Re: The return of the lag

It was likely something network related, not something with the server, that's why it fixed itself without us doing anything.

(Zoom was on a short summer timeout.)

edit: doh I meant to post this in here, whatever smile

Yeah we're having the longest ever extreme heat alert here, temperature records getting broken everywhere close to 40°C.

Merged all the topics into this one.

It's definitely not our server that's having problems.

Can those of you having lag/deploy/login problems please do traceroutes? Start the client, open the console (default key ´), type openprofiler into it, then select the traceroute tab and click trace.

I think you´re right. I think is a Perp Datacenter problem, but you don´t do nothing, ... or you've opened a claim/ticket to your hosting/provider ?.

I send many in recent days ago. I send a ticket to you, looks like is level3.net fault.

Yes, thank you, but the built-in trace in the Perpetuum client does the trace both ways which might tell us (and our datacenter) more about the issue.

Re: The return of the lag

From my side, is a problem inside the level3.net network.

As of now, it has died yet again.

sure the 100's and 200's aren't great, however, your server is dead/crashed.  It isn't lag so can we put 2 and 2 together and not get 3.

Re: The return of the lag

Maybe a multiple client or a cluster issue. I was fine tonight. Maybe I was lucky. Tonight ONLY.

Re: The return of the lag

server didn't allow to log in earlier this morning, now you can log in again, but lag is still a pain in the ***.

Re: The return of the lag

Atm (10:38 server time) server lag is bouncing from 100 to 4000, 200, 7000, 600, 1200, 300, 5000, 2000, 200, ...
Every lag spike to 4000+ come with rubberbanding back.
