You should have been paying more attention to my underlying point that nerfing one thing makes another rise to the surface as FOTM which was previously kept in check by the one thing, instead of focusing on small-time thoughts of Ictus Online.

But I forgive you for focusing on insignificant details, since we're not on the same level. big_smile

Bottom line is that between CIR and 77 most of us have enough accounts that are specialized in all the individual roles to comfortably swap as Zoom tries to play whackamole with game balance. The newbies are... not so fortunate. lol

Effective Range: 719M (10M MORE THAN AN ICTUS MK2)

Oh and here is the best part.

To Run those ranges on a Seth you need the following Skills:

Advanced Robotics 4
Basic Robotics 4
Theolodical Control: 8

Now to run those same numbers and be 84 M more than a seth you need to have the following skills on an Ictus MK2:

Pelistal Control 9
Basic Robot Control 4
Electronic warfare specialist 5
Advanced robotics 10(Skill that increases optimal range)
hi tech robotics 10(Skill that increase optimal range)

I stand by my previous statement when I say the Devs stabbed the ictus pilots in the back on this one.  Because a 1.5 Million EP player can now have a 700K EP player go toe to toe with them on the field, and consequencely not allowing players to have their EP returned to them punishing veteran players who, if given the chance know about this massive nerf, would have never picked to specialize in enwar capabilitys.

And Burial maybe YOU, should test it before calling me a liar.  Because apparently YOU have no idea what your doing.

why didn't you field those full neut tuner fit seth's instead of ictus?

The patch is half done. Not sure why they didn't wait for it to be completed then launched.

You can use RSAs or play dumb and claim your effective range is capped at 450m. Doesn't change the fact Ictus gets more range.

With that said, if you can't find any advantages to Ictus then proceed with Seths. roll

i wonder why they can't link actual used fits.

going through all killmails of the last few days, the only neuts used have been on a Tyrannos, and on an ictus.
all other kills have been pure DPS kills.

Wrong. We ran tests 2+ years ago and found that a properly fitted Seth would always outneut a maxed Ictus Mk2. In fact, especially Seth MK2s were always quite interesting for enwar due to their alpha and the potential tank you could have. The main issue was and still is the effective range/tank tradeoff in which the Ictus comes out on top.

P.S. I think I used a fit like that once to instakill Beastmode when he played station games in a tanky ictus. That was fun.

Well, with 4 tuners the Seth needs 1 cycle to zap the Ictus MK2 dry, if it fires its neuts too. We did it with combat fits for both bots tho. Not sure whether stuff changes significantly when you use all tuners on the ictus, but it's not like it really matters. Back then, the main disadvantage of the neut seth was its more limited range, and that's still the case. At least if you want a Seth that can take similar levels of damage as the Ictus.

Because we both put ALL our limited EP into them, what do you want me to pilot, an arkhe?


I have 750k EP in green bots, almost all specialising in the Ictus, I have terrible missile skills also I cannot pilot any other faction.

Or would you like me to chuck some RL money at the DEV team to respec into yellow bots, no chance of that happening now after THAT patch, I have learnt that my limited EP is not safe, so why would I waste money respeccing when further down the line my change gets nerfed into uselessness and green becomes strong as hell.

Notice how the Mk1 was destroyed with consummate ease by yourselves without doing anything of significance.


We are not discussing how useless the Ictus is (which it is now) but how useless it is compared to NON Enwar bots, why train for one when almost every other bot is better at it's specialised job with the added advantage that they can do another job also.

Just look at the market now, no Ictus MK2 for sale and no buy orders up, anywhere.....
