PS: yes I used to play eve

Re: Building a good skill foundation

My only advice would be go yellow. Its best at everything.

Proverbs 23:20-21 warns us, “Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat, for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags."

Reading this signature fills you with determination.

Re: Building a good skill foundation

Well once I got a good foundation to work with, I likely will do like I did in eve and cross train like a mofo...  work my way up to assualts/mechs in all colors.   Likely do yellow next due to most of the turret skills working over where missiles will require new skills

then grind out each tier on all over time

well, its will take you some time to get up in turret bots only...
crosstraining over to missiles is then like another half year to max out big_smile (106 days to get all missile related skills to lvl8)

the only three overlapping weapon extensions are:
Critical hit (up to 10% extra crit chance)
Target analysis (up to 10% extra damage)
and Fast Reload (switching magazines faster)

and you really want to get some extensions to lvl10, which costs ~1.5x as much as lvl1-8

for planning, you can use www.perp-planner.com
its not up-2-date with the recently added new extensions, but what matters are the skill complexities
