Topic: Do hills block direct line of fire?

I assume the answer is yes.  However NPC's were hitting me through a low hill so I'm asking to see if it should be bug reported.  Tried searching the bug forum to see if it was already there but came up empty.  Thanks.

There are about 5 threads if not more on the subject of LoS.
Yes weapons hit the ground a lot if there are small hills. Lasers used to do it a lot but they seemed a little improved on last patch.

However you'll get used to using the camera to see line of sight and it very quickly become part of the game. Hopefully the hit-box of the robots or the height map of the terrain can be tweaked in later patches.

the question is - did they really "hit" you, or was there just the grafical effect.

I'll check tonight and report back.  The spot was pretty close to the ICS terminal so it won't be hard to go there and provoke some fire.

OK at this point it looks like it is only graphics effects (EM) coming through the hill.  I took no damage.
