Topic: ROBOT RACING DERBY - Brotherhood Coalition/62nd sponsored event.

ROBOT RACING DERBY!!!!

The brotherhood Coalition and the 62nd are proud to bring you a robot racing phenomenon. This idea is credited to by the great Neoxx of m2s, and will now be implemented by us for your great gaming fun! Here's how it works:

There is a track that you will race on with two of your friends. This track will be treacherous
and full of steep cliffs and possible villains along the way! But if you can push your friend to
victory, you will win the game and have much glory!!!! Simply complete the track with your friend a specific number of times, and you will win!!

There's a twist though, your friends and you have certain roles.... AHA FRIEND!!!

Player 1:  The "Puck".  It is his job to complete the race.  He is the only one that counts when completing laps.  This will likely be a fairly slow bot either fit with nothing at all or 1 armor plate to reduce the effects of demobs(an arhke for this race).  It cannot be super fast so the other team members can keep pace with it.  60-70 kph.

Player 2:  Offense.  It is his job to disrupt the opponent's puck in any way possible.  Primarily will be demobilizers, but can also fit other ewar to improve his odds of catching the opposing team's puck.  Can only affect the enemy defense and puck.

Player 3:  Defense.  His job is to protect his team's puck.  Using demobilizers on the other team's offense, ECM to keep them from locking the puck, etc.  Could also fit NEXUS to increase the puck's speed.  Can only affect his own puck and enemy offense.

Thus the idea really is that your "puck" must be pushed through the track, and you must use ewar to help your puck move through, and hinder your opponents puck! We are trying this for the first time and are inviting anyone interested in the community that wishes to aid as offense or defense players. We will balance teams appropiately.

For now we wish for people to use assaults/ewars/lightbots for defense/offense according to what they can afford. Pucks will be arhkes with a light plate fit to reduce speed. Please use t1 fits, and t1 nexus up to you all. No guns please, ahaha, but energy drainers etc YES!

Time:18:00 server time saturday ( 11 am saturday cst usa time )
Where: Meet up near ics alpha, then we will take you up the TREACHOUROUS MOUNTAIN OF RACING DOOM.
When: Saturday 2nd April for first event
Entry fee: 200k winning team splits pot amongst members.
Bots: Defense/Offense - Light/Assault/Ewar no guns, any other modules ok! TEE HEE
PUCK = 1 arhke ( so team needs an arhke )
HOW LONG THIS RUN? - We'll just try a 10 minute race, or 5 minute race and see how many laps each team can do.

This can extend longer pending on how much fun people have.

Joint coms - If we need them for teams we can use 62nd coms, and I'll make channels to pull people in.

Please contact mara kaid/Friedal Shoveler/Celebro for interest etc beforehand and we'll escort you down to the event place.

Re: ROBOT RACING DERBY - Brotherhood Coalition/62nd sponsored event.

The first racing event was finished today!!!

We had 8 attendees including myself. Teams were 4v4 teams decided this setup:

Team 1: 2 defense, 1 offense, 1 puck (nexus)
Team 2: 2 offense, 1 defense 1 puck

It was open to the public in general. Upon request and polite discussion

This took place somewhere on alpha, and was at a track with a great view and lots of side-tracks and mountains. In the following picture I will outline the track. Teams were separated and the hardest part was helping people learn the logic behind the positions.

We overcame this logic by simply having people set the people they could attack in red.
Thus offense would set defense and puck as red, and defense would set offense as red.

The first lap took some nice twisty curves and the pucks got lost several times. It was very cool and fun to be demobbing/ewaring each other throughout the whole event. Some of my team opponents would drain my energy which didn't seem to work well. The suppressors worked well. My enemy team also brought a nexus module so lol we didn't...

First LAP = TEAM 2 VICTORY
The first lap people got lost, but we got it and the demobing/ecm was fun with some of us lagging behind.

Second LAP = TEAM 1 VICTORY
I noticed my defense had been pulled behind via a demob, while I was staying on the puck I should have gone back.

THIRD LAP =.....

At this point alex our referee suggested we go back and demob the enemy. There was no real reason we had to complete the tracks. Thus kanogi and I went back and waited for the enemy puck to come by. When he finally came we demobbed him, but then my enemies ECM went off and I was JAM JAM JAM'D...

in the end

TEAM 1 WON THE GAME!!! YAHHH!!! TEAM 1 ARE VICTORIOUS.

Team 1 = Lidia/Janish/Orbela/Cyber-Puck ( CYBER/IBS/CYBER PUCK)
Team 2 = Kanogi/Mara/Inda/Lor-Stupid Puck (62nd/HUN/CYBER DEFUNCT PUCK)

Referees - Alexander M2S ( thank you ), Baglodush 62nd using sensor detectors.

A gracious donation of nic was given to the winning team by Alexander, and 200k from each person was given to the loosing team.

Hanging our head in disgust we vowed to figure a way to be triumphant again!

I will ask one of the IBS guys to take my place for running the event if I am not there, as sometimes I like to go for hikes lol.

Next week it's likely I'll ask an IBS person as I may be busy. This event was a blast.

Re: ROBOT RACING DERBY - Brotherhood Coalition/62nd sponsored event.

I'll try to be there, but it's hard to do two events in two days. Like sometimes I like to see what's beyond that door and just well.. open up the NECRONUMDUM!

Re: ROBOT RACING DERBY - Brotherhood Coalition/62nd sponsored event.

And I will do referee again. If you want.

Re: ROBOT RACING DERBY - Brotherhood Coalition/62nd sponsored event.

We do, work with fried.

Re: ROBOT RACING DERBY - Brotherhood Coalition/62nd sponsored event.

I will try to organize another race this week. I may try two times a month. It's just hard when you help your mates do industry and bammo there's an intrusion on your race day. Or you want to go out with your gf and have a stroll about the funny farm.
