it would be great.
its just that you can't select a damn thing without a mouse. and without selecting, you can't do ***.
not to forget that nearly no pop-up window has its "close" or "confirm"-button highlighted by default, so you ALWAYS need to click with the mouse on it.
last but not least... missing first person view or a usable 3rd-person view (one that isn't blocked by your own robot) makes it night impossible to play with controller.

that needs a new UI engine...
i doubt that anything about the UI has changed since garg let me see perp 3D with the shutter-glasses they got from NVidia 4 years ago. (a z-buffer that would already improve the 2D-experience my a great margin)
