These shots are from way back when we had a more hazy/glowy postfilter setting, if that's what you mean.

y. u can add this in game? or impossible?
Heavy bloom effect like this was in fashion around the mid-2000s and most people don't like it nowadays. We could possibly make it optional, but that would be way down on the todo list now.
That said I'll have a round with lighting/glow/etc. in one of the upcoming patches (as mentioned in the roadmap blog), which will bring back some of the more hazy looks.
We need these special effects! Make them optional, please. TY.
My sister called perpetuum online browser game and wants to pick up my video card, as perpetuum does not use graphics effects. :'-( Help me save my videocard!
well, FX is only second on the visual improvements i could imagine.
it beats me why terrain detail is still down to polygons based on the hightmap resolution.
you got to love seeing rockgs grow:

You're talking about the effects, or the textures?
Because there's some pictures with suprisingly high detailed robots, like this forum's background.
I hate the bloom effects too. It's good for making screenshots sometimes, but it's ugly when playing.
As Zoom said, it was popular back in a day when many people didn't have hardware support for any shaders and any shader shadows were supercool.
But not that we have here too much shader effects (although i like shadows and lighting), so i'm not against the bloom option. Almost a decade ago i've played some mmo for a long time, and sometimes i've swithced the bloomon because it altered the image of which i've seen almost the same for a couple of years

The background here is a rendered image of course. We have high detail models of 4 robots for this purpose but they can't be used ingame (too high polycount).

The screenshots on Twitter - robot models, which are now in the game, but without filters? If so, I would really like to see it in the game. Optionally, through the settings menu. We also want to make beautiful screenshots and record beautiful videos.
The screenshots on Twitter
...huh?

Sorry. in facebook.
If you mean the facebook cover picture, those are the same high-poly models like the ones in the background here.
In my first post:

It's real perpetuum graphics or rendering? We can have this graphics?
It seems to me, or all screenshots from the game smoother?

Chemist, I hate to be that guy but I don't like the large amount of hazy fog.

I also do not in all games like it. But: it should be optional. And I think the video / screenshots will look much better.
I saw the screenshots of games that look better than it is now. I would like to have the same graphics. If someone does not like it, just do not need to switch on these options in the game. Everybody is happy.
Bloom is bullcrap. First thing I turn off in every game which has this option.
I would use it only for video and screenshots. I repeat: if there is such an opportunity in the game, it should be used. Some people like it, some do not.
Now robots look like some angular.
More than beatifull robots, i prefer see natural disasters (tornadoes, floods, tsunamis, earthquakes,...) ingame with effects on robots parameters.
By example, 5 kms diameter tornado: -5% sensor strenght, +3% masking, -5% speed.

Occasional damage from being hit by random pieces of someone's structures is the least of your problem when you found a tornado in your neighbourhood
