lets see if they make it til then
:lol::lol::lol::lol:
dont kid yourself anni.
It's summer with nice weather, and you think they are sweating in Zooms basement chainsmoking menthol cigs pushing out a patch?
If any thing goes wrong like a toaster melt down.... I doubt they would recover from such a pricey piece of equipment going down.
what? 4 syndicate bots shouldn't be THAT hard to implement.
light, assault, mech, heavy mech
thats the pattern AC usally works with releasing stuff.
i wouldn't even wonder if they would recycle names from old concept art of the 4th faction - greek mythology if i remember it right.

Hopefully something comes of perpetuum for even the smallest amount of time during this summersale, US TZ does not strike me as existent anymore.

I can see the logic behind the biggest population drop ever;
Players who used to log in for EP saw there were some changes to the EP system, skimmed over it and concluded they now have to do shizzle for EP, said "f*ck this" and just stopped logging in.
It's not like Steam sale is gonna change something.
Players that don't know Perpetuum yet don't give a *** about a new patch.
There is nobody online to tell new players that "not everyone uses general chat but don't worry, it's populated enough" which help a bit to keep them playing for more than a few hours.
i am pretty confident that the biggest population drop was because zoom once announced a hello-kitty ictus variant.

no, it was because he didn't implemented it
You expecting too much from the Steam sales.
People are getting A LOT of awesome offline games to play for the next months, and they won't be interested in spending those months grinding NPCs for EP
And to be honest, there's a lot of better options in steam if we'll get a list of "grind-based progression" MMOs with big sales right now (many of these games also have daily packages of stuff, and pvp).
Maybe it's better to change planed curve a little bit? To make it more "fair" and less rushing?
For example:
A maximum of 1.000.000 EP can be achieved through activities.
The amount of EP gain not being affected by current EP.
Active EP gain slows down as it closes to the total of 1m.(to avoid "WTF?")
Achievement in the end \0/
Pros:
* Not forcing the player to grind a lot from the start if he don't want to, just do stuff in his own pace (in the current slope it'll logical to grind a lot from the beginning, because daily package will give nothing compared to activity).
* Also removes the dillema of buying DLC now or later.
* At the same time, the others can grind 24/7 if they so damn bored waiting.
* And it'll be fair for all players. Maybe some jealous guy don't like person with 3m EP geting +1m too, but i think there are more "average" players, who have some significant EP already, but not very much. They might feel scammed, because "hey, you might achieve it in a month if you haven't started half a year ago and kept loging in".
It won't make a blind bit of difference to the population. You might get some old folks back if you commit to new bots and new weapons on a six month plan of drip release. Once you have a population you might get new people then but that's it really.
The devs can't / won't do it and the game is done.
its hard to comment the ep grind, since we have zero numbers on how much we will actually get
though, unless AC releases some great NPC AI's soon - and i really mean soon. the game is really dead

This, and as long as almost no veteran is willing to spend some time in the game, this will not change.

You had me at hello. if you had said hello, you would have had me at it.
Hello
For the 1%'s, I see this as a good thing, a person minning for a week will get enough EP boost to be able to field a nice bot with nice skills. After a month, they can field something with deadly ability.
Soon it will be a taget rich envrioment.
Hello! I sent you a PM via the forums.
Got it, and in.
