been an issue as well. It comes from being on the other side of the globe and all traffic passing through a country wide filter. D:
WTH ??? That is called a service provider ??? Are they recording all traffic on that hop ?
Consider yourself lucky!

That's a route to the Dev server (Should be the same for the other server too though).
Also 500ms is not TOO bad. That's half a second on every command which on an FPS would be unplayable but here it's just annoying.
The big issue is that the ping can very easily spike to double that which IS an issue and there is nothing Perpetuum can do about the Germany routing issues.

Hm...clearly the true problem is that your living in Australia.
Your first fix it so put your house up for sale and move anywhere else.
I have heard the middle east is really nice this time of year.

Its cheap at the very least...
The ping reply times for traceroutes can usually be taken with a grain of salt as most of those routers (especially the reach ones) are under pretty heavy load and are busy routing and not answering pings.. However, 400-500ms from AU is pretty normal to Europe (I know, im in Perth), its the spikes of 1000-2000ms that are the killers..

I was real clear on what the real issue is
And another dual DC while in station...then a 30 minute wait to connect to dataserver. Getting really frustrating with continually issues not being fixed or explained.
Annoyed loyal customer venting ....
Sucks to be an Australian.
Well i'm from eu and i'm having huge lag spikes on evening in this game, usually i'm around 60~70ms, i did a 43598ms tonight, not far from a DC i guess and this is a daily problem
i could handle a constant 300ms~ but bouncing from 60 to N/A is just unplayable when it go crazy
