Topic: Market improvement

Improvement list of things that could be added for the market:

1- Add name and quantity of the things you sell in the event log
(you can see this informations for the things you buy, but not for the the thing you sell.

2 - In the supply/demand windows in the market, put your offer in an other color, to see quickly if your offer is still the best.
(Like when you make "internal corporation offer" and the text become yellow).

3 - Allow the "right click" to modify the offer in the supply/demand windows
(in order to not switch everytime between "supply/demand" windows and the "owns advert" windows to modify order.

4 - In the "own advert" windows allow the double click to go directly to the market information of the item you have an offer for.
(In order to avoid the boring "right click" > Information > Market information)

5 - In the "own adverts" windows, add the total amount  of money you may earn for the supply, and the total amount of money you have invested for the demand.
(In order to have a quick global overview of your investements in the market).

Three very good ideas. Doesn't sound complicated to add green orders as yours. Gold orders as corp. Blue orders (One day) as conglomerate orders. Very nice idea. We already have corp order marking and adding more details to transations makes sense. You should be able to open transaction information to see "Order location, quanitity, NIC per unit, Total NIC" rather than just "Note: [ITEM] (AMOUNT)"

Allow you to see who bought items from you/sold items to you. Not on the market info but in the logs after the transaction. This will probably become critical down the line for players to recognize and report bots, wage market wars etc.

How about being able to filter any single stations that is in range? Updating orders from across the map while mining or ratting is great. You could make this alot easier if one could filter say "only orders in tma" as long as your within range of that terminal.

I am very much against showing who is buying and selling items in the logs.
The filter idea however is very good but it's easy enough to just sort the list by location.

I'm all for showing who is buying and selling. It opens up a whole other layer of pvp. The more intel dedicated players can gather the better.

Also I think it would be good to see who you trade with, even purely for logging/tracing purposes. Not critical for me personally though.

the reason for 3 is so they dont have to pay tax again on the order taxs are high u so u dont want to pay them twice

Except you can't order by both price and location. So right now you have to either look over location or look over price.

This isn't a problem now where then is 1-2 orders, it'll be hellish if the game grows.

In order to make the trading a real profession, maybe it could be great to add some specialized trading skill.

For exemple: the possibility to change order from a terminal to an other should be affected by a skill.
A kind of long range marketing.

lvl 0: you can only change advert in the station you are docked in.
lvl 10: you change advert everywhere (or a limited distance...)

i don't how to make this progress trough the lvl ^^

It's only one idea, i think there are  many possibility to make the trade a specialisation.

And that could be enjoyable when the market will be more active, when ICS alpha will be a new Jita ^^

I agree that we need more trading skills. But I think I'll make a separate thread on that smile
